Out of all the hotels I've stayed in, this one truly stands out! The front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive, and check-in was super quick. They even thoughtfully recommended local eateries and attractions. The room was clean and tidy, with excellent facilities. The cleaning staff were also very thorough, keeping the room spotless every single day. The breakfast at the restaurant was varied and delicious. This stay was fantastic, and I'll definitely be back!

I booked this Holiday Inn Express along the river in advance on Ctrip, as I was taking my parents back to Yichang to visit family and pay respects at the cemetery. My flight landed a bit late, but the front desk service was excellent when I checked in. The hotel's overall environment is very clean, and the room amenities are complete. Although the room faced the street (with a river view), the soundproofing was good. There's also a laundry room and a gym on the second floor. The restaurant is next to the gym; while the breakfast selection isn't huge, they have hot dry noodles, which taste great. Overall, it was a very good stay.

First, the pros: The natural scenery at this hotel is absolutely breathtaking, making even the West Lake State Guest House seem modest in comparison. The boardwalks throughout the hotel are also beautifully maintained. If you're looking for peace and quiet, there's no need to visit the East Lake Scenic Area nearby – this place *is* the scenic area. While staying at the hotel, you can also visit Mao Zedong's former residence. There's a restaurant next to the residence with an impeccable dining environment, which I unfortunately only discovered upon checking out. The hotel's east gate has a bus terminal where you can catch a bus to the museum, Yellow Crane Tower, and Tanhualin. It’s a great way to enjoy the city views while traveling. There are also many restaurants nearby. Now for the cons: The facilities are a bit dated. The outlets in the room are very loose; I could only charge my devices in the bathroom. Also, there are so many mirrors that it constantly created visual illusions. There's no elevator access to the rooms for breakfast, so I had to climb stairs every time. Despite these points, I still highly recommend this hotel and hope for improvements.

This Marriott in Wuhan is an absolute showstopper! It boasts incredible lake views with sleek architectural lines and glass curtain walls that perfectly reflect the sky and water. The lobby is packed with artistic flair, featuring stunning Chu cultural details like tiger-seat bird-stands and drum art that are incredibly evocative. Every staff member was warm and attentive. Both the buffet and breakfast were super lavish, and the executive lounge was wonderfully quiet and elegant. Our room was simple yet luxurious, and the massive bathtub offered fantastic city views while soaking – pure bliss!

This trip was a wonderful surprise and a truly touching experience, starting with booking the hotel. It was a warm welcome in the winter of 2026. I initially booked a hotel for that night on Ctrip, but later saw a discounted package deal. I immediately contacted customer service to modify my booking, and they listened to my request and contacted the hotel promptly to change the order. We were extremely satisfied! 👍 Furthermore, the hotel service was excellent, thoughtful, and attentive. A small note with a greeting was like a warm current dispelling the chill. In short, it was a truly unforgettable experience.

The overall aspects are very balanced and the living is very smooth. The dining is simple and exquisite, the taste is reliable, and the daily dining is completely enough. The front desk and staff are very enthusiastic and the problem is solved in a timely manner. The room hygiene is quite good, living quietly and relaxing, and the quality of sleep has improved. Choosing the Four Seasons International Hotel in Shiyan was such a smart decision! First off, I have to praise the air conditioning – the heating was absolutely amazing. The room warmed up completely within minutes, and the silent design didn't disturb my rest at all. The hot water supply was incredibly stable too; the temperature stayed perfectly comfortable the whole time, making for an excellent shower experience. Plus, the breakfast area was beautiful, with fresh ingredients and a wide variety of choices. The room itself was spacious and well-equipped. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shiyan!

The hotel boasts a grand and elegant design. Although it opened in 2010 (and was renovated in 2020), the interior facilities are meticulously maintained and show no signs of age. The mini-bar is chargeable, but the front desk kindly provided two complimentary drink vouchers upon check-in, which was a nice touch. During my stay, there were a few minor hiccups (such as an opened bath salt from a previous guest not being replaced, and an empty lotion bottle not being refilled), but thankfully, the responses were very prompt. A special thanks to Leah at the front desk for her help! 🌹 The most delightful part of my stay was undoubtedly the Executive Lounge. It wasn't crowded, so it was quiet, and tables were cleared very quickly. The food selection was impressive. Dining there offered close-up views of the river, which was a wonderful experience. Breakfast the next day was also quite good, with a decent spread of Chinese, Western, pastries, and fruits – everything you'd expect. Overall, both the hotel's amenities and service are excellent, living up to their expected standards. However, given its age, some facilities and items inevitably show a bit of wear and tear (like the bathtub in the room or the dining plates in the restaurant). There's still room for improvement in some minor details, but generally, it was a very good experience.

