4-Star Hotels in Zagreb County, Croatia

The location is near a freight train hub, but it didn't bother us. The room was spacious and quite clean. The hotel owners cut corners on the decor: the walls in the hallway and parts of the room, as well as the ceilings, are bare concrete, not even plastered. Now they call it an 'original style' (chuckles). It's inconvenient that the sink is in the room, not in the bathroom. The room has bathrobes and slippers, but no disposable toothbrushes. There's a small electric kettle and a capsule coffee machine, but not even a single bottle of drinking water... Unexpected for a hotel that isn't exactly cheap. When booking, it wasn't mentioned anywhere that the hotel's underground parking costs 12 euros per night, which was also a surprise. Breakfasts are quite substantial, but there wasn't even simple oatmeal... The available food isn't very suitable for someone with gastritis...

In need of refurbishment from a cosmetic perspective, as the carpet in my hotel room was worn and tired. No body wash and had to ring housekeeping for refill… perhaps this should be checked regularly with cleaning. Cannot fault the care demonstrated towards guests and breakfast quality. A grand old lady of Zagreb that will always draw me to her. Fantastic location. Highly recommended.

I stayed on Sat~Sun, and there was a public parking lot diagonally across, so parking was free. (Zagreb public parking lot: Saturday 15:00 ~ Sunday free) The accommodation was much bigger than I thought. The facilities were also good. The breakfast place was small, so it would be good to eat when there were no people. Breakfast was delicious.

I only now stay at this hotel when I am in Zagreb. From the moment you walk through the main doors and into the reception area, you are warmly acknowledged and greeted. You are a valued guest and are treated like one. Check in process is smooth and seamless. The room is well-appointed and given the time of the year, cosy and warm. The bed wa super comfortable and the pillows offered enough support to ensure a good nights' sleep. The bathroom was spotless and the heated towel rail was much appreciated. If you are so inclined, the mini bar is stocked and there is also excellent room service. The buffet breakfast is sensational- the best in Zagreb. Something for everyone and for all dietary requirements. The one thing that always impresses me here is the fact that all employees and acknowledge their guests- from the room attendants to the kitchen staff. I will alway come back to the Astoria Zagreb. Thank you for looking after me.

The cleanliness was a major plus, and for us, having a bathtub was the biggest draw and best feature. The only minor issues were that the toilet flush button was a bit stiff and there was a cleaning toothbrush (or so it seemed) near the room entrance, but these were barely noticeable compared to the overall comfort.

Arrived in the middle of the night due to the convenience of the plane. I went without knowing that check-in was until 22:00, and I was inconvenient, but I managed to guide me to the room and I was able to spend a comfortable time. Thank you. There was no sign (just not found?) The entrance was so dark that it took me a while to reach it. If you go early, there may be no problem at all. Since it was Saturday night, there were clubs nearby in the center of Zagreb, and the trams were moving late and it was in a city where I couldn't sleep, so it might be perfect for checking in early and playing outside. no!

Hotel is located conveniently, especially if traveling by car. When I arrived, while taking a shower I realized that the bath drain was clogged and had to clean it myself (as I was already soaking wet). Obviously, clearing out other people's hairs wasn't my idea of a well maintained bath in a 4-star hotel so I complained at the reception. They apologised, but it was all a bit too late. In general, the shower could use some TLC as the toiletry shelf inside the shower was not clean as well (had some mold on it). Other then that, the room was adequate, and the location of the hotel allows for a good sleep, even with windows open as it is far enough from busy streets. Breakfast was mediocre - croissants were semi-baked, almost raw inside and definitely just baked to finish from frozen (not freshly made in hotel bakery). The selection of food was meh, but it wasn't horrible.

This is one of the best hotels at Zagreb, it's in the middle of city center, very good location. The room is new and fresh, the staffs is very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast on the rooftop is kind of cool. will revisit here for sure

we have a great 5nites stays at 2 bedroom apartment, it was a pleasant stay, the receptionist Olivier is helpful, the room is ample, all good, willing to come again if i travel to zagreb again.
