This 12-day Chinese New Year family trip, Shangri-La Nanchang was by far the most comfortable hotel we stayed in. The location is superb, with convenient transportation. The tram downstairs goes directly to all the major popular attractions.
What truly impressed me was the service; they genuinely made us feel at home. Check-in was very thoughtful. They proactively arranged our two rooms together and patiently explained why there was a connecting room in between (due to the king-size bed layout). They also meticulously inquired about all our needs. On the day we left, our child wasn't feeling well and fell asleep, and the hotel was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to extend our check-out until 2 PM without any rush or催促, which was particularly heartwarming.
The room view was unbeatable, directly facing Tengwang Pavilion from the window. We could even watch the fireworks display from our room, and the staff even proactively reminded us to tune the TV to the music channel to accompany the viewing. Additionally, the robot delivery for takeout was very prompt, and the buffet dinner was affordable, delicious, and offered a wide variety of dishes. The overall experience was impeccable, highly recommended!

I stayed at the Taoshe Resort Hotel (Taoyangli Scenic Area Branch) in December, and it was a fantastic experience! The hotel's location is superb, nestled within the Yuyao Jing Alley, right next to the Changjiang River. The surrounding area has an ancient charm, and it's very close to attractions like the Imperial Kiln Museum and Taoyangli Historical District, all within walking distance.
The hotel environment offers a quiet retreat amidst the bustling area, blending Huizhou architecture with modern design, giving it a very artistic feel. The rooms are well-equipped, the bedding is comfortable, and they even offer free Hanfu and pottery experiences, which are quite unique. The breakfast was rich and delicious, and the freshly ground coffee was also excellent. The staff were enthusiastic and proactively helped me upgrade my room, and even thoughtfully provided recommendations for exploring the surrounding area. Overall, I was extremely satisfied and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Jingdezhen!
The room is clean, well-equipped, and the service is very good. The hotel is well-equipped and is an ideal place for our vacation. The front desk staff is warm and thoughtful, and the service attitude is very good. The hotel is conveniently located and easy to travel. DoubleTree by Hilton is worth staying at again!

Jingdezhen Xingshan Shiwai Dongliyuan | Under the Phoenix Trees, Stealing Half a Day of Leisure
If you're looking for a getaway in Jingdezhen, Xingshan Shiwai Dongliyuan is definitely the top choice for escaping the world. Staying in the 'Wutongying' (Phoenix Tree Shadow) room takes relaxation to a whole new level. Every detail showcases the ingenuity of Chinese aesthetics, leaving a lasting impression.
The private courtyard and flowing water are the biggest highlights of the room. The vegetation is artfully arranged and meticulously maintained, with gurgling streams flowing around the greenery. Opening the door reveals a vibrant, living scene of a Jiangnan garden, both tranquil and healing. At night, you fall asleep to the croaking of frogs, and in the morning, you're awakened by the crisp chirping of birds. The natural white noise is gentle and soothing, ensuring a good night's sleep.
The spacious indoor tea room and living area truly captured my heart. In the quiet of the night, burning incense and brewing a pot of tea, listening to the sound of flowing water outside the courtyard, you can cast aside all worries. It's so comfortable you won't want to move. There are also two free tea rooms within the resort, with the 'Yuesu' tea room being particularly elegant. Its serene environment makes it a perfect place to calmly enjoy tea and clear your mind.
My favorite part was going to the top for the view. As night fell, climbing the steps, I looked up to see a bright moon in the sky. The moonlight spilled over the mountains, creating an incredible ambiance – a romance unique to this place. In the evening, there's also a live band at the bar. Enjoying a drink with the music creates a wonderful atmosphere.
The overall environment is tranquil and elegant, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet it doesn't lose its charm and local flavor. Whether you want an immersive relaxation experience or to savor a Chinese slow-paced life, this place couldn't be more perfect. If you're vacationing in Jingdezhen, choosing Xingshan Shiwai Dongliyuan is definitely the right decision. Highly recommended!
Looking to escape the crowds during Chinese New Year, I spontaneously booked a stay here with my parents and children. It turned out to be an excellent choice for a restful night. The hotel also offered many craft activities, which kept the kids entertained. When the staff learned we had missed the Ciba-making activity, they specially asked the kitchen to steam a new batch and arranged an extra session for us. The only slight disappointment was that the sky lanterns at night didn't have enough air and couldn't fly, which saddened the children a bit. Upon checkout, staff member Chen Yongman drove us in the shuttle to the lobby entrance for a photo, and then directly to the parking lot to help us with our luggage. We really appreciate his help.
Met up with a few old friends in Yingtan and chose the Hampton by Hilton as our gathering spot. The hotel's location is pretty central; it took about ten minutes by taxi to get to our dinner place in the old city, and there's a convenience store nearby for drinks and snacks. The lobby is spacious, so even with a few friends waiting in the lounge area during check-in, it didn't feel crowded. Our rooms were all on the same floor, and the hygiene was excellent – clean bedding with no strange smells, and the bathroom trash was always emptied promptly. The rooms were also well-ventilated. The service was friendly and efficient; the front desk staff were patient and thorough when processing individual check-ins for multiple people. Our request for a late check-out was kindly accommodated, and room service responded quickly. The facilities perfectly met our needs for a get-together; the sofa area in the room was big enough for three or four of us to sit around and chat, and the TV's screen-mirroring feature made it easy to share travel photos. The flexible breakfast hours were also perfect for our late-riser group. As a choice for a friends' reunion, the hotel provided just the right convenience in terms of space arrangement and time flexibility, making our gathering even more relaxed and enjoyable.

