Romantic Hotels in Penang, Malaysia

Although the hotel opened in 2014, the rooms' facilities and cleanliness are still very well-maintained. The shower has great water pressure, making for a very comfortable bathing experience. The pillows in the room were a bit uncomfortable for me – too high and too springy. The bed was large and the mattress was very comfortable. My room didn't come with bathrobes. It was quiet at night, and the air conditioning in the room was strong. Directly opposite the hotel is a large shopping mall, and a big supermarket is not far away. It's also within walking distance to various attractions. The infinity pool is excellent, with a good long lane for swimming. Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10 AM, and the food selection is substantial and fitting for a 4-star hotel, offering everything you'd expect.

The hotel is well located within Georgetown. You can either take a slow stroll and we are able to go to a few places around like penang street art, lew jetty etc. It is very close to him bus depot. The hotel provides shuttle service to few locations for local breakfast which is a different concept to other hotels which have hotel breakfast. It starts from 830am. I will prefer it can start at 8am instead. Room is clean and comfortable. There is choice to select pillow types too!

All rooms have bath tub even the cheapest option.. Breakfast was good.. But limited food option.. Tally with the price.. So no issue.. Comfortable bed and pillow.. Limited TV channel.. Pool at top floor.. Closed at 10pm so can go swim at night.. Some suggestion may include mirror near electric socket, difficult to use hair dryer without mirror nearby.. Overall the stay was great if u consider the price tag..

Exceptional spot near the edge of main Penang city with a view of both the city as well as the water front. This hotel delivered and exceeded expectations on many levels. Enjoyed walking to nearby food areas and restaurants that offer the best of local Malaysian food (recommend to try as much Laksa as possible) along with shopping spots ideal for ample gift gathering and souvenir hunting. The hotel itself deserves great credit for being spotless clean, hosting comfortable (and modern looking) rooms along with a relaxing courtyard and hangout spots on each floor where guests can sit between adventures and fill up their water bottles from the free of charge water filters. I also must say the color schemes used in the room and throughout the hotel contributed to the overall good vibes felt during the stay. A smaller but equally important amenity was the easy to use laundry room that allowed guests like me to reset their luggage conditions for the next adventures ahead. I enjoyed the glamour pool inside the hotel and also marveled at the views from all through the hotel windows. Staff was very friendly as well and hoped to validate parking (another added benefit). Would definitely come back here again.

We had a good stay at Flamingo Hotel by The Beach Penang. The hotel is very beautiful, and the room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was also good. All the staff were nice except for one person named mr Li. He was not friendly during check-in, and I happened to meet the same person again during check-out. He looked very bossy, double standard and unfriendly. I would recommend sending him for hospitality training, especially for front office service. Other than that, everything was good and we had a pleasant stay there….

Lots of great things to say here. After spending a good amount of time in the main city Penang, this hotel in Batu Feringghi was a well deserved and almost dream-like escape that provided my lovely companion and I not only a chance to reset but it gave us the most romantic beach experience in all of Malaysia. The hotel itself is nestled on a clifftop overlooking the wonderful and vibrant Malaysian beach and is walking distance not only to great restaurants and shops but also to many beach and water activities. I highly recommend having a dinner on the beach and watching the fire show before retreating back to the comfort of this hotel. The hotel campus is nicely laid out with a gleaming downstairs entrance area that made us feel like we were in comfortable luxury from the first moment there. Our views from the room were spectacular and the room itself was quiet and peaceful. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home and the on site amenities (spa and pool) were all above and beyond all our expectations. This was a perfect getaway trip and an excellent chance to see another side of beautiful Penang.

We stayed here for three nights, and this was actually our second time returning. The location is excellent, just right across from a local market (bustling in the mornings), where we enjoyed a wide variety of breakfast options every day. Despite that, the hotel itself is tucked away in a quiet lane, offering a peaceful and relaxing environment. It’s very convenient to get around, and we also appreciated that bicycles are available for rent. The complimentary coffee in the lobby was a nice touch too. Our room was very spacious, and we’re especially grateful to the front desk staff for upgrading us to a connecting room. As a family of four, the extra space made a huge difference, it was incredibly comfortable and perfect for us. Overall, we truly appreciate this wonderful stay. The hotel provided us with a cozy and restful experience, making our trip even more enjoyable.

The hotel is clean and the location is great. The staff are all incredibly friendly and there are cute cats around! They offer free bicycle rentals, which is super convenient for getting around Penang, though the roads can be a bit challenging to ride on, so be careful. There's a coffee shop downstairs and a bar upstairs, and you get a discount as a guest.

Thank you Mercure Beach Hotel for making my request come true and giving my child a birthday surprise this year. The hotel has a really beautiful sea view. The beach is well maintained even though it’s not that big. The room is clean and honestly, the pillows are the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. Even though it’s close to the main road, the room is well soundproofed. Only downside, the water pressure is a bit low. The soap & shampoo are Made in Italy and smell really nice. I was quite surprised with the breakfast menu, this is my first time seeing a hotel serve spaghetti, and I forgot the name of the beef dish (the one in the picture), but it was really good! The food was nicely seasoned, not too salty. There’s also quite a good variety of food and drinks. Definitely will repeat again one day 👍
