The hotel was fine for what we paid. The room was spacious, and although outdated, still pleasant and comfortable. We slept well.
The hotel complex itself was very large with multiple buildings containing the rooms, which made it confusing to find our room, especially since one of the two the elevators for our building- (the elevator closest to our 5th story room) was out of order, so we had to re-park our car when we finally found our building and the working elevator.
But overall it was fine and the location was good, with everything we needed close by.
This is one of our favourite hotels anywhere. We took our entire three generation family there from the UK a couple of years ago and this year we effectively added a two day stay onto a two week villa rental vacation just so that we could revisit the hotel and play the golf course. We did have a few complaints about two things.
We visited the Italian restaurant’ Cala Bella’ and whilst we enjoyed most of our starters we didn’t really enjoy our main courses with the food feeling pre prepared and warmed up rather than fresh. We sent some back and there was no quibble about taking these off the bill but it was a disappointing dining experience. For that money in a top class hotel everything should be freshly prepared
We felt that some of the charges were excessive, a 20% service charge on a $30 self serve breakfast buffet is scandalous . Similarly $32/day for self parking felt excessive.
This was our third visit to this hotel- will there be a fourth ?

The hotel's exterior is nice, but the interior is a bit dated and has a musty smell. They change towels and empty the trash daily, and a full room cleaning is done every three days. There's a shuttle service to Disneyland and Universal Studios, though the return shuttle schedule is a bit early. There's an outlet mall across from the hotel, but you need to call a taxi to get there, which isn't very convenient.

I could tell the hotel had been really nice once. It had just weathered a storm a lot of the rooms were not working. My room did not have electricity by the bed nor did the phone work. other than that, trip.com got the wrong dates on my reservation. They book me for Saturday and Sunday leaving Monday, but my conference, the only reason for my trip, started Monday. Essentially they had me checking out on the day the conference was to begin. I told them immediately but they did nothing about it. trip.com not worth the effort. The Shores resort and spa Daytona Beach will be back and certainly worth the stay if you can get over the front desk staff…. except for the one with the purple ish colored hair. she’s a keeper.

The room has typical American-style decor. It's close to the road and conveniently located near a large McDonald's and a supermarket. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, making it easy to get to the airport. It's also quite convenient for visiting the night market in the evening. They don't provide slippers and there's a charge for luggage storage. For a one-night stay, the value for money is decent.

The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. However, the air conditioning was a bit noisy. Slippers are not provided, so remember to bring your own. There's a coffee shop and a pizza place on the ground floor, which is very convenient for dining and drinks. Orlando summers are hot and sunny, and I felt walking to Universal Studios was a bit far. I'd recommend taking a taxi.

My wife and I, my 60-year-old mother, and my 20-year-old sister stayed in the Cars Suite, a total of four of us.
There were two bedrooms and two bathrooms, so we were able to maintain a certain amount of privacy for each other and had a comfortable stay.
There was also a microwave, sink, small refrigerator, and coffee maker, so we were able to have breakfast in our room during our stay.
The shuttle bus to Disney World was convenient, and there were plenty of shops and food courts, making it the perfect place for a Disney vacation.

Initially, I randomly selected a hotel for my trip. I discovered that the hotel is close to the venue of the event I planned to attend, which makes me feel relieved. The room is spacious and clean. The food is just average and not particularly impressive. The amenities and services are excellent. One suggestion I have is that it would be great if the hotel provided slippers.

It's a nice quiet location that is not terribly far away from the major parks. The room itself was, although slightly dated, very comfortable but the bathroom cleanliness could be a bit better. I didn't use the facilities there but the pool looked refreshing. The staff were extremely pleasant and gave the hotel a general warm-welcoming atmosphere.
Hotel itself was fine. Was a bit annoyed that the bar was not open even for a soft drink if wanted till much later. When I went down to get a bite to eat I was informed that most of the menu was not available and my selection was limited to about three items to choose from. What I found most annoying was that apparently they had some type of youth group training going on on my floor which was right next to my room. Numerous times I heard the participants laughing or conversing loudly in the hall way. Whenever I decided to leave my room to go downstairs I had to run through a gantlet of participants who were having their break out session in the hallway of which I had to walk through disrupting their conversations. While they were polite about it, it did make me feel uncomfortable to leave the room while they were doing this. When I did mention to the desk what was going on they told me about the group which was fine but I wish they would have put me on another floor if this was going on. Overall it was just an overnight stay here before a cruise but honestly next time I would choose a different hotel.

