First time in Dalian, and it was a fantastic experience. My flight was late, so I didn't arrive until almost midnight. The owner was incredibly patient, waited up for me, and even came to the lobby to meet me personally. He also upgraded my room type! The room was very spacious, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. The living room and bedroom were also separated. From the window, I had a direct view of Donggang and could overlook the city. A truly wonderful experience. Dalian is beautiful, the hotel is great, and the owner is very handsome!

Environment: The hotel is very close to the seaside. It is convenient to drive. The room is very clean and you can see the sea when you open the window. Service: The service is attentive and the lady at the front desk is particularly enthusiastic. The suite we stayed in was suitable for a family trip. The room was large and both the elderly and children were happy. The hotel breakfast is also good.

The room offered a sea view, which was lovely. Having a washing machine and a fridge was a huge plus, and all the appliances and furniture felt quite new and were in good working order. They even provided branded toiletries and a decent kettle, and the TV worked perfectly – truly impressive. The cleanliness was spot-on, and the space felt very generous, complete with a wardrobe, sofa, and even a kitchen. Downstairs, there were all sorts of shops, and it was close to the subway station, making it incredibly livable. Honestly, it felt more comfortable than some long-term rentals I've had in other cities. My few days of vacation truly felt like 'living.' I could sleep in until I naturally woke up, then go see the sea, visit attractions, fly kites, go mudlarking, and feed pigeons and seagulls. I even managed to wake up early one day to catch the sunrise and enjoyed the sunset in the evenings. At night, I'd stroll through the night market, find a spot to eat while listening to live music (it's great to find a seat!), and then head back to watch TV until I felt sleepy before drifting off. Each day was perfectly rounded and wonderful.

Our stay was perfect, from the visuals to the overall experience. But what truly impressed us the most was the incredibly thoughtful service, especially the front desk agent, Amanda, and the doorman/bellman at the entrance – they deserve special commendation! 🌟 Amanda from the front desk: Professional, gentle, and incredibly meticulous. During check-in, Amanda was all smiles, her attitude both warm and professional, making us feel welcome the moment we walked in. She was patient and efficient, proactively verifying our information and quickly processing the check-in. She meticulously explained our room benefits, hotel facilities (pool, gym, breakfast times), and even offered suggestions for nearby attractions. Her explanations were clear and very considerate. Thoughtful and thorough: After learning about our needs, she proactively helped us upgrade our room, which showed incredible attention to detail. Gentle and patient: Throughout our interaction, her tone was gentle, and she answered all our questions without any hint of perfunctoriness. Her professionalism and approachability were top-notch, making our check-in feel like a special ceremony. 🌟 Doorman/Bellman: Enthusiastic, proactive, and reliable. The doorman/bellman service at the entrance was equally impeccable. From the moment we arrived, we felt a sense of luxury and warmth. Proactive and enthusiastic: As soon as our car pulled up, he immediately came forward with a smile, opened the car door, and helped us with our luggage. He was swift and meticulous, handling everything with care. Humble and polite: He maintained a warm and courteous demeanor throughout, proactively assisting with our spontaneous requests without any hint of neglect. His service awareness was exceptional. Highly recommended!!!

Our stay here was incredibly comfortable, and overall, we were extremely satisfied with everything. The hotel's cleanliness was impeccable. Our room was spotless and tidy, with a bathtub liner and toilet seat cover provided. The housekeeping staff cleaned our room promptly every day and thoughtfully restocked all toiletries and consumables, showing great attention to detail. The room itself was spacious and well-equipped, making for a very comfortable stay. The hotel's overall environment was elegant and beautiful, with scenic views everywhere you looked, perfect for photos. On a sunny day, the sea-view room offered fantastic photo opportunities, and the rooftop terrace was an excellent spot for sightseeing and pictures. Even the lobby and restaurant decor were exquisitely tasteful. Friends who love photography will absolutely adore this place. What truly stood out was the warm and attentive service. The front desk staff were thoughtful and thorough; they not only proactively reminded us about afternoon tea times, helped with our luggage, and kindly informed us about the weather, but also suggested we use the shawls and blankets in the lobby to ward off the cool breeze. They also enthusiastically recommended local restaurants that served authentic and delicious food at great value. The most touching moment was when we accidentally left an item behind after checking out. The hotel actually contacted us and arranged to mail it back, demonstrating incredible meticulousness and sincerity. Overall, our experience was perfect. The environment, cleanliness, and service were all faultless. It's definitely a place we'd love to return to.

The hotel is located near Xinghai Park, adjacent to the Dayi Second Hospital Station of Metro Line 1. It is very convenient to go anywhere, especially to Xinghai Park. The size of the hotel room is the same as the description. The space is large. You can see the sea and the cross-sea bridge from the side of the balcony window. At night, you can also see the flashing lights of the Ferris wheel of Xinghai Park (pictured). The waiter will ask about the cleaning time every day. The room is clean and tidy. The price is very high. It is highly recommended!

This newly opened hotel boasts excellent cleanliness and facilities. Its location is superb, right in front of the sea-spanning bridge, and there's a large, free public parking area nearby. While parking can be a bit challenging during peak mealtimes due to the abundance of restaurants in the vicinity, it's very convenient for travelers returning late, as there are plenty of spots available at the hotel. The hotel's breakfast is also great, and most importantly, it tastes delicious!

Before my trip to Dalian, I spent days looking at hotels and B&Bs, worried about cleanliness and being too far from attractions. After three days of searching, and because my child loves loft-style rooms, I finally picked this place. It was such a pleasant surprise! The elevator on the first floor was very convenient. The owner specifically gave us a sea-view room where we could watch the sunrise, and it was also close to the elevator, which was great for the kids and elderly. The room was clean and tidy, and the amenities were very comprehensive. Downstairs is Donggang and Venice, and it's easy to get to Xinghai Square and the Oceanarium by subway or a 20-something RMB taxi ride. There's even parking downstairs. It was a truly enjoyable trip, highly recommend!

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, nestled right between Zhongshan Square and Youhao Square. It's only a few hundred meters from two metro stations, and Line 2 offers convenient access to both the airport and the high-speed rail station. You can easily walk to Russian Street and Tianjin Street. From the upper floors, you get a great view of Zhongshan Square, and on a clear day, you can even see Donggang. A big shout-out to the doorman – even when it was raining and windy in Dalian, he was out there in his short-sleeved uniform, still offering excellent service without a hint of reluctance. Another thumbs up to Amy Cai, the lounge supervisor, for her warmth, dedication, and professionalism! 👍 However, as an older five-star hotel, you can sense both the stubbornness and the compromises that come with age in several areas. Breakfast is served in the café on the 6th floor, which feels quite cramped, especially during peak hours when it can get incredibly crowded. The door from the gym reception to the actual fitness area left quite an impression; if it weren't for the staff repeatedly gesturing for me to push it open, I would have thought I’d gone to the wrong place. While the gym has a good variety of equipment, it's packed in very tightly, and the overall quality is a bit lower compared to other InterContinental hotels. Nevertheless, these minor flaws don't detract from the overall experience. All things considered, it offers great value for money, and if you're looking to stay in Dalian's old town, I'd highly recommend this InterContinental.
