The environment and hygiene are both excellent, and the twin room is very spacious. The surrounding area is nice, and it's super convenient to get to the airport directly from the hotel. The only downside is that it's a bit far from the old town. It's a great choice if you're staying overnight for a connecting flight. Breakfast is optional and can be paid for on-site.

I was so pleased with my stay at the Duoyue Hotel Binhai Plaza store. The room was spacious and clean, the bedding was soft, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation. The smart toilet and giant projector screen were huge bonuses! The front desk staff were incredibly warm and professional, and even proactively recommended local attractions. The 24-hour gym and self-service laundry room were thoughtful touches. Every detail was well-considered, making it feel as comfortable as home. Highly recommend!

The hotel's location is excellent, right above MixC Shopping Mall. The Chinese restaurant on the second floor serves delicious food at a reasonable price. During the long holiday weekend, outside restaurants had long queues, so we decisively chose to dine at the hotel and had a wonderful meal.

After checking into the hotel, I was consistently impressed by the professionalism and attentiveness of Timi and Alice. Timi was patient and thorough, guiding us every step of the way, which made us feel incredibly at ease. Alice was warm and enthusiastic, her service was thoughtful and friendly, and she handled every detail wonderfully. The overall atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, making us feel especially warm. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back again~

This is my top choice for hotels in Jinan. The location is excellent, right in the city center, making it convenient for getting around. The hotel decor is luxurious and refined, and the rooms are comfortable, spacious, and spotlessly clean. You get fantastic views of urban landscapes like Daming Lake and Quancheng Square! All the staff are professional and enthusiastic. Quality Control Manager Connie was especially thoughtful and can help you with any issue. Overall, my stay was great, and I'll definitely be coming back.

Every time I visit Weifang, my hotel choices are either the Himalaya or this one. I've probably stayed here at least five or six times, but this time the cleanliness was really subpar. The floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned, and your towels seriously need replacing.

Overall, my experience at this hotel was very satisfying, completely meeting the quality standards I expect from the Marriott brand. The service was exceptionally thoughtful; a staff member proactively called me the day before check-in to arrange everything in advance. They were meticulous, patient, and responsive throughout, making for a great experience. The room was brand new, spacious, and well-laid out, with comfortable bedding that made my stay very relaxing. The breakfast deserves special praise: the food stations were clearly organized with a smooth flow, offering a rich variety of options, including local Qufu specialties. This blend of taste and local culture was a big plus. My only minor suggestion is that the kids' club facilities are quite simple and more suited for younger children. I hope they can add more activities for older kids and perhaps have staff on duty to supervise, which would make families with children feel more at ease. Overall, the minor flaws didn't detract from the experience, and both the value for money and the overall experience were excellent. I highly recommend staying here!

The hotel environment is great, and the rooms are large, spacious, and get excellent natural light. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, which is a plus. The staff's service attitude is fantastic; they were very professional and quick with check-in and check-out. I had a very comfortable stay. Parking is convenient nearby, and there's a large supermarket. The breakfast is rich, including some local specialties as well as Chinese and Western options. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time.

We stayed in a twin room with our seven-month-old baby, and it was very safe since we could push the two beds together, so we didn't have to worry about her falling off. Being right by the sea was super convenient for our baby's first beach trip. Ms. Serena at reception was incredibly patient and helpful throughout our two-day stay. We'll definitely choose Haitien again next time we visit Qingdao!

The hotel environment is acceptable. I give it 5 points because Zhang Xiu'e from the catering department provides excellent service. In addition, the guest room facilities are unreasonable. 1. There is no extra two-phase power socket next to the table. It is awkward to plug in a table lamp and a router. 2. The switch control panel cannot control the bathroom light separately unless the master control is pressed. Once the master control is pressed, all the lights in the room will be turned on. 3. There is no hair dryer socket in the bathroom. The razor socket cannot handle the power of the hair dryer. There is also a knob next to it that makes no sense. The two-phase plugs are located at the bedside and the mini bar, which is not suitable for drying hair. 4. The bedside table is too old and looks awkward. 5. The bathroom floor drain should be self-sealing. The problem is that the water pressure needs to exceed the self-sealing force to start draining. The water will accumulate in the side trough until it submerges the slippers worn in the shower and soaks my feet. . . Then it starts to drain. . . I don't expect the hotel to improve. This is just a personal suggestion.