EEmpty nest travelingThe hotel is good for the amount we are paying. We definitely would come again. Convenient to the beach
GGuest UserThis is BY FAR the nicest Motel 6 that my bf and I have been to. We are, of course, travelling with our two dogs, one is a service dog and the other I just inherited. Anyway, we have been to several of the motel 6s recently and all have had really bad everything, but THIS one, this location was and IS outstanding! There are just the basics, but they all work. So the internet is great, fridge and microwave both present and newer, clean and nice. Clean towels, though not many, but they're clean. The beds are AMAZING, especially compared to all the terrible ones we encountered in the Jacksonville, Ft Lauderdale and Palm Beach areas (those were hit or miss but mostly pretty awful). This appears to be a family run establishment and they actually seem to care about their hotel. The older couple are pretty much just there doing their job, are pleasant, not much English or maybe they just don't talk a lot (no biggie though), but the younger guys are friendly and nice to chat with. The only drawbacks here are no onsite laundry, no late check out even for a fee, and the phone doesn't work so if you don't have a cell you're s.o.o.l.
At this point, we will keep using this hotel until we are ready to get into our house.
MMolinaMarisolThis hotel was a great stay. Staff was helpful and friendly upon arrival and departure. There are some issues with the door key cards. We had to get them reprogrammed several times to get in the room, but it was just a technical difficulty of the key -- if it touches any magnet, such as phone or credit cards, it would lose he ability to unlock the door. The rooms were fairly clean and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this stay for solo or couple travelers with it's ambiance. There is a Mexican bar at entrance and taco restaurant next door (Abuela's) that as a guest you get 15% off. Also free happy hour cocktails 5-6pm. Great vibes, would definitely stay again if I travel to Miami Beach!
GGuest UserFirst of all, I want to state that there is absolutely no racial discrimination. However, when I checked in at 3 a.m. after flying for more than ten hours, I walked into the store and asked the only black clerk, ”Hi, where is the reception?” The other party actually replied to me, ”I’m the only one here, are you blind?” I was shocked. I have been to so many countries, and this is the first time I feel the ”hospitality” of the people of Florida. Although the clerk apologized to me in the end and complained that he was always scheduled to work late and couldn’t go back to be with his children, so he was in a bad mood (he talked to me for a long time), but the first impression still refreshed my three views, and I finally gave a tip. However, the other employees are not bad, most of them are minorities, and the transportation is also very convenient. In short, it is a very ”strange” stay experience
999mmFrom the disappointment on the first day to the surprise on the second day, this trip is very, very satisfying. Because the room I was given on the first night was very noisy, I didn’t sleep well one night, and I wanted to change the room the next day. Because I can’t communicate well in English, I tried to contact Ctrip’s customer service to discuss changing the room with the hotel, and the hotel quickly responded. The problem of changing rooms was solved, and the changed rooms satisfied us very much. Thank you Ctrip and Kimpton Hotel Palomar South Bay for giving us a very pleasant stay experience.
RRosanetta WilliamsNatasha great worker. I love staying at this motel.. it's the cheapest one in town and the best spot all around thank for having a great quiet peace of mind. Motel 6
DDeehanSuperb facilities and location. Rooms exceptional and housekeeping staff great! A workforce (and teams) of two halves - some friendly and helpful, others rude and dismissive of guests - equally felt as if some staff were working harder than others and a lot of ‘standing around’ by the work shy crew members pretending to be busy doing very little. Could be an amazing experience if service (and staff training) was consistent.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel has a good location, good rooms and good service. There is a small mall nearby, which is very convenient for eating. There are several convenience stores for buying water and food, and they sell medicine 24 hours a day. If you take a cruise ship, it is very close to the ship in about ten minutes.
