3-Star Hotels in Nineveh, Iraq

It was a delight to find Mosul recovering so well after the terrible ISIS experience. New roads, buildings being repaired or rebuilt, good quality new businesses even in damaged buildings, lovely juice shop, lovely restaurant. And a lovely hotel. Very safe to walk the streets (only the usual traffic hazards you expect in Iraq!). And the beautifully restored Al Tahera church where I enjoyed the Liturgy on Sunday morning. The sad part therefore was to hear Christians say that social tensions and discrimination exist making their long-term future questionable.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly kind. From upgrading my room to negotiating taxi fares with the driver when I went out, and stocking the refrigerator with plenty of water, everything was wonderful. Check-in and check-out were also smooth. The room was spacious, the air conditioning was new, and the bed was comfortable.
