The hotel was inflexible about changing rooms unless it was the same room type. However, the location is great. I'd choose to stay here again next time for several reasons. First, it's very close to Solaniwa Onsen, which is open from 11 AM to 11 PM. This is a perfect option for those with an early check-out and a late flight. Second, there are a few good restaurants nearby, located on the upper floor of the mall between the hotel and Solaniwa Onsen (see attached photos). Third, the city view from the 51st floor during breakfast or dinner is absolutely worth checking out. Fourth, you can take the subway directly to Kansai Airport without any transfers. Just pay attention to the announcements; about two stops before the airport, the train splits, so make sure you're in the correct car. The front desk also has staff who speak Chinese!

I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Eins Kadoma. The hotel feels new, clean, and well-maintained. The room is quite spacious compared to many hotels in Japan, providing enough space for luggage and comfortable movement. Facilities are quite complete — there’s a coin laundry, vending machines, and basic amenities provided in the room, making it convenient for both short and longer stays. The location is excellent — just a short walk to the nearby shopping mall and train station, which makes travelling around very convenient. There are also several family-style restaurants in the surrounding area, so finding meals is easy. The nearest Family Mart is about a 10-minute walk away. Overall, it’s a comfortable and practical hotel with good value for money. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Kadoma who prefers a quiet stay but still wants easy access to shops and transportation.

The hotel is visible right after exiting the south gate of Sakai Station, about a 300-meter walk away. The south exit has a supermarket and many izakayas nearby. The north exit has a small shopping mall with plenty of food options, about a 500-meter walk to the hotel. The hotel's ground floor provides makeup remover, facial cleanser, toner, and lotion, which I found quite effective, even with my sensitive skin. The room looked exactly like the pictures; what you see is what you get with many things there. The room has hangers and a humidifier. A stroll along the port downstairs is also very pleasant. The bathroom was a bit small, but overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

The Executive Room was clean and spacious! The front desk staff was very helpful and gave me directions to Osaka Castle Park. In the evening, I enjoyed the outdoor onsen, which was super relaxing and helped me unwind after a long day.

It's a bit of a walk from the subway station. It's actually more around Nihonbashi. It's close to the Tanico store, and convenient for taking the Nankai line to the airport. Just be aware that the hotel doesn't provide complimentary water. Otherwise, the staff attitude was great, and the duvet and pillows were incredibly comfortable.

The location is excellent, about a 10-minute walk from Shinsaibashi subway station. Shinsaibashisuji is right downstairs, making for seamless shopping. There are also ramen shops, convenience stores, and drugstores on the ground floor, so all your dining, drinking, and shopping needs are covered. The hygiene and service are also top-notch. My only gripe is the common issue with Japanese hotels: the triple room is just a modified double, so the space is very small, and there's no room to even open a suitcase. Other than that, it was great!

Completely exceeded my expectations! The lobby decor is grand yet cozy 🏡, and the bellhop was super enthusiastic about helping with luggage 🧳. The room's soundproofing was so good I couldn't hear any noise 🤫, and waking up to the morning sun was incredibly refreshing 🌞. Checkout was super fast, no long waits ⌛. Highly recommended!

The room was incredibly spacious. Although it was listed as 22 square meters, it felt even larger than a typical Hanting Premium room in China. We could easily open two suitcases without them getting in the way at all. The bathroom wasn't those integrated, plastic-y types; both the bathtub and shower fixtures felt quite high-quality. The bed was a bit small, I'd estimate around 1.6m (but for two people, it's fine if you don't toss and turn much). The hotel has two communal laundry rooms, costing 500 yen for a wash and dry cycle, which was very convenient. There are also vending machines where you can buy drinks anytime. The room had a small window.

I highly recommend opting for the Executive Twin Room. The size and layout are much more suitable and comfortable. The standard room feels a bit lacking, haha. 😂 A big thanks to the Trip.com customer service for helping communicate with the hotel and resolving my issue!

The hotel's surroundings are excellent, with convenient transportation; there are 3 subway stations within 1 km. However, I did notice some discrimination against Chinese guests, especially from the breakfast restaurant staff. Their service attitude clearly differed between Chinese guests and Caucasians. While it might not bother everyone, it was noticeable. Overall, this hotel is still worth staying at. The room cleaning was also very good and timely.

