The hostel is very good! There are lots of restaurants nearby and the bus station to reach the sights of the city is also close. The host is very very friendly and gave us some recommendations for transport and food. He even gave us some melon and another fruit to eat while checking in and after we woke up. We could leave our bags in a locked room after check-out while still exploring the city.

This little inn is conveniently located right by the Great Wall. The owner of the hotel Mr Zhang is a friendly guy and gave us a lift twice and lots of helpful information. The price fluctuates depending on popularity so it was slightly higher for the night we stayed in but the customer service was excellent and worth the money. The only issue I had was that people were lighting fireworks rightoutside on the pavement and it wasn't the most safest of routes to walk back to the hotel hut it wasn't something the hotel could control. For food there is a nice family-run halal restaurant practically next door and a small grocery shop selling soft drinks and bare necessities. 很热心的老板。

The courtyard house of the palace is really amazing! The appearance is simple and elegant, the ”Fucheng Siheyuan” plaque is eye-catching, the Zhuhong column and the gray and white wall are full of traditional charm. The garden in the courtyard is elegant, the green plants and flowers are full of vitality, the wooden swing is fun, and the children have a great time. The rooms are traditional and modern, the yurt is uniquely shaped, and the internal facilities are complete and comfortable. The breakfast is rich and delicious, the beef soup is mellow, the tomato scrambled eggs are refreshing, and there are various dishes to satisfy the taste buds. The service is warm and thoughtful, from check-in to check-out, caring. The overall experience is superb, enjoying the ancient charm and comfort, I recommend everyone to come here to feel a different style! The homestay is clean and hygienic, and the boss is warm and welcoming. It is a good place to travel and rest.

The room was in good condition and the bathroom was big, but the location was too remote. Although it was near Mingsha Mountain, you had to walk a kilometer with your suitcase on a small dirt road, which was very difficult. Fortunately, when you really couldn't walk anymore halfway, the boss said he could pick you up, but it was still inconvenient to travel. Dunhuang is a city with a nightlife, and it was not very comfortable to walk a kilometer on a dirt road at 12 o'clock in the evening. Moreover, the boss's pick-up service only goes to Mingsha Mountain, and it does not take you any further.

The room was very clean. You can park in the basement right in front of the unit door, but you have to pay for parking separately. The basement of the community is connected, and you can go out from other exits to the new community next door to walk the dog, and then return the same way after the walk (the property management of the next door community uses access control). I drove all the way and lived in so many shops. This is the only homestay that left breakfast for guests to wake up. The end time of breakfast meal is the end time of the last guest to wake up and eat. There is a small yard behind the guest room, the stone paved road, the book on the left hand side, the dining area on the right, the boss will keep the breakfast heated when he gets up late, it is really warm. The boss also raised two dogs. When we went, we were afraid that the dog would fight and closed it. Dogs are not allowed in the yard, but the dog walk area outside the yard is very large. If you don't enter the wetland park, the boss also specifically asked which areas can't be afraid of taking medicine. Our puppy is also very good. When I stayed at the homestay, I was wearing urine and sleeping on my own mat. The boss also prepared bowls and meal mats for the dog, because we didn't want the bowl because we brought it ourselves. Because I went to the colorful Danxia the next day, I rushed to the next stop and didn't stop much. Be sure to remember to order mosquito repellent at night, the mosquitoes in the wetland park are terrible. Next time I have a chance to come again, I will set a larger room, the big bed room is still a bit cramped, the bathroom is not dry and wet, a bit small.
