After comparing several hotels, we finally chose this one, and it exceeded our expectations! The value for money is outstanding. Firstly, the location is perfect – peaceful yet central. Just 100 meters to the left is the Twin Pagodas scenic area, and Elephant Trunk Hill is only about 1 km away on foot. What really stood out were the excellent hotel facilities and service quality. My child actually loved staying in the room and napping for two afternoons straight (though adjusting to the time difference after returning home also played a role). My child is very particular about hotel stays, so her satisfaction is rare; in Shanghai, she only stays at The Puli Hotel. The hotel's dining was incredibly impressive. Upon check-in, we received a complimentary local specialty, Beer Fish (valued at 98 yuan). The ingredients were fresh and it was deliciously prepared – fantastic! We ended up ordering all our subsequent meals from the hotel restaurant. I checked, and the hotel restaurant ranks number one locally on Dazhong (Dianping)! Highly recommended! This is the king of value-for-money hotels in Guilin!

The hotel looks good in photo but less so in person. The view is as advertised, but the interior detailing in the hotel room is not up to the standard of a premium hotel. The condition of the pools and some of the other amenities in the hotel remind me of an abandoned water park. The hotel has 8 buildings. The room you book is likely not the one you saw on social media. Your experience with the room may vary depending in the building you are in. The hotel location is also a bit out of the way. Fortunately there is complementary shuttle service and paid scooter rental. Overall, it was still a good experience (because of the view). We were just a bit disappointed with the room condition.

The hotel is new and the service is excellent. It's very convenient, and they even thoughtfully provided disposable bath bags and toilet seat covers. Downstairs, you're right by the river, and next to a night market with street food and a pedestrian street. You absolutely have to try the complimentary wheat bran hair wash – it seems to be a specialty of Liuzhou, with hair salons everywhere. I paid extra for the family combo, which was incredibly comfortable and great value for money. The travel photos turned out amazing, highly recommended! The family room was on the 2nd floor. I thought for such a high price, we'd get a higher floor with a river view, but the upside was that the kids' ball pit was right outside the door, and my child had a fantastic time. The floor-to-ceiling windows at the 12th-floor bar and the outdoor balcony at the 13th-floor restaurant offer a great view of the musical fountain at night, helping you avoid the crowds downstairs. The only downside is that the hotel gets busy, and the restaurant is a bit small, so there were no tables available during breakfast peak hours. If I get the chance to visit Liuzhou again, I'll definitely stay at the Wyndham.

Gulong Stay Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) I recently stayed near Gulong Canyon and had a wonderful experience overall. The area is surrounded by lush green mountains and rivers, so the views are absolutely stunning, especially in the early morning with mist in the valley. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had a rustic charm that fit the natural setting. The main attraction — the glass bridge and skywalk — was breathtaking (and a little scary if you’re afraid of heights). Staff were friendly and helpful, though English was limited, so having a translation app helped. Local food was fresh and tasty, especially the river fish dishes. One tip: bring comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for some steep climbs. It’s best to visit on weekdays to avoid heavy crowds. Would I come back? Definitely — especially to enjoy more hiking trails and maybe try the zipline next time.

From my room window, I could see Vietnam, and the front desk even warned me that if I had an iPhone, it might pick up signals from the neighboring country and my time zone could change. The rooftop observation deck offers an even better view of the border scenery, encompassing both Dongxing in China and Mong Cai in Vietnam. 2) When I booked on Trip.com, I specifically requested a non-smoking room, and the hotel front desk truly delivered! The floor and room were genuinely free of any secondhand smoke. Honestly, in a fourth-tier city in (what is arguably the world's number one country for secondhand smoke), this was a rare and pleasant surprise. 3) It's quite close to the Dongxing Port, just a 5-minute walk away. If you want to experience the charm of a border town right from your room, and if you appreciate clean room facilities and fresh, natural air, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel exceeded all my expectations; it's more like a one-stop resort complex than just a hotel. **Food:** As a seasoned foodie, the dining experience is always my top priority, and this place truly delivered with a different menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, but my heart will forever belong to their Guilin rice noodles. Made to order, served with a spoonful of secret braised sauce, fried soybeans, and pickled long beans – the flavor was absolutely divine! I had to have two bowls to truly satisfy my craving. It's also worth noting that the soy milk during breakfast is freshly ground, incredibly smooth, and full of natural soybean flavor, tasting just like homemade. Pairing that with a freshly brewed coffee while enjoying the view by the window was such a relaxing and therapeutic experience. **Photography:** Another hidden gem of my stay was the complimentary travel photoshoot. I initially just planned to snap a few pictures for memories, but the photographer was excellent at directing, and the compositions were fantastic. What truly impressed me was the post-processing. When I received the photos, I noticed only subtle adjustments to lighting and color, with my skin texture beautifully preserved. There was no over-editing or artificial beautification; it looked natural and very high-end. **Unexpected Delights:** The hotel's most unique feature is surprisingly its cormorant birds! Due to my schedule, I unfortunately missed seeing them, which was a bit of a shame. They also offer intangible cultural heritage craft experiences! **Butler service is available 24 hours.**

