Everyone who appreciates traditional culture dreams of having their own courtyard – with tall trees, a cat napping beneath them, and birds chirping in the branches. During leisure time, sitting alone in the courtyard, sipping tea and reading, living as freely as the clouds.

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is good, easy access from main road to get big bags to it and also to go around the ancient city both during day and night time to enjoy all the landmarks.
Missing signages make it a bit difficult to find the hotel at first. Also, while we had paid for a bigger rooms the room barely had walking space. It had no luggage storage space or cabinet. The washroom and room floor was not cleaned.
Staff on the other hand are very friendly and willing to help with all the questions - on local travel, places to see, vegetarian food, etc. They find a way to help to the best.
All in all was a good experience and would have been better with some adjustments.

GGuest UserOverall, my impression of this hotel is that it's a slightly upscale budget hotel. The service is four-star, and they offer shuttle service to and from the station. At around 400 yuan a night, it's considered high-end in Linfen.
**Pros:** The service is excellent and highly commendable. The station shuttle service is very thoughtful, and the car was comfortable. The complimentary welcome fruit was a nice, warm touch. The separate toilet, sink, and shower area is a great feature.
**Areas for Improvement:** The air conditioning was quite noisy. The 'river view' room didn't really offer much of a river view, though I could see a bridge. The breakfast quality should be improved to match the four-star service. For instance, the freshly squeezed soy milk was too thick, indicating too few soybeans were used, and the quality of the pastries needs to be better.

XXiaosongshubaluoboThe hotel's service and environment are absolutely fantastic! The room was spotless, and it had all the amenities you'd expect from a five-star hotel. During our stay, we received complimentary fruits and snacks, and every evening they even brought us pear soup, which was a lovely touch. There are free self-service drinks in the hotel lobby. The hotel price was excellent too! The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, making our stay with a child completely hassle-free. One night, after visiting Hengshan Hanging Temple, my child fell asleep in the car and I couldn't wake them up. The staff member on duty that night was incredibly kind and helped carry my child back to the room! The service here is truly outstanding!!

AAnonymous UserThis is by far the best value five-star hotel in Taiyuan. The management is well-organized, and the hygiene is consistently excellent, making you feel right at home. Both the facilities and services are well-maintained. The surrounding area offers a complete range of commercial amenities and convenient transportation, with a subway entrance right next to the hotel. Tianmei and Beimei New World shopping centers are just next door. Overall, it's great value for money. The only minor drawback is that it's an older hotel and could use a full renovation. Given that Shanxi is a strong tourist province, a refurbishment would certainly justify a price increase.

GGuest UserI stayed at the Tingbo Hotel, and the location is absolutely fantastic, right at the entrance of the scenic area. You can step out and start exploring immediately, which is incredibly convenient. The room was spotless, so clean you could see your reflection, and the bed was super soft – I woke up feeling completely refreshed. The front desk staff were wonderful, always patiently answering my questions, truly thoughtful. I especially loved the hotel's decor style; it's very unique. Every corner is meticulously arranged and looks amazing in photos. Plus, the hotel service was excellent; it was such a pleasant stay. The value for money at this hotel is incredible. The price wasn't expensive, but the service and facilities were outstanding. It felt like a great deal. The hotel is clean, and its location near the north gate of the ancient city means you can walk everywhere, which is very convenient. I'll definitely come back next time.

Ffv_liuThe hotel's location is excellent, very close to the snack street, Bell Tower shopping area, and Liuxiang commercial district, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The Jin Merchants Museum (former Governor's Mansion) is also within walking distance of the hotel.
The thoughtful touches like the 'Cozy Teahouse - Afternoon Tea Time' (including a pot of tea) and the coffee were much appreciated.
We also enjoyed the 'Immersive Experience: Journey through a Jin Merchant Mansion with Free Young Mistress Attire'.
Plus, there's a very friendly cat named 'Facai' in the hotel lobby!

RRichard76ukThis weekend, I had the pleasure of staying at the Great Palace Hotel in Datong, and I must say it was an incredible experience from the moment we arrived. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, checking us in quickly and even upgrading us to the best available room. To our surprise, we were greeted with a thoughtful welcome that included a fresh fruit basket, traditional Chinese soup, and complimentary tea.
The hotel offers an impressive breakfast selection, catering to both local and international tastes. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and the beds are incredibly comfortable—making it easy to unwind after a day of sightseeing.
This was my second time staying at the Great Palace Hotel, and once again, it exceeded expectations. Its location is ideal—right in the heart of the city, close to all major tourist attractions and just a few kilometers from the train station. Special thanks to Manager 崔经理, who was exceptionally kind and helpful throughout our stay. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Datong.
What truly sets this hotel apart is the attention to detail and the genuine hospitality of the staff. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or returning guest, the service remains consistently high. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between traditional charm and modern comfort, making it a reliable choice for both leisure and business travelers. From check-in to check-out, every aspect of our stay was smooth, relaxing, and enjoyable.

AAnonymous User對於渾源縣物價來説，這個房價委實有點高，畢竟五一也可以理解，但是後來發現比渾源的四星級酒店房價還高。樓下的餐飲好像很有名，很多人在吃飯。但是攜程上的外觀圖應該改一下，有點誤導消費者，我一開始還以為這酒店外觀顏值很高才選者的。前台感覺就是餐飲的收費處，門面不像酒店住宿。感覺不太好，房間內部倒是挺乾淨，還可以看到衡山。

Parking is convenient, making it ideal for guests traveling by car. The hotel is very new, with well-equipped rooms and a simple yet elegant decor. It's exceptionally clean, and the breakfast is extensive, featuring both Western and Chinese options, as well as local Shanxi specialties. The front desk service was excellent; they thoughtfully upgraded my room. Everything was thoroughly satisfying, and I'll definitely choose the Nanzhonghuan Intercity Hotel again on my next visit to Taiyuan.
