First, the pros: The natural scenery at this hotel is absolutely breathtaking, making even the West Lake State Guest House seem modest in comparison. The boardwalks throughout the hotel are also beautifully maintained. If you're looking for peace and quiet, there's no need to visit the East Lake Scenic Area nearby – this place *is* the scenic area. While staying at the hotel, you can also visit Mao Zedong's former residence. There's a restaurant next to the residence with an impeccable dining environment, which I unfortunately only discovered upon checking out. The hotel's east gate has a bus terminal where you can catch a bus to the museum, Yellow Crane Tower, and Tanhualin. It’s a great way to enjoy the city views while traveling. There are also many restaurants nearby. Now for the cons: The facilities are a bit dated. The outlets in the room are very loose; I could only charge my devices in the bathroom. Also, there are so many mirrors that it constantly created visual illusions. There's no elevator access to the rooms for breakfast, so I had to climb stairs every time. Despite these points, I still highly recommend this hotel and hope for improvements.

Everything about the B&B facilities and decorations is very romantic and full of literary and artistic a**osphere. The words ”Heart Lake” and the artistic decorations are very good when you go down the stairs. It's great to visit an art gallery. It's perfect for making tea around the stove on rainy days. It's very pleasant to listen to the rain and drink tea among the mountains and rivers. The large glass windows in the room seem to be in the middle of the lake. Haha, it's very comfortable. If you have enough time, wouldn't it be better to relax here for a few days? Very satisfied and worth staying again!

The location is fantastic, very close to Bagongfangzi, with plenty of dining options right downstairs and popular tea shops like Cha Yan Yue Se and Grandpa's Tea nearby. They offered coffee upon check-in and proactively helped with luggage and gave us souvenirs when checking out. The hotel's location is a perfect 100 points! Just downstairs are Jianghan Customs and the pedestrian street, making it incredibly convenient for city walks, dining, and entertainment (as shown in the pictures, all within 100 meters of the hotel, offering an amazing tourist experience). The twin room's location was average, and the facilities were just okay (after all, it's an old building, the wet/dry separation in the bathroom was poor, it was small, and there was a leak). All in all, the quality of the service made up for the shortcomings of the room (even though the facilities were old, the hairdryer and toiletries provided were exquisite, with a lovely, high-end rose scent). I would still recommend booking a king room of a higher standard to get good views of the Yangtze River and the city.

The hotel underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2024, so while the room's layout retains a classic hotel style, the soft furnishings, carpets, and other elements are all new, making for a very comfortable stay. The fruit for breakfast was already rotten, but it was served to customers openly. I have never encountered such a situation.