MMeitounaohahahahaThis is one of the few hotels in Japan with a 12 PM checkout, which is great. There's a Christmas tree downstairs that adds a lovely atmosphere. We went to the theme park on our second day, and this hotel is the closest one to it – the entrance is right downstairs! Food options are also very convenient. I highly recommend the fried beef cutlet, it was absolutely delicious! Our clothes got soaked on the Jurassic ride, which was totally unexpected, but thankfully we could just pop back to the hotel to change. You just need to get a stamp from the staff at the entrance to re-enter the park. I hope to bring my kids here next time and will definitely stay here again!

MMengmengmamaChoosing InterContinental Osaka was hands down the smartest decision I made! The location is absolutely phenomenal! A shopper's paradise! Major malls and flagship stores are right downstairs, making it incredibly convenient to get all your favorite items in one go! The rooms are incredibly spacious! In Japan, where space is a premium, the InterContinental's rooms feel like a true luxury. We booked a king room and even added an extra bed, and it still didn't feel cramped at all! The bathroom was also large and bright, and being able to lie down and gaze at Osaka's vibrant cityscape made it absolutely worth it! The service was exceptionally thoughtful! From check-in to check-out, every single staff member was polite, attentive, and incredibly detail-oriented. The front desk, housekeeping, concierge... even the parking and luggage storage services were absolutely faultless! When checking out, they even proactively offered to weigh my luggage. The most delightful surprise was when a staff member wished me ”Gong Xi Fa Cai” in Chinese – it felt so incredibly welcoming! It truly proved to be a brilliant choice to stay at InterContinental Osaka! Next time I'm in Osaka, I'm definitely booking this place again!

VVinzy NgGood hotel with spa with mediocre services.  The room was neat, clean and feeling new.  However, staffs are not familiar with English, not even talking Mandarin. Using the translator with poor voice input was troublesome and sometimes it interpreted wrong meanings. Room service if missed will not be provided again on that day. Also, there were many spa-only visitors simply lying on the spa floor.  Parts of the male spa were under construction and one night there were no 40 degree Celsius or higher pool as they were all under cleaning at the same time. The ground of the spa was very slippery, mostly because many visitors did not bother to rinse themselves well after using the conditioner. The breakfast buffet is good in terms of food choices and environment. But I dislike the scrambled eggs, which had a texture tasted awful.

GGrace 恩雅After staying in a cheaper APA hotel in Tokyo, my partner and I were looking forward to a higher-end stay at the Mercure in Osaka. It was... okay. I'll start with the positives: the proximity to Dotonbori is the biggest plus. It's about a 3-minute walk to the main canal *****. The hotel is separated from the peak tourism chaos by a few streets, so it isn't too overwhelmingly busy around the hotel itself. Convenient FamilyMart and 7-Eleven options are nearby, as you'd expect. The room was clean. The Italian restaurant on the 2nd floor was also quite lovely and well-priced. Now the negatives. First, the lighting was so dim in the hallways and the room itself that it was less ”pleasant mood lighting” and more ”I can't see anything/do my makeup.” I actually thought some of the lightbulbs were blown, but my partner pointed out they were just absurdly dim. Secondly, the door to the bathroom/shower was broken and wouldn't stay shut, so we had to use a few heavy items on the floor to keep it closed. Some of the USB outlets were also non-functioning. Thirdly - and this may be our fault - the washer-dryer combo machine in our room (which was a big reason for us booking this hotel) was finicky to use and only had Japanese labels/instructions. The room guide on the smart TV did have some instructions, but we struggled to operate the machine regardless. Then, after we worked it out, the drying cycle shrunk and heavily wrinkled our clothes. This wouldn't be the end of the world, but the room had no iron or ironing board. You have to go to reception to hire an iron separately or use the ”iron room,” which we never saw the inside of because it was locked every time we tried the door. None of these drawbacks were trip-ruining or anything, and in a cheaper 3-star hotel, we wouldn't be clutching our pearls about it. But because this is a pricier 4-star, internationally-known hotel brand, we expected more. Overall, the stay was not unpleasant, but it was nothing to write home about either.

