We have booked it spontaneously. We were very late in the hotel.Unfortunately the poster could neither speak German nor English, but the lady was very friendly, helpful and very nice on the day service. We were very positively surprised when we were the room entrate.Rooms and bathrooms were very well equipped. Bed was also very comfortable. Our rooms were with terrace ,You can smoke on the terrace. Finally we were very satisfied and would book again at any time. Thank you for everything.
This is the best hotel in every way.
This is an impeccable hotel with fantastic views of the Tuscan countryside, clean bedrooms and bedding, clean bathrooms, very friendly staff and a great breakfast.
I am strongly recommending it to my friends and acquaintances.
During my trip to Rome, after shopping at The Mall Firenze and visiting Florence, I stayed at this hotel 30 minutes from Florence for a day, and returned to Rome via Siena and Bagnoregio for a 2-day, 1-night schedule.
We recommend checking in a little early to see the fantastic Tuscan sunset. This is a hotel I definitely want to visit again.
Ótimo hotel, fica numa região próxima (20 minutos de carro) de Florença! Quarto ótimo com aquecedor central banheiro grande e chuveiro quente e com ótima pressão! Café da manhã muito bom. Espaço ótimo e atendimento sempre pronto a ajudar. Único ponto que não foi 100% foi o restaurante a noite com poucas opções e sabor um pouco sem graça da refeição. Voltaríamos com certeza.
I had an excellent experience at a&o Hostel Firenze Campo di Marte. The place was very clean and well-maintained, making it comfortable throughout my stay. The location is perfect, close to transport links and easy to reach main attractions. The staff were friendly and always ready to assist, which made the service outstanding. Amenities were also excellent, providing everything needed for a convenient and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended for solo travelers visiting Florence.
There is a laundry room, so it is good to take a day off. The amount of laundry is 5 euros for laundry and 5 euros for dryer. Only 1 euro coins are available.
The hotel was nice and Tidy as you'd expect from a five star hotel. Breakfast was great and staff helpful. What I found strange was that you had to pay to use the spa (use of sauna etc.) With hefty price tag of €70 PP on Friday. My mattress was knackered springs broken and one side virtually collapsed. The bathroom door was taty with bits peeling off. Admittedly, I couldn't be bothered to complain and get my room changed after unpacking our stuff and noticing the state of mattress late at night. And parking was €18 per night, which I didn't notice of any mention of their website or Trip.com. They charged me for 2 instead 3 when I mentioned the mattress before checking out. To be honest there has to be some level checking the condition of the beds by the supervisor. The pool on the roof was very small, not worth bothering with except if want to sit beside it for suntanning. I didn'tnotice any offer of drinks or food at the pool. I gave service a four star only because we asked for couple of things to the room which didn't happen.
This is a very distinctive hotel, located in an ancient town. It is hard to imagine how exquisite the interior is from the outside.
If you are curious about the life of people in the ancient town, it is worth experiencing, but remember to eat before coming back, as shopping and eating around here are not very convenient and require driving.
Breakfast was adequate and tasty
Very satisfied hotel, good breakfast, very quiet, the surrounding environment is very good, the room has a living room, and the overall is very large, very recommended.

GGuest UserI stayed here on the first day after arriving in Florence. It was very convenient and easy to get around, as it was only a few minutes walk from the airport to the last stop on the T2 line. The room was about twice as large as a Japanese business hotel, had everything I needed, and even a hair dryer, which was helpful. There was no bath, just a shower room, but it was clean. I thought it was stylish that they used absorbent linen instead of face towels to wipe their faces.
There were many restaurants nearby within a 10-minute walk, so I was able to eat leisurely until 11pm. Breakfast was included the next day, so I enjoyed delicious bread, ham, and espresso. It was about a 5-minute walk to the Academy Museum, where the David statue is located, and I headed there after having a leisurely breakfast. This hotel has a great location and is convenient for sightseeing.
AAnastasiaIt was exactly as you expect 3star hotel to be, a bit worn out, but has it's charm.
my room was simple, but tidy. Main inconvenience was the bathroom, although clean, it has two downsides: 1) the shower is quite small and when you get inside the curtain is always sticking to you. 2) the toilet flash was broken, never worked on the first try - I had to press many-many times to flush it.
