Romantic Hotels in Penang, Malaysia

Stayed here for four out of five days in Penang. Finally got a twin room with a beautiful city view – excellent value for money! The sink is quite deep, which was handy for a quick wash of intimates. There's a 7-Eleven about 500m across the street, and a small convenience store right opposite, making it super easy to grab water and other essentials.

Went with my mom. Took Cyan Room with breakfast. Location wise, very good. Very near to the photo spot, the George, the Crest Collection, Blue Mansion, Chulia Street, Love Lane, the Kimberley Market. Lots of food options around. The things I find a bit difficult are the room cleaning service timing. Because the first day, the person came even before the breakfast time (7pm - 10:30pm) is finished at 9:30am. Then we went out and came back around 2pm, then came again at 3:30pm, when they said the room cleaning starts after 4pm. So a bit difficult to predict and avoid the timing. Gave 2 water bottles everyday. But since room service only after 4pm, I requested the water bottle first, 2 days at counter got immediately after, but one day, called from the room, didn't come at all until 5pm when we went down to the counter to ask. Room cleanliness could be better. The bedsheets had a bit of stains but I didn't mind. Water pressure is a bit weak. The hair dryer even weaker. Otherwise, good location to stay, in the middle of Georgetown, accessible to every location easily.

Overall Experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ (4.5/5) Overall, I had a very pleasant stay at Citadines Tanjung Tokong. The check-in process at Level 2 was smooth and fast, with excellent service from all staff members. No deposit was required, which made the process even more convenient. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed and pillows were soft and provided a good night’s sleep. The room was well-equipped with two air-conditioning units (bedroom and kitchen area), Smart TV, ironing facilities, refrigerator, work desk, dining table and sufficient power outlets. The bathroom was spotless with strong water pressure and consistent hot and cold water temperature. Toiletries and towels were fully provided. Hotel facilities were great. The swimming pool on Level 15 offers a nice city and bay view. A gym, washing machines, vending machines and towels are also available. WiFi speed was fast and suitable for work purposes. Elevators were fast, clean and comfortable. Minor downsides include some noise from traffic and ambulance sirens, as well as a slightly slow automated parking system during peak hours. The location is very convenient with easy access to food and nearby stores such as 99 Speedmart, Lotus’s and Happy Mart. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money under RM500. Highly suitable for solo travellers, business trips and small families. Would definitely stay again. Writer by Me. Editor by ChatGPT.

By far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed, staff were fried my and with polite attitude, one of the staff made initiative to approach me when I’m having difficulty on using the laundry machine. Clean and chic, had a best experience of staying there. Nearby has the famous bakery, massage place and walking distance to food streets and nice cafe. A friendly heads up that the hotel entrance is facing towards the Eastern Oriental Hotel as opposed to Kenny Hills bakery.

Location is good, right in the centre & within walking distance to eateries & shopping. Close nearby there’s the Hin Depot, it’s like a weekend flea market. Hotel Service was great, the room that i booked was rather small, city view facing but sun was strong and day time, was abit hot as room window facing the sun. Going green is good, and water dispenser is provided on every floor for our refill. Can i suggest the bottles provided to have a wider opening as when refilling was rather difficult to avoid any spillage, especially taking the hot water Hotel deco is very festive.

Location : This location is very superb. The seaview was astonishing. Food stalls are everywhere nearby. Services : Arrived late night to check in. The receptionist is not that helpful and not explaining much. Got some issues with breakfast where my room suddenly not breakfast included while we paid together for it when booking. Try to explain to the Indian F&B manager but at first he refuse to trust me and ask me to go to lobby. Thanks to Mr Vincent he sincerely apologise for the misunderstanding from the system. To the Indian F&B manager, you need to learn to apologise sincerely from Mr Vincent and learn some manners as I heard you talk bad about other customers as well. Food : Not much choice but the food was good. Overall, will be coming back in the future and I wish the services will be a lot better. TQ

We were a bit nervous after reading the reviews online but we had a really excellent stay. The rooms were super clean and modern with a beautiful sea view and the bed was really comfortable. The rooms had a kettle with teas, a hairdryer and iron and the shower was lovely and hot. Great AC too. The pool was lovely with a beautiful view of the sea and very nice and peaceful. The location was also great with a huge food market right opposite. Overall a really lovely stay

Overall decent stay. Parking: standard condominium parking. For hotel guest on higher floor. Enjoy the merry go round session daily. Room: ours was good and acceptably clean. Breakfast: can skip if convenient to venture outside. Food not to my palate. The chef service, extremely bad for served cook items eg eggs. Check in/out: for us, rooms are only available after 3. Checking out was fast. Side note: for parking do watch out on the leak pipes. The stained mark (white patches) could not be removed with normal wash or polisher. 🙂↕️

Hotel was clean and service was very good. Room was large and comfortable . Swimming pool on eleven floor is a plus on hot days. Good view of the town and the sea from our room. Strategic location in the heart of Georgetown. Close to Komtar, First Avenue Mall and Pragin Mall. Short walk to Cecil Market and Chowrasta Market with many eateries nearby selling Penang local delicacies.

Stayed for three nights. The hotel is located by a beautiful beach. There's a skywalk on the LG level that leads directly to the beach, and the sunset views there are absolutely stunning. The facilities are excellent, with a great gym and swimming pool. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, though the taste was just average.
