I originally booked this hotel in Yantai just for a layover before taking a ferry, and I never expected it to be so fantastic! The first reaction from my four friends when we entered the room was, ”Wow, this is so luxurious, like a presidential suite!” There was even a game console in the room, making it perfect for families with kids. This hotel truly exceeded my expectations. The cleanliness was impeccable, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. The front desk staff, both the young lady and the older woman, had excellent service attitudes. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Yantai.

Essentially an apartment, but with hotel-style management and excellent service. The cleanliness was a pleasant surprise; I hardly found any dirty spots, and the linens were spotless. The view is absolutely stunning, with three floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room, bedroom, and bathroom all facing the ocean directly. The room's facilities are a bit dated, though, and there's no smart home control system. The decor feels like it's from a decade ago.

The room was absolutely beautiful; I didn't even want to leave it! Who else understands the joy of just gazing at the sea all day? Haha. The owner kindly upgraded our room for free, and the facilities were great, and everything was clean. The beach is right outside, and it's super close to Torch Eight Street. We definitely extended our stay!

The hotel staff, especially the ladies at the front desk, were incredibly helpful and assisted me with all my requests. The hotel is right by the sea, which was perfect for evening strolls – highly recommended for ocean lovers! The Korean food and Malatang on the weekend were also delicious. I was lucky enough to experience snow in Weihai, and it was so convenient to head back to the hotel after taking photos. The room was super clean and comfortable! And the price in winter was really affordable! I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Weihai!

I always worry about being cold when staying in a hotel in winter, so I specifically looked for one with floor heating, and it was really warm. The room was also quite spacious. Highly recommended! There were no strange smells in the room, and the decor was simple and stylish, exactly the kind of hotel vibe I prefer.

The Yantai Shimao Marriott Hotel itself is a beautiful sight, with its impressive seashell-shaped building that perfectly complements the ocean. Inside, marine elements are everywhere, and the lobby boasts huge sea-view windows that offer panoramic ocean vistas. The outdoor garden and lawn are meticulously maintained and lead directly to the beach, making for incredibly pleasant strolls with the sea breeze. Whether you're photographing the hotel's exterior, the sea-view balcony, or the garden and beach, every shot is picture-perfect – it's high on aesthetics and has a great environment. It's also very convenient for families with children, as there were even craft activities during the Qingming Festival. Mango at the front desk helped us switch rooms to be together, which was very helpful. The room had a balcony, which was lovely, and Mango's service was very attentive.

The room was unexpectedly clean. I was a bit worried it might be cold when I booked, but it was surprisingly warm, with its own heating system. The sofa was very cozy, and the decor was quite artistic. The owner was incredibly kind; we had a minor issue, and they resolved it very promptly, which was a huge relief! The all-glass exterior offered fantastic views, and it was so pleasant. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking, and you could even capture beautiful night views right from the room. This hotel is definitely a great choice for travel.

The doorman Xiao Gao took the initiative to accompany the luggage to the room. The front desk smiled and had a very good service attitude. Seeing that there were children with children, they helped to apply for an extra breakfast, and took the initiative to send a set of toiletries and slippers 🩴. In the evening, they also sent an extra quilt. Fruits, water, and yogurt were constantly delivered. When I left, they also sent a special one for the road. The breakfast is very rich and delicious. Although there are many guests, the breakfast is updated quickly, and the guests are also sent to wait for meals. In short, although it is an old hotel with some old facilities and some parts are not very easy to use, it wins in service and has a good location. Basically, you can go shopping (Zhenhua, Joy City, Wanda are all nearby) and go to the main street attractions by walking. It takes 10 to 20 minutes to take a taxi for a slightly farther distance. There is a bus at the door 🚌, which is very convenient. Liu Yunxia, Xiao Du, Xiao Zhang, the service is very good👍

GGuest UserOverall, my stay was fantastic. Aris Zhao at the front desk was exceptionally good – warm, patient, and always willing to help. Their service was professional and thoughtful, making for a perfect experience. The breakfast restaurant staff were incredibly attentive, and my child absolutely loved it. We came to Qingdao for my baby's birthday, and the front desk even gave a small gift, which was a very sweet touch. The hotel rooms were spacious and clean, and the housekeeping and service staff were like an invisible, comforting presence. The location is very convenient, and since we drove, parking was a breeze. It was a perfect trip, and if I get the chance to visit Qingdao again, I'll definitely choose the Westin Qingdao.

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of amazing. Tucked away in a peaceful and quiet area, it was the perfect escape from the usual hustle and bustle of everyday life. The surroundings were simply breathtaking — the views alone made the trip unforgettable!
The room and amenities were impeccably maintained, offering both comfort and convenience. Dining was a highlight — both the Japanese restaurant and the buffet served absolutely exquisite meals that we’re still talking about.
What truly made our stay special, though, was the incredible hospitality. A heartfelt thank you to Nancy, Kitty, and Aria for going above and beyond to make our experience the best ever. You made us feel truly welcome and cared for.
My family and I are already planning our return — this time for a longer stay, and we hope to try out the water sports as well. Can’t recommend this place enough!

GGuest UserWe brought our kids to Qingdao and stayed at the Crowne Plaza. Amy at the front desk kindly upgraded us to a suite. The room was very cozy and spacious, and spotlessly clean, especially the bathroom – no strange smells or limescale whatsoever. Even though it was renovated in 2018, the standards are still consistently high. Our kids said they want to stay here again next time!

Wwurui0831Everything about the room service was great, but there was a telescope in the executive lounge next to a metal sculpture. The metal sculpture was very sharp, and my wife's forehead got red when she was looking through the telescope with our child and accidentally bumped into it. If she had pushed a bit harder, it could have easily broken the skin. It would be even more dangerous if a child directly hit it. The hotel's safety management clearly has flaws. Additionally, the facilities in the kids' play area pose safety risks; screws on the toy cars are exposed, and there's a hanging squid decoration with a sharp, low-hanging end on the ceiling. I hope the hotel addresses these issues.

The room we booked was a delightful surprise. The balcony offers a direct view of Aoshan Bay, and watching the sunrise in the morning was absolutely stunning! It's just a hundred meters walk to the Ocean Bromide Salt Hot Springs, so you can enjoy both a relaxing soak and ocean views. The kids' water park kept my child entertained to no end.
The window seats really set a wonderful ambiance. The front desk staff were enthusiastic and even proactively upgraded our room. The service was attentive to every detail. This is definitely our top choice for a family vacation, and we'll be back next time!

From the moment I checked in, efficiency was evident – the front desk staff were incredibly quick and capable. The cleanliness was a godsend for anyone particular about hygiene: all towels and slippers were individually wrapped and sterilized. That's genuinely rare for a hotel in this category, making me feel completely at ease. Although the room wasn't huge, the layout was practical. The desk was spacious enough, and there were plenty of charging ports, which was very convenient for working on documents in the evening.