The high-rise experience was absolutely perfect! From the lobby to the room, everything felt like it was in the clouds. The 270° panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows framed the beautiful Nanning scenery right into the room. The facilities are top-notch, and Aurelia the butler provided excellent service; she even prepared a small cake for me when she found out it was my birthday, which was incredibly thoughtful. The service from Lexi, Colin, Jenna, and Ally was also great. I'll definitely be back in a couple of days!

Nanning was the second stop on our ***** New Year trip, and for convenience, we chose a hotel in the central area! [Location] The hotel's location is indeed excellent, very close to the subway, right next to a commercial street, making dining, shopping, and getting around very convenient. Objectively speaking, the hotel's only strong point is its location... [Environment] The hotel lobby has a popular spiral staircase, but other than that, it's really old and rundown. Because there are several restaurants in the building, there's a constant flow of people, making it not only feel chaotic but also unsafe! [Room] The room was the worst part. I genuinely read reviews saying that even though it's an old hotel, the interior was quite new, and it was even a local 'influencer' hotel. However, the room we stayed in was genuinely old. The cabinet door was broken, the refrigerator door was damaged, and there wasn't even a clothesline in the bathroom, and so on and so forth. I'm too lazy to go on... [Service] This I must commend! The cleaning lady who tidied our room during our stay always greeted us, and if we needed anything, she would immediately come to help. The room was also cleaned very well. Give this lady an extra drumstick! [Dining] We had breakfast in the restaurant and also one buffet dinner. The service was truly awful. My honest experience with that buffet dinner was that it's just an 'influencer' restaurant; the promotions were much better than the actual food. It was a stark contrast between the seller's photos and the buyer's reality... The excuses about having many guests during the ***** New Year and being unable to keep up with service and dishes are just that – excuses. Didn't you prepare for this in advance? In short, 'influencer' hotels and 'influencer' restaurants are just for show...

The service was excellent. The front desk staff saw that we had a child with us and thoughtfully moved us to a non-smoking room and even upgraded our stay. The bellhop not only helped with our luggage but also gave us a detailed overview of the hotel's amenities. When checking out, the lobby manager patiently looked after our bags. In short, the hotel staff's service was outstanding, very friendly, and enthusiastic – big thumbs up to them! Secondly, the hotel's location is superb. It's right behind a bustling commercial area, which is incredibly convenient with a wide variety of shops and products – perfect for a shopping spree. The lobby is clean, bright, and has a pleasant aroma from the scented diffusers and fresh flowers. They also offer delicious fruit tea. The overall atmosphere is fantastic. The room itself was also very satisfying. It felt quite modern with a unique layout and was spacious enough. The facilities are well-maintained. The gym is clean, tidy, bright, spacious, and well-equipped. The pool water was very clean and at a comfortable temperature. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the shower space was quite roomy. A housekeeper cleans the room daily. Overall, the value for money is exceptional. If I had to choose again, I would definitely stay here. Highly recommended!

The biggest surprise was the super-sized bathtub; bath time became the most enjoyable part of my day. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and they even thoughtfully provided both soft and firm pillows to cater to different sleeping preferences – attention to detail at its finest! The restaurant is on the 9th floor, with a stunning outdoor pool just outside. Enjoying breakfast while admiring the beautiful view was pure bliss. Smart and convenient: The room was equipped with a smart 'Xiaodu' speaker, making voice control incredibly convenient. Food deliveries were brought directly to our door by an adorable robot, which was both efficient and fun. There's also a self-service laundry room near the rooms, which is a lifesaver for long-term travelers. But the service is truly the trump card: From the moment we checked in and added the butler on WeChat, we felt incredibly well taken care of. Any request we had was met with an immediate response and solution from the butler. What touched me most was an incident during breakfast today: an elderly person accidentally knocked over their tray, spilling food everywhere. The staff present didn't show any hesitation or displeasure; they rushed over immediately to comfort the startled elder, repeatedly asking if they were hurt, and swiftly and quietly cleaned up the mess. The entire process was filled with genuine concern. This kind of heartfelt kindness and professionalism is more precious than any luxurious facility. It was raining when we checked out, and the front desk staff proactively offered us disposable raincoats. This constant thoughtfulness made our whole family feel incredibly warm. Even our child was clamoring, ”I don't want to go to the next stop, I just want to keep staying here!” This wasn't just a stay; it was an experience filled with warm memories. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, heartfelt accommodation!