SShalinda WIf you don’t speak the local language, I do not recommend staying at this hotel. It was incredibly difficult getting both on, and off the mountain “scenic area”. Some hotels in Trip reached out to us in advance to help coordinate transportation, this one does not. Your only way to contact the hotel is by calling, which isn’t feasible if you don’t speak the language. The hotel website showed that parking was available, so I thought we would be able to get there by DiDi, as long as I paid the fee to get the car into the park. This was not the case. We did see private vehicles, but I’m not sure what goes into that, but I believe 4 wheel drive is one requirement. So with our luggage, he dropped us off at the base of the mountain. It took a little while to get to the ticket office, you have to walk up several stairs and through a cobblestone market to get there, so we got nice and sweaty and uncomfortable. From there, you take a bus (ours had no underside luggage stowage) about halfway up to another stop. We had to awkwardly hold our luggage in the aisle of a full bus, while going up-hill and doing switch-backs. Everyone gets off about halfway-way up, at a station with several different buses. We asked for help and someone pointed us to the correct one. From the final bus stop up top, it was a short walk to the hotel. We figured going down would be much smoother, but after getting off the first bus, we accidentally got on the wrong one and started going back up. Overall, took us about 2.5 hours from the airport to the hotel, then just over three hours from hotel to the HSR station. Minor descriptions for the room were inaccurate. Ours was listed as on floor 3 or 4, it was actually basement level. The hotel is in the edge of the mountain, so it still had a scenic view. The window in our room was dirty (I expected more for what we were paying). The hand soap in the bathroom was in a re-used bottle and was watered down. Listed amenities said sauna and massage room, there are neither here (nor was there an offer of other local places to go when I asked). The breakfast food was amazing, including a hot, fresh bar with a chef making eggs and noodles. I wasn’t able to partake in the noodles one day because of the language barrier. Hotel staff was more hesitant than other places we’ve stayed in using translation tools and I felt like too much of an inconvenience in using them to ask for noodles. There is bottled water in the rooms, you can ask for more for free (they friended me via WeChat on Check-In and is largely how we communicated). There is free tea and snacks in the afternoon, the hotel was quiet so we were able to take up one of two seats that had an amazing view outside. The staff working the tea time was great and super courteous. You can hike to South Crag Palace and Nanyan Palace by foot, both are absolutely stunning. In summary, if we were to visit the area again, I would stay at a hotel at the bottom of the mountain (not in the scenic area) and use the day exploring/getting lost on the bus. While the view was great, it simply wasn’t worth the high price and the difficulty in getting there for non-locals. If I knew a hotel in the scenic area would reach out to me in advance to assist, then I would go for it. But unfortunately, with the way Trip.com works right now, hotels have to initiate that, guests cannot. I don’t recommend this hotel for non-native speakers.

