Beach Hotels in Shandong, China

This is an absolute gem among all the hotels I've stayed in over 15 years of traveling across 40 countries. The design of the rooms, corridors, and common areas is stunning and truly unique. There’s an arcade machine in the room with Nintendo games from my childhood… It feels like the hotel owner's personal signature style - and it's the most amazing highlight of this place! A special afternoon tea with fantastic cookies is a wonderful service. Breakfast is usually a buffet, as far as I understand, but on the day of my stay, there was no buffet, and breakfast was served individually for each guest. Still, it was very good and filling. The location is excellent - right next to the bus station. That means you can check in immediately after arriving from the airport by airport bus, or leave your luggage if you arrive early. Getting anywhere in the city is also easy, quick and cheap by local buses. The room was very comfortable: quiet and very warm (I stayed during the cold season), exceptionally clean, with a great bathroom, and everything was in perfect condition. The bed was very comfortable with amazingly soft pillows worthy of a high-end hotel - and they even provide several pillows with different levels of softness! The staff's attitude toward guests is excellent: I'm a light sleeper, and quietness is important to me, but in Asia this is often a problem even in expensive hotels. So when booking, I requested a quiet room on a high floor and away from the elevator - and my wishes were fulfilled perfectly. And for all of this, the price is simply incredible. This hotel is worth traveling to Yantai just to stay here! Overall, it's a masterpiece. The only places I've seen that are better are classic five-star hotels, but even they don't have such outstanding interior design and arcade machines. 😊 And if you were born in the 1980s, you absolutely have to stay at this hotel to play the games of your childhood on a real arcade machine right in your room. 😊

Beautiful ocean view and lovely room, I really enjoyed my few days of sunsets and mornings here! Not the cleanest room or newest building, but everything works and it's amazing for the price. The smart home voice feature for lights and curtains was so useful. Deposit required at check-in. The staff is very responsive and helpful, after notifying them about a broken screen in the room they already dispatched people to help fix it within minutes. I had zero issues with takeout being delivered to the room which made breakfast and meals easy. I came to Weihai for the snowy beach but the weather was disappointingly good lol. However it was a relaxing staycation because of this homestay and I'm so glad I decided to choose this place in the end!!

Haitian Hotel is definitely the top choice for a trip to Qingdao! 1️⃣The hotel breakfast is a must-have! A must-have! There's such a wide variety, you won't eat the same thing for five days! The vegetable salad is excellent quality! 2️⃣The location is superb, you can feed seagulls right outside the door, no need to squeeze with crowds at Zhanqiao Pier! It's a five-minute walk to the Third Bathing Beach, an excellent spot to watch the light show! 3️⃣Although the hotel has been around for a while, the facilities are very new, and the front desk staff are particularly nice! Serena not only helped us upgrade to an executive floor but also thoughtfully provided fruits, drinks, and toiletries for the child! Many thanks!!! The housekeeping staff also clean very thoroughly! 🍱I was a bit hesitant when booking due to the hotel's age, but after staying for five days for both a conference and travel, I am extremely satisfied! Next time I come to Qingdao, Haitian will definitely be my top choice!

The hotel staff, especially the ladies at the front desk, were incredibly helpful and assisted me with all my requests. The hotel is right by the sea, which was perfect for evening strolls – highly recommended for ocean lovers! The Korean food and Malatang on the weekend were also delicious. I was lucky enough to experience snow in Weihai, and it was so convenient to head back to the hotel after taking photos. The room was super clean and comfortable! And the price in winter was really affordable! I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Weihai!

Quick check-in. Fantastic price. Room is clane. Bed is a little bit hard, but it's fine. Location is perfect if you want to visit Shandong University. Convenient place to stay. Will definitely stay again. No breakfast - but with the rate is nothing to care about.

Had a fantastic stay! Xiao Ning at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. She made sure the bed rail I requested in advance was already set up. When she heard we were a family traveling, she even helped us get rooms on the same floor. During the New Year, she also gave the kids little horse toys. The hotel is right by Shilaoren Beach, which was super convenient for taking the kids to play and dig in the sand. We had a great time with the kids in Qingdao, and we'll definitely be back!

The Mario Yantai is possibly the best value hotel I’ve ever stayed in my life. My entire experience from start to finish was incredibly comfortable and luxurious as a result of the great work of the team at the Marriott. Molly and early on the front desk were incredibly kind, smiling as they helped me generously through a range of requests that I had during my stay. My room itself was incredible. They upgraded me from a deluxe King room with balcony to a Junior/Executive suite. The views were truly beautiful, the room incredibly spacious and the bed was the comfiest I’ve stayed in during my two months travel in East Asia. And all of that for incredible value! You absolutely must stay here if visiting Yantai.

It's really great to be able to bring a dog. The service is very good. The girl at the front desk is also very enthusiastic. The boss's thinking is very advanced. As a traveler with a pet, we have always adhered to the principle of not causing trouble to the store. We live seriously. Thank you for the boss's kindness. I hope the business will get better and better. I will come again. The room is very large and the pillow is very comfortable. I bought one to take home. It was a very happy trip

The room was clean and the projector worked great, even with a VIP movie selection. The location is fantastic, right in the Badaguan scenic area, and you can see the sea as soon as you step outside. The owner was super helpful and responsive to any issues. Highly recommend a stay here!

Qingdao on my last day gave me Golden Beach and this hotel. I came here for the beer, and my stay was very good. The front desk lady was enthusiastic and helpful with her explanations, which was great. However, there are two downsides. First, I felt the bed sheets were a bit dirty. The other drawback was really frustrating: I had to catch an early high-speed train, so I checked out a little after 7 AM. The check-in process was so warm, but check-out was just as cold. I asked the front desk for two bottles of water in the morning, and guess what she said? ”We don't have any water right now!” Okay, then. Goodbye.
