Amazing
XXiangdaorenStaying at Hotel Granvia Hiroshima again was definitely the right choice! The hotel has direct access to the station, making transportation incredibly convenient with many options available. Shopping and dining in the surrounding area are also super handy. The room I booked was quite good, with a spacious view. Both the hotel's breakfast buffet and the executive lounge's food were excellent! It was a very satisfying experience.
GGuest UserThe location is incredibly convenient. The airport shuttle is right downstairs, and you can directly access the JR and Shinkansen stations from the second floor. Shopping and getting around are super easy. The hotel service is excellent. They have a happy hour every night from 5-7 PM with half-price drinks, and you can even order sushi and tempura at reasonable prices. I'll definitely stay here again next time.
GGuest UserPros:
1. Excellent location.
2. Service was very good.
3. The hotel is quite new.
4. All basic facilities are well-equipped.
5. Breakfast was very rich and varied.
6. They were very accommodating to our two adults and two children. We booked the room for adults, and only had to pay a small difference and buy children's breakfast upon check-in, which was really great.
Cons:
1. The hotel's parking lot is very small and often full. The other two parking lots are quite far, so we just found another parking spot nearby.
2. Dinner on December 30th (New Year's Eve price) for two adults and two children was 21,000 JPY, but the food was really mediocre. Compared to the excellent breakfast and lunch, it was a bit disappointing. Breakfast and lunch, however, were both very good and highly recommended.
3. I've stayed at three Hilton hotels in Japan (Tokyo Disney, Hiroshima, Nagasaki), and none of them have a consistent policy for children. It's always best to call or email ahead to confirm when staying with kids. However, this hotel's extra charge was minimal, which was very considerate.
XXinburuJoThe location of Granvia is always the best. It's right outside the South Exit of the JR station, so you don't even need to leave the station, making it convenient to go anywhere. The hygiene is excellent and very clean, with a separate shower and toilet. Most amenities are provided, but bath salts are not. The lack of a laundry room is a bit inconvenient. The staff speak English and are friendly.
However, the room is quite small. For a double room, two people might struggle to fully open their luggage.
GGuest UserThe hotel offers aesthetically impressive rooms that match the pictures, with the breathtaking view surpassing all expectations in person. The staff also provided excellent service in accommodating food intolerances. Unfortunately, the culinary experience was disappointing; the food was too mild and underwhelming for the price paid. Furthermore, the Onsen facility was inadequate: it lacked variety with only 2 warm pools and a steam sauna, offered no varying water temperatures (and the cold plunge pool was not cold enough). Additionally, the desired peaceful atmosphere was disrupted by having more of a socializing gathering in the onsen, which lowered the overall impression and value of the wellness area. In summary: excellent rooms but we would have expected more value for money regarding the food and spa.
33178****The stay experience is very enjoyable, the hotel location is very good, the sea is outside the window, sitting in the house and enjoying the invincible scenery, the main street is downstairs, the Japanese cuisine for dinner is very amazing, the service is very thoughtful. The room is spacious and beautiful, the hot spring is on the top floor with the hot spring to see the beautiful scenery, the most beautiful holiday.
WWanwanshizhimaoThis is the second closest hotel to the station, with Daiwa being the first. The downside of being so close is the noise from passing trains. The overall soundproofing of the hotel isn't great either; I could clearly hear the cleaning staff talking in the hallway during my afternoon nap. Also, for some reason, there were sudden, loud cracking noises in the room. At first, I thought it might be the wooden furniture expanding and contracting due to temperature changes, making a loud 'CRACK!', but then I wondered how that could be when the AC was on constantly. These noises were quite disturbing in the middle of the night. The fridge was also noisy, and so was the AC. In short, there was a mix of various noises, yet somehow they seemed to cancel each other out – quite a bizarre experience. The facilities are a bit old, but the room itself is spacious. It was clean, and the service was very good.