The room is clean and spacious with a very comfy bed. The hotel provides almost everything you need and allows early check in which is perfect for me to rest a while after a long journey.
The hotel is not too far away from major attractions and close to many food stores/grocery shops, it is easy to get quality food around the area. That said, their breakfast buffet offers a good variety of Chinese food, it's definitely good for value and more importantly convenient.
Staff are friendly and helpful as always although I'm not sure if communicating in English would be equally easy as the hotel mainly serves local tourists.

I was pleasantly surprised when I got to the hotel. I only speak English, so all the staff was very patient with me. For any English speakers like me that stay here, just ask for Lily. She is fluent in English and can help you with anything during your stay. Ganzhou is smaller than a city like Shanghai, but I would recommend it if you want to save some money.

The hotel is right by the Ganjiang River, offering excellent views and a great location. There's a subway station nearby, making transportation very convenient. I checked in in the morning, and the front desk staff (the young man) was very nice, giving me a free upgrade to an executive room. Thumbs up!

The hotel is conveniently located about a 13-minute walk from the train station. There are also restaurants nearby, making dining easy. The cleanliness was quite good. Our first room had a bit of noise, so we paid a difference to switch to a second room. The second room had a slight smoky smell, which could be improved. The lake view was excellent. Overall, I was satisfied with the hotel's facilities and service.

NNadineisinshanghaiWe stayed for 3 days in this lovely hotel, the lady running the place was really nice and helped us organising trips in the Wuyuan area. From the terrace you have a great view of the village and can take great photos. The rooms are spacious and offer everything you need.
The lobby/ breakfast area has a lot of charme, since all the furniture is from another era and so the place just feels very original and homey. Even though on 2 of 3 days we were the only guests, we got a full buffet of delicious Chinese food for breakfast, including a good coffee.
The organised trips with Mister Yu were such a pleasure, he showed us the best spots in the area and was a really good driver.
GGuest UserThe Huazhu Wuyuan Yueyuan Wufei B&B is amazing! 👍 The renovation of the old house was meticulously done. A professional designer designed the courtyard, preserving its ancient charm while maintaining elegance and comfort. The rooms are cozy and inviting, ensuring a good night's sleep.
The meals are authentic Wuyuan cuisine, and the proprietress's cooking is exceptional, making the specialties incredibly delicious. Breakfast and lunch offer a complete selection of Wuyuan specialties (pocket carp, steamed pork with rice flour, steamed fish with rice flour, Qingming fruit, etc.). The dishes are made with all-natural ingredients, including cucumber, cowpea, green pepper, and river chicken. The whole family devours every meal!
You can also cycle along the rippling river, amidst the gently swaying blossoms. In the courtyard, you can play pot-to-pot together, creating a truly immersive experience.
The attentive service makes it feel like home! 🥰
The proprietress and her family run the B&B as if it were their own home. Every corner of the old house holds history, every visitor has a story, and every dish the proprietress prepares is filled with warmth.
It is better to come here by yourself after seeing and hearing it. Feel the inheritance of this history and the love for life.
GGuest UserThis is my second time staying at this hotel on this trip (two days away at Wangxiangu). The first time I had a bad experience. Because there are not many foreigners who stay at this hotel, they knew that the bad review was from me. The hotel manager personally came to apologize for the bad experience and offered me a small gift. It was very nice, but it will not affect my review. Every problem that I had last time was gone. The only thing that I thought was very strange is that I booked the same kind of room as last time, but for some reason this room did not have a desk in it. Finally, the front desk staff had a note in English and Chinese asking about my stay and making sure that I was happy. I suggest that it becomes a staff rule to ask all customers (both Chinese snd foreigners) about their stay to make sure that everyone is happy, and any problems, big or small, that do happen can be quickly fixed for the next people who stay.