It didn't ruin the experience, but it's a bit annoying for sure
YYingmucaodaoI stayed for three days and forgot to take pictures. First of all, the hotel has a good location, with restaurants, supermarkets and art galleries nearby. Secondly, the room is relatively large, which is rare in Europe. Finally, the front desk service and breakfast service are very good. It is a cost-effective hotel.
GGuest UserWe didn’t realise that this place is only having driveway to get there. At night, we carried two 23kg big suitcases and walked there. That was a terrible experience. Other than that, the AC inside the room seemed to have some problem, we felt so hot and hard to breath during our stay. But tbh, I didn’t expect much with the price (£94 per night)
LLordRazorFantastic stay in Hotel Athena in Siena! They are one of the few hotels that offer free parking within the city walls and outside of the ZTL zone. About 10 mins walk into main town. Definitely took away the headache of the need to look for parking. Also a great base to explore the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Their included buffet breakfast offers a comprehensive spread, tho we wishes that they would change the spread daily! But that's a small issue. They also have a terrace on the 7th floor that looks out to the Tuscan countryside. Wonderful views - check out the attached photo! Overall we definitely recommend this hotel and will be happy to stay here again if we visit again!
SSeanSeccoWe stayed here for a night with breakfast included. Very spacious, really beautiful and quiet room despite the little road. Mastodontic structure and with a great potential perhaps not expressed at the maximum. Thermal pools are very valuable, bad for the open-air bath with a slightly thin and therefore unusable water. We enjoyed relaxing massage, very valuable! We had dinner at the restaurant, good and exhaustive. Breakfast is very pleasant. All the feet and young boys. One bad check-in at 15, so if you arrive in the morning there will be a supplement to enjoy the SPA. Maybe it would have been right to be transparent and to state it on the site, a great discovery in general.
GGuest UserGreat location with a terrace with the perfect view. Shame that the bar it is not open all day. It will be great to sit down and have a coffee/ drink/snack there.
Also, there is no kettle or coffee machine in the room.
Ssaiiiii8Overall, the service attitude is good and friendly. If you need anything, they will try their best to solve it patiently. However, the facilities are relatively old and the sound insulation is poor. It seems like a family-run business, but the equipment is poor and incomplete.
GGuest UserA very enjoyable stay! The breakfasts were delicious – both classic European options, as well as fresh fruit and local pastries (the cakes were a big plus). The room was very clean and well-maintained. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful at every step. The hotel is located in a quiet area, just a 2-minute walk from the train stop with connections to Lucca. We took the photos during our stay, so please excuse a bit of a mess – in reality, everything looks great.
1118390****This hotel in Florence is more like a B&B. It is a very old house. There is no 24-hour front desk, which I overlooked. It was already past seven when I arrived. The door was locked and I needed to call to communicate (I later found that the hotel had sent me an email with the door code). I found that there was no elevator after entering the door, and the stairs were very narrow. I almost cried. When I booked, I saw that no one complained about the lack of elevator in the comments, so I didn't confirm it again. The room I was given was on the fourth floor. After communicating for a long time, I could only lock the big box at the front desk and take the necessary things to the room. Fortunately, I negotiated with Maria at the front desk early the next morning to upgrade me to a deluxe room on a lower floor, and later she helped me move my luggage. Thank her very much. The biggest advantage of the hotel is convenience. It is ten minutes away from the train station, but because the road is old, it is a bit inconvenient to drag heavy luggage. It is close to the Central Market, Duomo de Fiore, Medici Chapel and Academy of Fine Arts Museum, and you can walk there.
Maybe the hotel's hardware facilities are defective, and it provides a wealth of free drinks, free coffee at the front desk, biscuits, etc., which is quite heartwarming. There is no breakfast in the hotel. For breakfast, you need to give a breakfast coupon to go to the cooperating restaurant to get a piece of bread and a cup of coffee. You can choose the variety. There are many small restaurants around, which is convenient.
