Stayed here for 7 nights in a Superior golden horn king size room and found our experience to be okay. I am a bit divided on how to write this review, since we had a good stay but with soo many minor ”things”. When my partner arrived at check in time, the room wasn't ready. He waited about 45min longer before he was able to check in. • The room: Upon checking in we noticed that the doorlock was busted and asked reception to fix this. (This was very quickly repaired after asking) The handsoap wasn't refilled between guests, we had to mention this to reception. We noticed that they clean the bathroom with a substance that leaves greasy marks, so even though your bathroom is ”cleaned”, it doesn't always look like it. The tiny mirror and the hairdryer socket flap were both dirty after checking in and not cleaned in any of the days that we were there. The shower glass isn't extended too far, so be prepared that when you shower the floor will get quite wet. Housekeeping doesn't restock any teas during a 7day stay. If you fancy something that you've finished, you need to ask reception to stock it again. They did restock our water every day though, so I'm not sure why they'd only do it halfway. The bathroom door isn't actually a solid door but two halves. Which is okay, but if you don't like to hear your partner in the bathroom or on the toilet- you might have an issue with this. The room had 1/2 a view of the elevator, the other half was of the river, the bridge and the mosques. (View was decent) Maybe the most important lack of this room: the matrass. There is nothing actually wrong with the bed itself besides the mattress splitting in half at times. However the mattress itself is past its due date. It had such a hole in the middle of too many people having slept in it. It was quite hard to sometimes get comfortabele since you aren't well aligned, it ended up giving me a little neck ache. • The location: The location of this hotel is great. You are near the Galata area and tower, you can easily walk down towards the water and bridge (both sides). And there is plenty to see and do within a 30min walk- area. The hotel is located semi at the bottom of the hill. If you fancy getting to Galata tower, be prepared for a steep- but beautiful walk up. Plenty of good restaurants near this hotel or only a short taxi drive away. • The service Reception as well as the waitstaff are lovely. If there is anything- they'll fix it for you. They are always willing to help and they get it sorted as quickly as they can. • The buffet The majority of the photo's I'm posting with this review will be of the buffet. I've noticed that there arent many photos online of it and I think it could be a selling point for foreigners to choose this hotel. They have a range of pastries and breads every morning. Boiled eggs and a selection of warm dishes. They have their salad and fruit bar with yoghurts available. And their cheeses and meats to fit any dish. They have an egg service where you can order eggs to your liking with table service. They also provide coffees as per table service too. Service during breakfast hours is lovely and they try to memorise your orders. We noticed a (relatively new to Hospitality) Turkish guy working there, and he always made us feel welcomed. Even though we doesn't speak a word of English. Reason for me finding it difficult to write this review is: The standard in Turkey is a bit older than in other places in the world. I feel like we paid a significant amount of money for this room, but got outdated quality? I wouldn't say this is a 5 star hotel, not even 4 stars to be honest. However, for the quality standard in Turkey I do believe that this considered to be a good hotel. We enjoyed our stay here, but aren't necessarily too sure it is priced accordingly to it's quality. I'm giving it 4 stars due to the location and the service, but am not convinced it's fully worth the price you pay.

Pros: 1. The breakfast offers a mix of traditional Turkish breakfast and Western options, with a great variety of cheeses and plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. 2. Although the room is small, it's very tidy and clean. It gets cleaned daily, and the bed sheets are changed every day. 3. The location is excellent. It's within walking distance of Yedikule Fortress and Marble Tower, and only an 8-minute walk to the sea. 4. The surrounding area is a residential neighborhood with schools, making it very quiet. 5. The hotel's Wi-Fi is super fast and never lags. Areas for improvement: 1. It would be great if there was an airport shuttle service.

Wonderful location. It's tough with luggage going up and down the stairs, so a transfer is definitely needed. The view from the restaurant terrace is stunning, especially in the evening. We booked this hotel specifically for that view. The pool is small, and a swim cap is mandatory; you'll have to buy one if you don't have one. I wasn't a fan of the massage; it was given by a man, and the price was steep. The sauna and hammam were a nice bonus. The pillows and bed were very comfortable – perfect for relaxing after a day of walking around. Breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend!