DDaixigongyuMarco Polo Wuhan: An Unexpectedly Great Stay at a Classic Five-Star Hotel **Reason for Choosing:** When booking a hotel, location was my top priority, and the Marco Polo certainly delivers. However, after browsing online reviews, which were a mixed bag of good and bad, I was a bit hesitant. Then I remembered the Hong Kong Marco Polo, a long-standing establishment I’ve always held in high regard. Trusting in the reputation of classic hotels, I decided to go with this one. **Location:** Absolutely unbeatable location. The hotel is right next to the Yangtze River, and just across the road is Jiangtan Park, perfect for a pleasant evening stroll – it has a bit of an old Shanghai Bund vibe. Next to the hotel is Lihuangpi Road, a charming street with many cafes, also reminiscent of Shanghai. The entire riverside avenue features old, historic buildings, and the view of the buildings across the river from Jiangtan Park is simply stunning. **Room:** I booked an Executive Floor room, which offered a view of the Yangtze River. The hotel underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2024, so while the room's layout retains a classic hotel style, the soft furnishings, carpets, and other elements are all new, making for a very comfortable stay. The room size was also quite generous. Many online reviews mentioned issues with the rooms, but I was extremely satisfied with mine. **Executive Lounge:** The Executive Lounge was the highlight of my stay. * **Ambiance:** The lounge boasts excellent river views and a fantastic atmosphere. The table linens and decor transported me back to the golden age of classic hotels – I remember a time when staying on the Executive Floor meant checking in separately at the lounge, enjoying breakfast there for peace and quiet away from the crowded main dining area, and having afternoon tea and happy hour. Nowadays, many hotels cut these services to save costs. We had just come from the Grand Hyatt in Changsha, where they’d even stopped offering breakfast in the Executive Lounge. So, it was truly satisfying to see that this hotel still maintains the high standards and style of a classic hotel. * **Service:** The Executive Lounge staff were incredibly attentive. I can honestly say it was the best service I've experienced in an Executive Lounge at any 5-star hotel in recent years. The staff genuinely went above and beyond to meet every guest's request. A special shout-out to Xiaoxiong (Fairy)! * **Food & Beverage:** The afternoon tea and Happy Hour selections were abundant. The breakfast was even more impressive, featuring an à la carte menu. This truly embodies the customer-centric philosophy of a classic luxury five-star hotel. **Service Philosophy (Special Commendation):** In an era where many five-star hotels have completely forgotten their fundamental goal of “serving guests” and prioritize cost-cutting, the Marco Polo stands apart. It continues to uphold its service philosophy, truly embodying the essence of a luxury hotel. This dedication is incredibly touching and highly commendable. **Overall Impression:** This stay was unexpectedly wonderful. It offered great value for money. All the negative issues I had worried about from online reviews didn't materialize. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends, and if they visit Wuhan, especially Hankou, this will be my top recommendation.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very close to Metro Line 7. The room has a good view. You can see the lake. The lake is downstairs. You can go to the lake at night. The hotel is very close to Wansongyuan Snack Street. Wansongyuan Snack Street is very famous in Wuhan. There are many delicious foods. I checked in for crayfish, hot dry noodles, duck neck and lotus root soup... They are all very good. The hotel service is also very good. The child got greasy all over after eating crayfish. I asked the front desk for detergent, which was delivered to the room quickly. The hotel bar has free drinks, and the front desk also has free water and drinks. The hotel service staff are very friendly. There is no uninterruptible power supply at the bedside of the room I stayed in, so it is not convenient to charge the mobile phone at night.

GGuest UserThis isn't my first time choosing the嘉华 Hotel. I still love the Chinese-style decor in the lobby; it's full of traditional charm. The room was comfortable and spacious, and impeccably clean! This time I stayed on the 19th floor, which offered a really beautiful view! If the weather had been good, the sunlight would have been amazing, perfect for taking great photos! The front desk attendant was very friendly and helped me pick a room I was really happy with – very nice! This is a fantastic hotel with excellent value for money, truly living up to its five-star rating. Highly recommend! I'll definitely choose the Wuhan Wanda嘉华 again next time!

The service is also superb; the front desk staff were warm and patient, which was very comforting. The location is right in the center of Wuhan, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. CChul H AhnThe facility was clean and the food was good. Most of all, the services by people in the frond desk and cleaning crews were excellent. Especially, Zeng Cen was phenomenal. When a taxi driver charged a fare of 839 Chinese Yuan from Wuhan international airport to the hotel, he explained to the driver why the fare was ridiculously high and made him to reduce to 355 yuan. I really appreciate his willingness to speak up for a foreign customer.

GGuest UserThis hotel left a great impression on me. From the moment I entered the door, Xiaojie and Xiaolin were warmly welcomed. They took the initiative to help these tea services check in. They patiently introduced the hotel facilities, intimately recommended surrounding attractions, the room bedding was soft, and the window was open. Clean and comfortable. Hotel service is good. Every time I pass by the front desk clerk, I will take the initiative to smile and say hello. It feels like home. Check out and hand over mineral water. This kind of service is really rare. I will choose here next time and recommend it to all good friends. The restaurant is rich and varied. It feels good, the beef noodles are very delicious, and you can continue. The only downside is that the hotel equipment and facilities are a bit old.