GGuest UserThe hotel is great, with a good location and facilities, very close to Baotu Spring. Across the street is Henglong Plaza. However, the service has its own unique style. Shangri-La requires a deposit for guests, and for breakfast, you need to show your room card and state your name. What I disliked the most was the constant knocking on the door by staff. I didn't want to use the 'do not disturb' sign, but then there was knocking for laundry, water refills, and various other reasons. If they need something, they should call. I've never seen staff carrying water bottles around, knocking on every door to ask if guests need water – that's a bit odd. The room had already been cleaned and tidied, so why do they keep doing this?
GGuest UserIt's rare to feel such a strong urge to leave a positive review right after checking in, but this hotel truly exceeded my expectations! I had a 23-hour layover in Qingdao and wanted to catch the sunrise by the sea. I didn't have high hopes for the hotel initially, and although I missed the sunrise, the hotel experience was amazing. I got a late check-in and was upgraded to a king room with a terrace, which was incredibly comfortable. They even helped me with laundry, drying my clothes and delivering them right to my door. All the staff members provided excellent service. I felt like I was getting a thousand-dollar experience for only a hundred! The robot delivery for food was prompt, and the hotel environment is also very nice. It's just a few hundred meters from the subway station, so the location is easy to find. Atour Light gets a big thumbs up!
GGuest UserMy business stay here was excellent, a full five-star rating! The facilities are well-equipped and of high quality; all hardware is functioning perfectly, fully meeting both business and residential needs and ensuring a comfortable experience. The service team is professional and standardized, with efficient and orderly reception procedures. The F&B staff demonstrated a strong service ethic, proactively offering assistance and handling requests promptly and appropriately. Environmental hygiene management is well-regulated; both guest rooms and public areas are thoroughly cleaned and neatly organized, creating an elegant and spotless environment that instilled a strong sense of security. The breakfast planning was thoughtful, with a rich variety of dishes prepared from high-quality ingredients. The cooking was superb, balancing nutrition and taste to cater to different dietary preferences. Overall, both the service and amenities are top-notch. This is an excellent choice for business trips and leisure travel, and I will continue to choose this hotel and recommend it to colleagues.

GGuest UserI didn't book a hotel near the sea during the peak holiday. This hotel is a little far away, across a street, but it's still close to the beach. You can see a little bit of the sea from the upper floors, but it's mainly blocked by high-rise buildings in front. The hotel rooms are large, clean and tidy, the beds and pillows are very comfortable, and although the facilities are a little old, it's still good overall, especially the thick door of the room with good sound insulation.
GGuest UserDefinitely not a 5 star hotel they claim to be on Trip.com.
The first room we were checked-in had a broken window that couldn’t be opened and the reception didn’t know about it, although the window was closed with a tape and they should have known that this room had a problem. There were not many guests in the hotel and plenty of rooms to be offered.
In the next room we found out that the show was out of hot water. The problem was with the central supply system and instead of repairing it themselves, the hotel engineer was coming to our room claiming that we should discharge water for 5-10 minutes before hot water starts coming out. This kept going for almost an hour, we were tired and wanted to sleep because it was late evening. The problem didn’t require our assistance because the problem was with the whole hot water supply system, not with our exact room.
Also, they brought us a small heater to the room which I was surprised about, but then I understood that it was because the air-conditioner which had a heater mode, didn’t work well. I doubt that the hotel would have enough heaters for all rooms in case they had more guests. Without the heater it was quite cold in the room.
Next morning the house keeper came at 9-30 am!!!Which is insane. We were sleeping. I’ve never encountered a hotel at which the house keeper came that early and disturbed the guests.
Finally when leaving the hotel, we wanted to take those one-time use sleepers with us to use during the flight and found out to our surprise, that for 4 days we were living in the hotel sleepers were not changed even once. I called the reception, it was early morning (like 6-30 am) and they told me that the house keeper will bring us the sleepers when she comes to work. I told that we were leaving already and the reception promised to bring the sleepers asap. 10 minutes later nobody came and we went to check-out. At the check-out I asked for the sleepers again and told the receptionist that the taxi has almost arrived, so that she could bring us the sleepers first and then proceed with the check-out. She didn’t listen to me, still first processed the check-out and only after it went for the sleepers. So it basically took me half an hour and my nerves to get the sleepers that were supposed to be in my room from the very beginning.
The general manager talked to us after the case with the hot water and the house keeper coming early in the morning. He was very polite, but this doesn’t eliminate the fact that basic services in this hotel leave much to be desired.
On the plus side, very comfortable beds and clean spacious room.

