Regarding the facilities, I need to pay by my own self for the car parking service. They are charging RM 24 per day and I am staying for 4 days 3 nights. Do you think how much I need to pay for the car parking which they never stated that visitors or customers need to paying by ourselves. I hope that in the future, please stated very clearly that we need to paying by ourselves without inform us.

Ayza DansAn absolutely wonderful stay! The room was spotless, comfortable, and the service from the entire team was top-notch. What made our stay extra special was the sweet surprise—a complimentary cake from the hotel for our wedding anniversary! It was such a thoughtful touch that truly made our celebration memorable. Thank you so much for the amazing hospitality. We’ll definitely be back! ❤️✨
Giving it an 8/10—a bit noisy due to construction in progress

The hotel is located right by the sea with direct access to the beach, offering a fantastic environment. It's very clean, and the rooms are comfortable. The king-size bed is huge, probably over 2 meters, easily accommodating our family of three without feeling cramped. Breakfast gets extremely busy, especially during peak times, and you might have to queue. However, the selection is extensive. The hotel also offers a buffet dinner for 198 MYR per person, with two adults getting one child free, available on Friday and Saturday evenings. While the variety isn't huge, all the essentials are there. There are restaurants on both sides of the hotel beach, all featuring fire shows. It's lively outside the hotel, but the rooms themselves are very quiet. The large balcony is lovely, perfect for enjoying a cup of tea. The hotel is quite far from both the airport and the town center, about an hour to the airport and 50 minutes to town. Taxis are readily available though.

Guest UserI spent three days at Rasa Sayang and had a perfect vacation. I booked a Garden Wing seaview room, and the view was fantastic, directly facing the pool and the sea. The nearest elevator from the room went straight down to the pool. Every day after breakfast, I enjoyed the blue sky and white clouds by the pool, shaded by ancient trees. Rasa Sayang has a quiet and pleasant atmosphere with beautiful scenery and a great ecosystem; I even saw cute monkeys and lizards.
You can walk along the beach to the neighboring Golden Sands Resort, which has children's play facilities. Although not very large, the kids had a blast. The only minor downside is that the beach shown in the pictures no longer exists, having been eroded by the sea. However, if you walk further down, you can reach Batu Ferringhi Beach, which has a long stretch of fine sand. There are many restaurants along the beach, and in the evening, there's a fire show, and I witnessed a beautiful sunset and twilight.
The hotel offers two shuttle services daily to George Town, making it very convenient to explore the town and savor local delicacies. During my stay, I visited Entopia Butterfly Farm, which is not far from Escape Theme Park and the durian orchards.
I must particularly mention that all the resort staff were very friendly. One time, after swimming, as I was heading back to my room, a staff member passed by and pressed the elevator button for me even before I reached it, showing great service awareness.
I made wonderful memories at Rasa Sayang. After visiting the Pinang Peranakan Mansion and watching a musical, I discovered that the hotel's name, Rasa Sayang, comes from a famous Malaysian folk song, which is very interesting. I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

ShizidoukeyiThe room size was just right, and the twin beds could be combined into a super-king-sized bed, perfect for families with children. The power outlets were very compatible with domestic plugs, which was incredibly convenient as no extra adaptors were needed. While the room facilities and bathroom definitely showed their age, they were still well-maintained. The room also had a refrigerator, which is essential for the Southeast Asian climate. The hotel service was good, but most staff members didn't actively greet guests. This was a noticeable difference compared to the first hotel we stayed at in George Town, where all staff members were proactively friendly and more welcoming than at the Shangri-La. The highlight of this hotel is definitely the swimming pool, which is like a small water park – my child absolutely loved it! There's also a huge beach area with plenty of loungers, perfect for a relaxing time. The hotel breakfast was very extensive, and the breakfast hours were long, from 7 AM to 11 AM, which was excellent and allowed for ample time. Overall, the Shangri-La hotel is fantastic and a top choice for a relaxing getaway.

Guest Userthe location and hotel are great. the private beach is amazing. the facilities are as people said, quite dated. the aircon is noisy at night, and they charge you extra for another towel, and also make you go down to reception to get it. however, i am willing to overlook these for the amazing view. the side view is honestly good enough, especially during the day with the green.

love holidayWe stayed at this hotel for 3 days. The check-in process was smooth and fast, which gave us a good first impression.
The breakfast staff were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our stay. The food was decent, but it did not meet the standard I would expect from a 5-star hotel.
I had requested a simple birthday celebration for my husband before our arrival and even reminded the hotel twice during our stay. Unfortunately, nothing was arranged, which was disappointing and made the special occasion feel overlooked.
The room also needed better housekeeping, as cleanliness was below expectations for a hotel of this category.
Overall, while the staff at breakfast were outstanding and check-in was efficient, the lack of attention to our special request and the room cleanliness left room for improvement.

BingTaoI had an excellent stay at G Hotel Gurney in the Executive Suite. The suite was spacious, modern, and beautifully maintained, with a comfortable bed and a great view. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Penang.
The hotel’s location is fantastic, right next to Gurney Plaza and within walking distance of many popular eateries. The staff were professional, friendly, and always willing to assist, making the entire stay even more enjoyable.
The Executive Lounge was a great addition, offering a quiet and comfortable space to unwind with complimentary refreshments. Breakfast was also excellent, with a wide selection of local and international dishes.
Overall, everything from the room quality to the service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely choose G Hotel Gurney again on my next visit to Penang and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay.

ShizidoukeyiThe location is great, with convenient transportation. I only saw one convenience store nearby. The hotel's sea-view rooms are excellent, facing the ocean and the beach. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a fantastic view. It's also very close to the famous Dongcheng food stalls, making dining very convenient. The swimming pool is a bit small, but sufficient. Lying on the beach is also very comfortable. The room size is moderate, and it has all the necessary amenities, though some of the equipment is showing its age, such as damaged power outlets and a broken shower hose. A major issue is the lack of Chinese-speaking staff, which is something to be aware of. The efficiency of the front desk needs improvement, and the front desk and most of the service staff lack any warmth, appearing very cold and never greeting guests proactively. This Mercure hotel seems to discriminate against Chinese guests, so please be aware. The hotel breakfast has limited variety and average taste. Housekeeping is a standout – they clean the rooms very diligently and thoroughly, keeping them very tidy. This deserves praise. Remember that smoking is not allowed inside the hotel; smoking is permitted only in designated areas outside.
