Romantic Hotels in Henan, China

This is a good choice when I made my booking to an unknown city. Location wise so near to main attraction such as Louyang Ancient City. It does not sit exactly in the main street so you have to walk a bit roughly 200m inside. With luggage maybe found bit difficulty as uneven stone pathway to the hotel. Though this should not dampen your mood for staying here. I got ground floor. I guess those without balcony were given groud floor. It have high floor to ceiling window/sliding door facing the main pathway. Can't really open the curtain then everyone pass though will see you. Upper floor should not have this issue. There this side upright chair/cusyen where one can just sit and lounge around eating all the snack one just bought outside the street. TV is big I do not have time to watch any. I think tis the subscription version. All necessary amenities is available. 🤷 There's washing machine but only operational 10am to 10pm and I didn't have time to use it. Ground floor may have issue with sound as I can hear upstairs things moving around but I'm so tired from all day walk so this just temporary nuisance. All in all I highly recommend this place if the area you intended to visit is around the hotel.

My first time at JW Marriott Zhengzhou, and everything from service to quality was top-notch. The hotel looks stunning at night, and the location is fantastic. The executive lounge offers memorable views and food, and the breakfast even includes local Zhengzhou specialties like egg rolls and 'roujiamo' (Chinese hamburger), which were delicious. Upon arrival, I received a welcome snack; the peanuts were incredibly flavorful, a pleasant surprise. I requested mosquito repellent, and it was delivered to my room very quickly with excellent service. A special thanks to Luna from the hotel's customer service center; her service was incredibly thoughtful. She even helped mail my charger back home after realizing I left it in the room—I'm truly grateful! I'll definitely be back!

The design is a delightful surprise, a rare retro gem. Everything from the hotel's exterior, lobby, and hallways to the rooms feels cohesive and visually stunning. The front desk service was excellent, and the breakfast was good. The room was also quite spacious. There's a bus stop right downstairs and Xigong Xiaojie, with tons of food options, is just across the street. The only issue was that the XiaoDu voice assistant was a complete pain.

The overall experience at this hotel was excellent and really enhanced my trip! I'm usually very particular about hygiene when I stay at hotels. I was pleasantly surprised that even with the large crowds during the May Day holiday, the cleaning staff did a very thorough job. The lobby and corridors were spotless, and the room felt especially bright and tidy as soon as I entered. I felt completely comfortable using the bathroom and sink. The air conditioning, water heater, and TV were all new, and the internet was fast. Their toiletries are also worth a special mention – they were comprehensive and very good quality. The front desk staff were also very helpful, offering suggestions and directions when I went out shopping. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Zhengzhou!

It was alittle further than some of the places I wanted to go but it’s no fault of the hotel! Hotel is clean, staff are friendly and helpful and also gave me an upgrade being off peak season! Room is spacious and bed is comfortable! Though once the curtains were shut the room became very dark due to its colour scheme and decor which makes it hard to read even when I had all the lights on! Was in Zhengzhou to catch up with friends so didn’t do much sightseeing but lots of options of malls to go to!

The intern at the front desk, Sun Junyi, was lovely and enthusiastic, much better than the two people who were there on the day I checked in! The check-in process was so inefficient; from the moment I walked in, no one paid any attention to me while I was queuing. I just stood there! Couldn't a staff member or someone nearby at least offer a greeting? The room itself was still good, although a bit old, but the cleanliness, layout, and essential standards were all met. The soundproofing was truly excellent; I even wondered if there was anyone else on that floor. For someone like me who has trouble sleeping, this was a blessing.

The environment here is great, and the sunken bathtub in the room is huge, making for a very relaxing soak. The hotel provides a shuttle bus that drops you off right at the entrance, and it's just a 3-minute walk to the Duanmen Gate of Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden. However, the hotel's service left a lot to be desired. My daughter got sick and needed to go to the hospital urgently, but when I asked the front desk for help, their responses were incredibly cold and unhelpful. They said things like, ”You can search for a hospital yourself,” ”Call a taxi yourself,” and ”We don't know.” While I ended up arranging everything myself, their completely indifferent attitude was really off-putting.

This hotel's overall design is amazing. As soon as you step in, you're greeted by beautiful scenery and even color-changing panels. The front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful; they offered me a warm cup of water right away. Staff assisted me with my luggage all the way to my room and then gave me a thorough introduction to the amenities. In the evenings, there's live music at the bar, which creates a fantastic atmosphere. The bartenders are also very professional and engaging, able to craft custom drinks based on your preferences. The afternoon tea is delicious, with cute pastries and drinks – perfect for Instagram-worthy photos. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Zhengzhou!

The hotel's location is truly excellent and quite central. To the right, just straight out of the hotel, is the Ancient City of Weidu. Not far behind the hotel is Chunqiu Tower (which you can also reach by walking from the Ancient City of Weidu), and across the street is Pang Dong Lai Times Square. If you head left from the hotel, you can get to Wenfeng Pagoda (passing by Pang Dong Lai). Maybe I just enjoy walking, so anything within 15 minutes doesn't feel like a big deal, haha. For Baling Bridge and the museum, you'll need a taxi, but they're quite close, so a taxi ride isn't expensive – it's just a bit far to walk. Wanda Plaza is also quite close if you take a taxi. The hotel environment is very comfortable, and the rooms are also very comfortable, clean, and tidy. I had a very pleasant stay. Plus, the hotel service is absolutely fantastic! The front desk and every staff member were wonderful – very gentle and polite, and they handled things incredibly fast and efficiently. I really give this a huge thumbs up!

My stay was absolutely perfect! Echo at the front desk was incredibly professional and welcoming. She proactively communicated our needs and made the check-in process very efficient. The room was spacious and elegant, with a calming low-saturation color palette. The bathroom was bright and airy, with excellent water pressure and high-quality amenities. The night view from the high floor was stunning; watching the city lights come alive at dusk was incredibly therapeutic. The dining options were extensive. The Cantonese cuisine at Le Mei Chinese Restaurant was authentic, and the afternoon tea at the Executive Lounge was exquisite. During Happy Hour, the drinks were free-flowing, and the food was fresh. Quality truly shows in the details, making this my top choice for both business and leisure travel.