AAmarFromUKLocation: Next to Bentencho station so easy access to Osaka loop line and Chuo Line for Subway and Rail. Really good location even though it's not central Osaka. The advantage is that you can still get everywhere within 10-20mins and the surrounding area is clean and safe and quiet. There is a 7-11 next door and a commercial gym (charged at 1650 per day) Negatives are there is not much to do in the evenings. But this leads to the quietness of the area and is an advantage Hotel Room: We stayed in double room and it was large. Nice comfortable bed with good pillows. The AC was modern and good and did not make noise even while we were asleep. The room is cleaned daily (tidy and new towels) with new sheets every 3 days. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided. The room was also very clean. The bed has USB and chargers on either side of it. There is space to hang clothes But the room is really nice. We always were glad to come back to a very clean and tidy place. The TV has English menus but we never watched anything. Negatives are the fridge could be colder and the bathroom sink has a tiny slope on it so you cannot place product on the sink but you have a shelf above the sink for this. Very slight negatives for what is a great place to stay Hotel features: Excellent. Great laundry room with several washers & dryers. Trouser presses, vending machine and ice machine. A rooftop terrace with good views. The breakfast is free and is underwhelming, just different bread and pastries with choices of juice, soups, water and yogurt. It's acceptable and I guess it's free. The hotel lobby has little items you can take if needed, such as hair bands, toothbrushes, razor kits but something nice was that they give you bath bombs for free too. Different ones each day. Staff: Very friendly and helpful, even after midnight when I made requests they were very fast and helpful Overview: 100% would stay here again. The price-to-quality ratio and the large room size make this an easy choice. Do not worry about location, I stayed it Dontonburi area before and alothgh its close to everything, its loud, dirty and feels unsafe. But the location of Porta Inn is really good and super easy to get to central areas (around 10-20mins) and easy to get to the airport (direct line) and easy to get to Universal Studios too.

GGuest UserEverything about this hotel is brilliant. Although breakfast is not included, it can be purchased and is very reasonably priced. Quite close to English breakfast except no toast. There is French bread which is sweet. Plenty of fruit also. Unlimited tea, coffee and hot chocolate all day. The rooms are spotless and the whole hotel is like a new build. (Maybe it is) There is entertainment most nights in the lounge except when there is a DJ, which is not really entertainment. No mixing or dance. No lights either and no communication with the audience. (Which is very small). The hotel is above Kitahama station which is handy, if you can work out the rail and subway system. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We extended our stay three times which says a lot. You won’t be disappointed staying here.

DDangdixiangdaosumetzhaoxmThis five-star hotel, with over 30 years of history, is nestled between Hankyu and Umeda. The doorman's service was excellent, truly making guests feel at home. We booked a quad room with two generously sized beds. The bathroom was quite spacious, and compared to other hotels we stayed at in Japan this trip, despite the slightly older toilet, it was still very good overall. The hotel service was great, and housekeeping was thorough. There are several restaurants to choose from within the hotel, but just across the street, along the subway line, there's a fantastic food street with many small eateries worth trying.

LLizzie_8181Excellent location above Osaka Takashimaya, linked to Namba Station directly by lift. Getting to the hotel was abit confusing using google maps until we figured it out. Overall their location makes for ease of shopping & convenient offload the bags in the hotel room. The check in desk was very professional & the bath tub was European size (we booked twin beds). Of the 3 hotels that we booked in Osaka (&Here Namba, Universal Port Vita, Swissotel), Swissotel was the only hotel that could read & execute our consistent requests to push the twin beds together so our toddler could sleep in the middle. Thumbs up for their professionalism. There was also a pair of kid slippers laid out for our kid. There is a friendly hotel bar (free entry, subject to opening hours in afternoon) on level 9 that allows one to play retro video games like Mario & board games etc. Our kid throughly enjoyed their hotel bar games. As Swissôtel is a business hotel, there is no water pitcher in the room & no ice dispenser room. The toilet is a combined one-room facility. However, the rooms are quiet, the water pressure is great & everyone slept really well. Thanks Swissotel

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, just a 5-minute walk right next to Osaka Station. Umeda offers plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. For those coming from Kansai Airport, simply take the limousine bus, get off at the second stop, and it's only a 7-8 minute walk to the hotel. I absolutely love this area and will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.
