I loved Dormy Inn's amenities: the on-site hot springs, complimentary ice pops, Yakult, and evening soba noodles. The service was very friendly, and there's even a free foot bath right outside the entrance. To get there: Take a ferry from Hiroshima Port to Matsuyama Port. Upon arrival, take a shuttle bus to Takahama Station. From Takahama Station, take the train to Otemachi Station (on this line, Umezu-dera Station is the second stop after Otemachi). Once you exit Otemachi Station, cross the road and catch the tram heading towards Dogo Onsen. Get off at Okaido (大街道), and the hotel is just a two to three-minute walk further in. The only minor improvement would be for the bedding and bathrobes to be as fresh and dry as the bath towels – that would make the experience absolutely perfect!

The rooms weren't brand new, but they were spotlessly clean. The hotel's location is superb. There's a tram stop right outside the door, and you can reach another tram line in just 5-6 minutes on foot. Plus, the JR station is less than a 15-minute walk away. Right across the street, there's a good-sized convenience store. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in town.

The best central hotel you'll find. Fantastic value for money, the hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly. It's only a few streets away from a massive shopping district including restaurants, so you won't have to go far when you're hungry. There's a tram station very nearby so you can get to Dogo Onsen easily. The internet in the room is a godsend. Most hotels skimp on the internet so you can only load one webpage an hour, and it makes looking up day trip ideas and booking things a huge pain. At this hotel I had no issues with it. This made it the best hotel for a 'home base' to plan day trips from. Beware Google Maps getting here, it points you to the southern side of the block, the entrance to this hotel is on the northern side of the block.

The hotel is clean and tidy. For self-check-in, staff are available to assist. You can pick up skincare products and toothbrushes at the front desk on the 2nd floor. Guests can enjoy the hotel's hot spring for free. It's very convenient for shopping, with Takashimaya right next door and two convenience stores downstairs. Transportation is incredibly convenient. Please note, it's right next to Matsuyama-shi Station (not JR Matsuyama Station). If you need to go to JR Matsuyama Station, there's a tram stop downstairs that also provides direct access to Okaido, the Matsuyama Castle Ropeway, Dogo Onsen, and more. From Iyo-Tetsu Matsuyama-shi Station, where the hotel is located, you can also directly reach Baishinji Temple, a popular spot for fans of 'Tokyo Love Story.' Additionally, there's a highway bus terminal nearby, offering more economical travel to places like Takamatsu, Tokushima, and Osaka compared to taking the train, just for your reference. The buffet breakfast is indeed excellent; the five types of orange juice and the sea bream rice bowl alone make it worth it. Every afternoon until evening, welcome drinks and coffee are also available for self-service on the 2nd floor.

This is a hotel with history and stories. The Japanese emperor and the great Japanese writer Natsume have stayed here. The hotel service is good and they will help deliver the luggage to the room. Check-in is at 3pm. We arrived at noon and could only go to Dogo Onsen Street for a walk and wait until after 3pm to go back to the hotel to rest. The kaiseki cuisine for dinner at the hotel is good, and the steak is very tender. There are Western and Japanese breakfast options, and we chose Japanese breakfast. The hotel's hot springs are average, on the second and third floors of the South Building, and the third floor is a cypress hot spring. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Dogo Onsen Station, which is quite close, but it is uphill from the station. We took a taxi from the hotel at Matsuyama City Station for 1,630 yen.

An excellently located hotel for touring the city. It is right across from the main shopping street. Located on the tram line with short rides to most tourist attractions in Matsuyama.   The rooms are well appointed and the parking is accessed from the rear of the hotel site.  It is an automated parking system which requires you to drive it into and out of the elevator before it is whisked away.  I’d recommend this property to anyone looking to visit Matsuyama.

I stayed here on my first trip to Matsuyama. The location is great, with excellent access from the airport. It was also very convenient that there were restaurants and convenience stores nearby. There was a tourist guide for Matsuyama posted inside the hotel, which was very elaborate and impressive, probably made by the hotel staff themselves. I would like to stay here again next year. Thank you for providing us with a wonderful stay!!

A Perfect Business Hotel! The rooms are new, clean, and compact but very functional. The bathroom was spotless and shiny. Personally, I really liked the library café in the lobby — a cozy space available to hotel guests even before check-in and after check-out. It offers free drinks, Wi-Fi, and power outlets. Breakfast had a limited selection, but everything was delicious.

LLaowangOwenThe room was clean and tidy, and the front desk service was excellent, especially the lady who spoke Chinese. Downstairs is a main street, making transportation very convenient. The streetcar goes directly to the JR station via the No. 2 express line. I visited many places like Imabari Castle, Baishinji Temple, Dogo Onsen, Matsuyama Castle, and Iyo-Ozu. I also stayed at a REI hotel in Takamatsu, which was quite good, just a bit smaller than this one.

GGuest UserThe overall environment was great. However, there’s one thing I’m extremely dissatisfied with—the walls! The wall between my room and the next is incredibly thin, and it even shakes. I have no idea what kind of ******* is staying next door, but around 12:30 a.m., they suddenly started banging on the wall multiple times. My bed is right up against that wall, and it shook violently three or four times, waking me up in shock. After that, about every hour, they kept hitting the wall again, making it shake like it was during an earthquake. I honestly never expected a hotel room at ANA to have walls of such poor quality! Even now, thinking back to that night still frightens me.

Mmind_blowingThis is a long-established hot spring resort hotel, showing its age and the facilities are a bit dated. However, it currently offers good value for money. The hot spring pools are very large, with several outdoor pools. Soaking in the hot spring while being close to the mountains is a pleasant experience. Meals are buffet style, neither particularly good nor bad. There is currently a free shuttle bus from Songshan Airport directly to the hotel, which is quite convenient!
