4 minutes from the beach.
Huge terrace, small but comfortable room (there are also larger ones)
Only the breakfast in the café downstairs is not recommended. In addition, the cushions on the terrace could be cleaner (they are completely exposed to the rain).
The location is phenomenal, the staff extremely friendly
It's pretty much like a Mercure hotel. Breakfast was decent, but you might have to wait for a table when it's busy. The elevator broke down daily, and the underground parking was quite expensive, though street parking nearby was hard to find. At 1,000 RMB a night, I felt the overall value for money wasn't great.
The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice view from hotel room and breakfast is also fantastic. Will definitely stay in Vincci Hoteles if I visit Bilbao again!
We had such a great time this year for Semana Grande. And the Axel Hotel was in the perfect location for us. Right on the river next to a great spot for drinks and food. The rooftop pool is also a great spot to watch the fireworks! The staff was so helpful and friendly. And although we didn't need housekeeping while we were staying there they offered every day to clean our room or swap out towels or necessities for us. What a great experience. We will definitely be back!
The front desk staff was really nice and told me it felt like a small village hotel and that the location was close to the airport and I could walk there.
Nice hotel close to the city center. Friendly staff. Parking is an issue, if you don’t get to book your space then you have to park outside in a public parking and both are expensive.
The rooms are modern and the swimming pool at the rooftop is useful. Also the spa.
The staff were all very kind and helpful.
They gave us plenty of water because people in San Sebastian drink a lot of alcohol.
I'd like to stay here again when I go to San Sebastian.
Very clean hotel with a huge room :) clean and spacious bathroom. Very well located a few minutes walk from the museum and the city center. Underground parking is a plus (even if paid).

Great
GGuest UserThe room design is very French, bright and warm. The hygiene is good. The location is very convenient, and the surrounding restaurants and shopping are convenient. The Guggenheim is also within walking distance. The only drawback is that the middle of the bed is a bit soft, and the waist is sore when sleeping. The restaurant breakfast selection is limited, and there is room for improvement.
AAlbertExcellent. The complex is part of the luxury Arima Hotel, and although the entrance is through another entrance at the back, you can use its services, such as the restaurant, which is very good. The rooms were very new, well-equipped, and very comfortable. Free street parking is available.
BbaraoGuild**”BAD: Beware of the 'Upgrade'”**
Our priority when booking was the room size and budget, so we reserved a 32m² City View room.
At check-in, the hotel staff offered us an ”upgrade.” He said that for an additional €25 per day, we could ”upgrade,” so we agreed.
However, while the room did have a Sea View, the size was downgraded to just 21m². I told them that paying €25 to have a smaller room was a downgrade, but they insisted that the view had been upgraded.
I asked to be moved back to the room we originally booked, but the staff ignored my request for an entire day.
Let me ask you this: if you went to see a new landscape, and the view changed, how would you describe it? You wouldn’t say the landscape itself was ”upgraded,” would you? You’d say the view was different or better.
The following day, I finally got a response from the staff. They told me I’d need to pay an additional €70 per day if I wanted a 32m² Sea View room.
While the hotel facilities and scenery are excellent, the staff are focused entirely on business and seem to aim to squeeze every extra euro from their guests.
In the end, we ended up paying the €25.

GGuest UserI thought the sauna was included in our stay that’s why I booked the hotel.
When I’ve mentioned it to the staff about not having an additional cost to it when you book online, they told me is part of the spa . This is very confusing as if it was part of the spa why mentioning it and not including it in the spa section .
Spa and sauna are not the same and if it’s a cost to it , that should be mentioned.
Anything else was amazing . Also they don’t have a separate cost to the sauna only ! I just wanted to use the gym and the sauna , no spa though! There was no possibility to book the sauna without the spa.
It’s like 20 euros per acces not per day which I thought it’s a rip off especially when you are already booked with the hotel and you’ve paid for your room! Again staff showed no flexibility , it was either pay for something you won’t use or you don’t get it!
Ended up not booking it because I did not want to use the spa , and I thought it was a lot of money (20 euros) to pay for 15 min use of sauna only.
GGuest UserIt is clean and friendly. The room condition is good for the price. (Hotels with the same price near Abando Station have smaller rooms for the same price) You can walk to major tourist attractions and public transportation is good, so it was convenient for sightseeing.
GGuest UserI booked this hotel because it was in a quiet location , the room had double glazed windows that allowed me to sleep soundly for more than 8 hours each night and I could reach the city easily by taking the bus.
FYI the taxi fares from and to the San Sebastian airport was 90€ in total, which the hotel has no say on or any other hotels for that matter.
Xxuzhon****Reception Marcus's service was very good. The location is also very good.
The breakfast was average, no CAVA.
The two waiters at the bar, especially the girl, were very good. The girl was like a character in Rembrandt's painting, sincere and kind.
Will definitely come back.

HHestia.YThe hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice view from hotel room and breakfast is also fantastic. Will definitely stay in Vincci Hoteles if I visit Bilbao again!
