The front staff were not friendly, and there was very little warmth or hospitality. Even though our room was already ready, they were very strict about only allowing check-in after 3pm, which made things inconvenient—especially for families travelling with children or elderly. 🏨 Room Condition The hotel is quite old, and it shows. • The room had a noticeable old smell when we entered. • The toilet wasn’t very clean, and water leaked out into the room area, which was uncomfortable and unsafe for kids. • Overall, the upkeep and cleanliness were not at the standard we expected. 🏊 Facilities We went to the pool area but found no staff at the pool counter, which made it difficult to request towels or assistance. The pool area itself is decent, but the lack of staff presence made it feel unmanaged. 📍 Location The hotel is in a convenient central area, close to malls and food outlets, which is the main positive point. ⸻ ⭐ Overall Rating: 2.8/5 Aryaduta Pekanbaru has potential because of its location and brand, but the hospitality, cleanliness, and maintenance need significant improvement. I stayed at Novotel Pekanbaru with my wife and children for a short staycation. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and family-friendly. My kids really enjoyed the swimming pool, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good variety of options. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and a great choice for a family getaway.

The room was more spacious than expected, clean and tidy overall, with plenty of room to move between the bed and the TV wall, so unpacking luggage didn't feel cramped. The air conditioning was also very powerful. The hotel is about a 30-minute drive from Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport. Facilities: The Lobby and *** Restaurant are on the 2nd floor, while the Pool, Gym, SPA, and Pool Bistro are on the 15th floor. Ideal for short stays of 1-2 nights, business trips, or layovers.

The hotel's location is super close to the airport, so it's definitely worth it if you're looking for a place not too far from there. There's also a swimming pool, which is why a lot of families stay here. The rooms are a bit old-fashioned but clean, though they do have that distinct old hotel scent. Overall, it's just good.

The room is clean The bed is not very comfortable, it needs a to be changed to a new one. Location is a bit far from the center. The gym is very small & disappointing, it's should NOT be called as a gym, but a room with 1 treadmill & a full set of dumbbell.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Besides being comfortable, it's right in the city center, close to large malls. Every time we had a staycation with the kids, swimming here was very comfortable. What really impressed me was getting a birthday surprise from the hotel staff!

What really stood out was the consistency—from the concierge to breakfast and housekeeping, every detail was flawless. Special thanks to the amazing Front Desk team led by Kak Mifta, along with Bang Dean, Bang Rizki, and the entire breakfast team—everyone was incredible. And a big thank you to Ney, who cooked Indomie for us every morning—her customer service was truly amazing and made each day extra special. This hotel doesn’t just meet expectations—it exceeds them. Great deal actually for Rp. 330k including breakfast. Rooms are huge but old. Breakfast is delicious, enough variety not to be bored in the 5 days I've stayed. The pool is quite large and there were almost no other people on weekdays. The location is just okay. It's a 15 min walk to Ciputra mall and around the same distance to Sudirman, so gojek is needed if you don't want to endure heat. The window view is good from the front side, as long as you aren't bothered by a large graveyard nearby.
