Front desk was very inefficient and quite disappointing, but the Floor Manager and the very helpful bellboy made up for it. Seems like front desk was totally untrained and took almost up to 1 hr just to process the check in itself and the group of us booked five rooms and only three rooms were ready by 3pm and the other rooms were only ready near 5pm, which is another 1.5-2 hours. We understand that China government required every occupants passport and visa entry to be photocopied but it is quite absurd to take such a long time for check in processing. Moreeover , we extended another night and communicated twice with front desk and have placed extra deposit requested ,and was requested to come to front desk the next day to swipe the card again. However , when some of us came down to front desk to swipe the room cards on next day , they were asked to place additional deposit again which resulting for total of RMB5000 for first night , additional RMB4500 for second night plus additional RMB2000 asked by reception again for rooms deposit , which was quite ridiculous. The rooms was also quite old and the only things drawing us to book the hotel was only it's central location which makes it convenient to travel to almost all the attractions on Line 1 via metro , and very short taxi distance to everywhere. There is also no kids club or any kids area , and the pool was closed during our stay. Kids amenities were provided in the room. Quite disappointing in terms of overall experience.

This was the worst InterContinental I've ever stayed at. The only redeeming qualities were the decent breakfast and the polite and courteous staff. Facilities: Although the hotel had AC controls, they were just for show and couldn't be adjusted. I woke up freezing in the middle of the night and had to call the front desk, who promptly sent an extra blanket. Unfortunately, I've already caught a cold. The decor is quite outdated, and the toiletries provided were less than what I've come to expect from other InterContinental hotels.

The location is fantastic, right by Yuandang Lake, making it incredibly convenient to get around. The front desk even upgraded me to a room on the 7th floor with a great view. Honestly, I wasn't originally planning on staying here because I was worried that, being an older hotel, the facilities might be outdated and uncomfortable. But my friends in Xiamen strongly recommended it. The room was clean and tidy, although the bathroom was a bit old-fashioned with a bathtub. However, it had a rain shower head with good water pressure. The toilet also showed its age, but for a hotel in this price range, it really exceeded my expectations. The biggest surprise was the Napoleon pastry at their cafe. It was crispy, nutty, not too sweet, and not greasy. I actually think it's better than the one at Lady M in Shanghai. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Xiamen.

Visiting Fuzhou to see a friend, they recommended the Lakeside Hotel by Fuzhou's West Lake. I'd stayed here once before, but my memory was a bit hazy. This time, checking in, I had a strange sense of familiarity... What I love most is the peaceful environment despite being in the heart of the city. The hotel provides ample parking, which is incredibly convenient for me as a self-driver. I also adore the beautiful West Lake views that greet you as soon as you open the curtains, and even more so, the relaxation of soaking in the large bathtub and the leisurely strolls along the lakeside path.

Hilton Fuzhou Sanfang Qixiang boasts an excellent location right by the Min River. After dinner, a stroll along the riverside is incredibly pleasant! The hotel staff are friendly and provide great service, responding quickly to any requests. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options, the environment is lovely, and you get a beautiful view outside the dining room window! The rooms are spacious, the bedding is comfortable, and I had a fantastic rest!

This is my 'N'th stay at this hotel, and every time it feels just like coming home – so comfortable! They're always ready to help during your stay. The lobby is beautiful and chic, the rooms are clean, and the facilities are complete. The bedding is soft, and the toiletries are all premium brands; every detail is well thought out. Whether it's for a business trip or a vacation, this is always my top choice. It's truly a godsend for business travelers. Highly recommend!

Facilities: This is a 10-year-old brand, and the facilities and equipment are very well maintained. Cleanliness: The room was clean and tidy. The hotel has its own laundry room, so we felt very comfortable using the bedding and towels. Environment: The hotel's outdoor garden in winter is bathed in sunshine, making it very pleasant for an afternoon tea. Service: The staff were warm and helpful. Special thanks to Bill for upgrading us to a garden view room. The hotel staff's attitude was excellent. This is definitely one of the top hotel choices in Fuzhou. We were lucky enough to catch the hotel's Christmas tree lighting ceremony during our stay, which added greatly to the festive atmosphere.

This isn't my first stay here; whether for business or personal trips to Xiamen, I almost always choose the Kempinski. The location is convenient, both within the city and for getting around. What I find best is how incredibly smooth the check-in process is at the front desk – there's practically never any waiting. For both travel and business trips, a seamless check-in right after arriving at the airport is the perfect start to a great experience. Beyond the silky-smooth check-in, let's talk about the stay itself. The hotel offers both firm and soft beds, catering to more guests, which I appreciate. The pool is fantastic; if you want to get a proper swim in, it fully delivers. The breakfast, facilities, and everything else truly meet the hotel's positioning. I believe everyone has certain expectations for different hotel standards when booking, so I won't belabor the point (the same goes for breakfast). Essentially, anything you'd expect, they have, and it's all complete. Finally, a word about the staff: friendly, appropriate, and prompt. I think these points alone are reason enough to choose this place. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, the view from the window is also satisfying! ✌️

The shangri-la putian is conveniently located opposite a huge shopping mall and beside a garden. The room was nice and cosy and the service was attentive and impeccable, with Melvin (?) accompanying us to the room and constantly asked if we needed help with anything. All the staff were friendly and helpful and gave us many suggestions on where we could go during our stay and rarely have we experienced such excellent level of hospitality when staying at similar hotels. The river view we had was amazing. Food at shang garden was tasty, and Lydia's service was excellent, offering us extra snacks and soup. The portions served were huge and reasonably priced. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Putian! 莆田香格里拉酒店地理位置优越，对面就是大型购物中心，旁边就是花园。房间舒适温馨，服务周到细致，一位名叫（Melvin）的服务员亲自送我们到房间，在大堂碰到我们时会问我们是否需要任何帮助。所有员工都非常友好热情，为我们提供了很多游玩建议。入住类似酒店，我们很少体验到如此卓越的服务。房间的河景令人惊艳。香园餐厅的菜肴美味可口，服务员（Lydia）的服务也无可挑剔，还主动为我们提供了额外的点心和汤。菜量十足，价格也十分合理。强烈推荐给所有来莆田的游客！!

This is my second time in Quanzhou. I saw this hotel when I visited Xunpu Fishing Village and it left a great impression, so I decided to stay here. Oh my goodness, it was amazing! I booked a city view room, but because it was off-season, they upgraded me to a deluxe river view. The view truly blew me away! The room was incredibly spacious, and the bathtub had two floor-to-ceiling windows, offering fantastic views of both the bridge and the Ferris wheel – absolutely stunning. This hotel with its beautiful scenery is a must-stay when you come to Quanzhou. The deluxe river view king room offered expansive views and top-notch facilities. The mattress provided good support but was a little firm, and the bathroom was spacious and comfortable. The JInjiang River scenery outside the window was serene, and the service was professional and efficient. Overall, the experience was precise and solid, meeting brand standards, though it slightly lacked a surprising warmth or unique memorable touch.