GGuest UserThe best place for a calm vacation on a beach for a affordable price.
This was a nice little hotel standing right in front of a beach. The placement can be seen as perfect as this large beach is wonderful itself and much better then the beaches at the city center. The only inconvenience to consider when choosing this or nearby hotels is lack of cafes and restorans nearby, so you'd better take breakfasts in the hotel, they were not bad, tasty and very filing, with serveral options to choose from. For other places to eat, except for a two nearby costly restorans, you'll have to wark to find one about 1-1,5 km or more. If you want to spend more time in the city center consider also the time to travel to it, about 1,5 hours on a bus, 30-50 minutes on taxi.
The service was decent, even though stuff does not speak english they were very welcome and supportive, helping me and calling taxi a couple of times when I needed it.
The hotel itself is clean. The room was cleaned daily, not perfectly as the floors in the room stayed a bit dusty all the time but that was not too much of an issue. The bedding was always clean, towels were clean as well and changed daily.
I have to say a few words about the beach and the see themselves. The beach is large and clean, there are trash bins which are cleaned daily. It have a sand of very good quality, indeed of a golden color. The beach longs for several kilometers and is from about 150 meters wide to 200+ meters wide depending on the tides. The beach is shallow but no too much, you can easily walk to a place where you can swim freely. It was August and the water was extremely warm and cozy. It was clean with little human made trash coming from the see, but due to temperature the water near the shore start blooming on a second or third day of my stay there. I had to walk 10-15 meters in a 50-80 centimeters deep water full of seaweed before I come to clear waters. I bit unpleasant but not a big deal. There were some jelly fish coming the shore, the see doesn't have dangerous ones though. The beach has some infrastructure, at least there is a place to wash your hands and legs and there are public toilets nearby the beach, but there are no safeguards on it. With an chinese specifics I would say that's a plus as they are too restrictive and protective here.

FFrom a SingaporeanThe positive attitude and service performance of the staff ranging from front desk, concierge/security to breakfast restaurant and house keeping is excellent. The classic hotel personal service with a modern twist makes the stay a memorable experience. On my check-in, Ms Xiao Jiao and Ms Xiao Cong gave me and explained briefly the leaflet on the hotel’s suggested tourist attractions in Yantai. They also enthusiastically exchanged small RMB notes with me. They also gave me a piece of mooncake of my choice (and during my check-out too). The restaurant staff is attentive, replenishing food and drinks and attending to requests promptly. Due to my lack of command of Mandarin and accent, the chef cooked the wanton instead of the mackerel dumplings for me, he immediately served me the dumplings when he realised the miscommunication. The next morning, after serving me the mackerel dumplings, he, I think, recognised me, suggested I could add soup and condiments to the dumplings. I find their fleshly cooked dumplings are even better than the dumplings from the most famous dumplings restaurant in Yantai. The concierge staff on 2 days helped me book taxi using her phone app, paying in advance on my behalf as booking via internet cannot be settled in cash. The concierge/front desk lent me umbrella without question.
After a delayed and tiring flight, Mr Xiao Gao brought me to my room and explained the mechanics of the switches in the room. There was a hand-written welcome note from Ms Liu, with 2 cups of white fungus/goji drink beside it. The drink together with the note and fruits in the room, not only soothed my dry throat but also lifted the mood. House keeping provided fruits, white fungus/goji drink and dried chrysanthemum/rose flowers (to prepare for drinking) and 4 bottles (500 ml) of water daily, with up to 14 bottles at the lift lobby on my floor, and guests can also request house keeping for more bottles. On my check out day, during my breakfast, they left at the door handle, a bag of goodies, fruits and bottles of water and souvenirs (4 key chains with various types of sea shells), together with a hand-written farewell/bon voyage note from Ms Liu. Well done The Center Hotel staff, you are a pride to the hotel, the hospitality industry and Yantai!

EEvoFunkHonest Review of The Madison Hotel, Jinan – Good but Not 4-Star Standard
According to Trip.com’s grading system, The Madison Hotel is listed as a Trip Plus 4-star hotel, but based on our recent stay, we believe it falls short of that rating. While we had a mostly pleasant experience, there were noticeable issues that prevent us from agreeing with the 4-star classification.
The Positives
- Check-in & Staff: The reception team was friendly, and one staff member could communicate a little in English, which was helpful.
- Room Comfort: Our room was spacious and nicely decorated, with a very comfortable bed. The air conditioning worked well and allowed individual adjustment.
- Amenities: We appreciated the complimentary bottled waters and two soft drinks restocked daily in the fridge.
- Location: The hotel is conveniently located inside Wanda Mall, making shopping and dining easily accessible.
The Negatives (Why It’s Not 4-Star)
- Cleanliness Issues: The room wasn’t cleaned to a 4-star (or even 3-star) standard. We found nail clippings on the bedside mat, indicating poor vacuuming.
- Shower Water Pressure: The water pressure in the shower was quite low, which was inconvenient.
- Breakfast Limitations: While the Asian food options were good, there were very few Western choices. Additionally, the Western cutlery felt sticky and wasn’t properly cleaned.
- Staff Sleeping at Reception: On our second morning, when we tried to check out early, the reception staff were asleep on the couches. We understand they may have been exhausted, but this is unprofessional for a 4-star hotel.
Final Verdict
The Madison Hotel is a decent option, but we’d rate it as a solid 3-star hotel, not 4-star. If you prioritize location and comfort over luxury service and cleanliness, it’s a reasonable choice. However, management should address housekeeping and staff training to meet higher standards.
Would we stay again? Possibly, but with adjusted expectations.
Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5) – Good, but not 4-star.