GGuest UserLonghushan Chaoman Hotel is very family-friendly. The rooms are cozy, and the facilities are complete. Its proximity to the scenic area makes traveling with kids easy and comfortable. The front desk staff are warm and welcoming, and it offers great value for money. It's definitely the top choice for families or short trips.

XXiaojiahuo2012The location is fantastic! It's just a two-minute walk to the cable car entrance, which makes getting up the mountain incredibly convenient. The room was clean and spacious, and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I was particularly pleased with the easy and free parking; I could leave my car until after I came back down the mountain. Overall, it's excellent value for money.
LLeesa DaviesWe liked the nostalgic feel of the hotel. It makes you feel like you have gone back in time. The room is a little bit dated (shower screens need some attention), however it still had that touch of class. The front steps are a killer, however there is a lift to bring you up the level of the hotel, so we didn't have to worry about bringing our heavy suitcases up the many steps. There is a bus station almost out the front of the hotel to tour the mountains many scenic areas. It is not in the shopping area of Kuling Street, but it's an easy bus ride to visit this area. We liked that there are a few restaurants, cafes and convenience stores close to the hotel as well. We were not able to use our foreign credit card and as we could not use WeChat pay, we needed to find another way to pay for the room with assistance from family with a Chinese bank account. I think it was because it is not part of a large chain of hotels and is in a relatively remote area. But overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
VVictoria93We had a great stay here! All the personnel was nice and attentive, we were registered pretty easily. The hotel offers a pick up service , which is quite convenient.
We had a room with a skylight and a balcony, which was the best. In the morning and in the evening you can sit at the balcony and enjoy a nice view. The room is clean and the towels are changed every day. They serve Chinese style breakfast from 7 to 9, see the picture attached. Since we don't know much about local transportation, they gave us a ride to the local transportation hub where we could hop on a sightseeing bus. Once you get back from your trip in the evening, you can have a nice stroll from a busy Guling street area, it's down the hill and it takes you about 15 minutes to get back to the hotel. Overall, it was a pleasure to stay in this hotel, I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to have a real mountain view from their hotel room☺️
AAnonymous UserHad a very pleasant stay. The hotel's location is about a ten to fifteen-minute walk from the Jinsha cable car, which is pretty good. The lobby and restaurant are at the front, with several guest room buildings behind, connected by a corridor, making it convenient for dining or going out. The mountain view room offered fantastic scenery; even just lying in bed and watching the clouds was a treat. The restaurant's food and service were also excellent. What's even more commendable is the butler service. They contacted us in advance to find out our check-in time and helped us plan our itinerary. It was raining on the day we arrived, so we followed their advice to hike the next day and saw some incredibly beautiful scenery. However, mountain weather is unpredictable and each variation has its own charm, so it's best to just go with the flow. A wonderful Sanqingshan, wonderful memories. 🌹
LLiuThe hotel is located in a picturesque village—one of the most beautiful and peaceful we’ve ever visited. It features a lovely garden, and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I especially enjoyed chatting with the co-owner, Mrs. Wang, and was impressed by her life experience and business acumen. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay.
