First off, the hotel is incredibly close to the scenic area, less than 1 kilometer in a straight line, making it super convenient whether you're walking or driving. As for the hotel itself, we traveled with our child, and this place is absolutely perfect for families. There's a huge outdoor lawn with a non-motorized playground and a sandpit. Next to it, there's a row of small cabins housing animals like alpacas and deer, which are fantastic for kids to enjoy. I also really liked the hotel's design – it's upscale and elegant. The front desk was efficient during check-in and even assigned us a room on the top floor facing the lawn, offering a truly excellent view!

The location is excellent, in the heart of the city; there are plenty of parking spaces, so driving is worry-free; the breakfast has a rich variety; I was worried that the equipment and facilities would be old, but the actual experience shows that the hotel has spent some effort on maintenance, and it is clean and comfortable; finally, let me talk about the service. The day of check-in happened to be a family member's birthday, and the young lady who checked me in was very attentive, and immediately sent blessings and small surprises. The glasses brother in the hotel's Chinese restaurant also gave me a very warm reception, which left a brilliant impression and memory for me and my family.

The hotel's facilities are good, the location is great, and the breakfast is also good. However, if you ask me if I'd recommend it, I'd hesitate. My biggest issue with the hotel: no air conditioning. The lobby was comfortably air-conditioned at around 20 degrees Celsius, but the room temperature was over 25 degrees. When I asked the hotel to turn on the A/C, they suggested opening a window. This is listed as a five-star hotel on Ctrip, and I'm unsure if not having air conditioning meets national standards for a five-star property. In the restaurant, there were two coffee machines; one couldn't grind coffee, and the other was incredibly slow. It's unbelievable that getting a cup of coffee at a five-star hotel would be such a hassle. Also, in the second-floor restaurant restroom, facilities like the toilet paper dispenser were broken, which is completely inconsistent with a five-star standard. I've never encountered a hotel like this before.

My friend and I stayed at the Sofitel Guiyang Hunter, and it was incredibly romantic! Our high-floor room offered direct views of Jiaxiu Tower at night, and soaking in the tub while admiring the city lights was so therapeutic. The room decor was cozy, and the welcome fruit and desserts added a lovely touch. Lisa was so kind and thoughtful; she even gave me a cake when she found out it was my birthday, and she was always there to help throughout our stay. We had dinner at the Cloud Restaurant on the 57th floor, and the delicious food paired with the night view created an amazing atmosphere. It was a perfect blend of French elegance and Guiyang charm. The surroundings are beautiful, offering both the stunning scenery of the Jinjiang River and the cultural atmosphere of the National Customs Park, making for a pleasant evening stroll. 2. Comfortable Room Experience We booked a Deluxe River View Room, and the front desk representative, Xiao Peng, upgraded us to an Executive River View Room. This spacious 90-square-meter room features floor-to-ceiling windows facing the Jinjiang River, offering unobstructed views of both the mountains and the river. The room is fully equipped with a bathtub, refrigerator, and smart curtains. The mattress has the perfect firmness for an excellent sleep. The hotel also offers exceptional attention to detail, including welcome fruit. 3. Attentive Service The front desk service was particularly commendable. Check-in was very efficient. Xiao Peng, the staff member, was not only warm and attentive, but also proactively upgraded our room, gave us welcome fruit, and provided free luggage storage. 4. Extensive Dining Options The hotel offers two restaurants: Fu Restaurant (buffet) and Bijingxuan (a la carte Chinese cuisine). The breakfast menu is extensive, with both Western bread and coffee and local rice noodles, all very delicious. 5. Complete Amenities - Indoor heated swimming pool: Clean, uncrowded, and perfect for relaxing. 6. Tips The hotel is near the railway station, and the occasional train whistle can be heard, which may be disturbing for light sleepers, but overall the impact is minimal. There are no supermarkets or restaurants nearby, so takeout is the only option.

The hotel's location is pretty good, and I used points to upgrade my room, which was a nice bonus. However, I have to mention two things that weren't so great. First, the hot water kept fluctuating between scalding hot and freezing cold, making showering an ordeal of endless temperature changes – I couldn't just stand under the water comfortably. Second, when customer service reached out via WeChat, they asked me to include their nickname in my reply. It would be really helpful if they introduced themselves when we first meet, because otherwise, I have no idea which staff member I'm talking to from our previous interactions.

Guests receive a free Miao costume experience upon check-in. The quality and styles of the clothes are quite good, showing a lot of care. The common areas are large and particularly beautiful, offering a great place to relax. The housekeeper is available 24/7, helping with luggage and offering travel advice. They're always reachable if you need anything.

The bed is incredibly comfortable; a good night's sleep is so important after a long journey. The common areas of the guesthouse are very pleasant, with a relaxation area where you can enjoy a coffee in the morning or chat with friends in the evening – the atmosphere is fantastic. The location is also excellent, away from the hustle and bustle yet conveniently located; taxis and buses are easy to find. The host's service is very attentive; they are not overly intrusive but always ready to help. A superb experience – highly recommended!