My first night was a disaster because my room's power supply kept cutting off and they took almost 3 to 4 hours to fix it, due to that I couldn't sleep the whole night and my morning plans got wasted too. I asked the hotel manager Mr.Arda to give me an extra night, (he refused), airport transfer on my checkout date , (he refused) , room upgrade, (he refused) , Then Mr Arda promised us a complimentary dinner at the rooftop restaurant and that was amazing .My initial plan was to stay 3 nights but then I extended it for 2 more nights because of 1 man Mr.Karem at the reception , the nicest guy of the hotel , Mr.Karem and Mr.Arda helped us alot and supported us in every aspect, but sorry to say all the other staff members there had just 1 answer. im sorry we cannot help you we cannot help you , I'll definitely visit again, Thanks to Mr.Arda and Mr.Karem ❤️ and lastly thanks to Mr.Servet who told us about the free shuttle service provided by the hotel which takes us to Taksim . Istanbul's Old City gem! This hotel truly hits the spot! **Amenities:** The hotel is very new and modern. Although the room is small, it has everything you need, and even a small balcony with a great view. There's also a resident cat NPC always by the entrance! **Cleanliness:** The room is very clean, and the bedding is excellent. **Service:** The front desk staff are incredibly warm and welcoming. When our taxi stopped at the metro station at the intersection, someone immediately came out to help us with our luggage. Yigi THAN, one of the staff members, checked us in, showed us the room's facilities, and even saw us off to our car when we left, all without expecting a tip. Right next to the hotel is the Governor's Office, guarded by armed bodyguards, so safety is absolutely top-notch! The surrounding area has plenty of businesses, and it's within walking distance to all the major attractions and the seaside. Plus, there are two fantastic cafes right outside, perfect for breakfast.

Very outdated hotel - the interior felt eerie. We stayed in a non-smoking room that smelled like smoke at night. Our shower drain was clogged and would flood (this was fixed however it is not expected of any hotel, let alone a 5 star). Gym was small and equipment is old. Sauna wasn’t working properly - not hot enough. However, staff were friendly and welcoming, and hotel location was convenient if you want to take the tram to tourist sites or walk around the shops, restaurants, etc. Overall, I don’t think this is a 5 star hotel. I would not stay there again or recommend it to anyone looking for a 5 star hotel.

An amazing experience! The hotel's location is superb, just a few minutes' walk from Dolmabahçe Palace. You can walk to the seaside and it's very close to the pier, perfect for evening sightseeing cruises. The service was also excellent and comprehensive. On the hotel's L level, there are Michelin-starred restaurants, including Turkish, Italian, and Japanese options, which is very convenient. The hotel's views are also fantastic, with different room types offering various views, so you can choose according to your preference!

The hotel is decent, though I’d say it’s a 3-star property rather than a 5-star one. I wouldn't recommend the breakfast at all. The rooms are spacious; we booked a family suite and were told it included two large beds and two small ones, but we were disappointed to find only one large bed and two small ones. As for the reception staff, some were helpful while others were not—they lacked a friendly demeanor.

This hotel is located about 8 kilometers from the exhibition center in Turkey. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and there's a shopping mall right next to it, with many ATMs in the vicinity. The hotel room was spacious and very clean, practically a one-bedroom suite. Breakfast was decent, but my only complaint would be the pillows. They were too hard and high, feeling like they were filled with plastic. It would be much better if they offered latex pillows.

Great stay at Aloft Karaköy — the location is unbeatable, right in the heart of everything with easy access to public transportations, cafés, restaurants, and the major attractions. Service was great — staff were friendly, helpful, and made the stay smooth. However, the room layout wasn’t the most practical. There’s a large central structure in the middle of the room, which makes the space feel smaller and a bit cramped, especially if you have luggage. Recommend to ask for other rooms without this. Overall, still a comfortable and stylish stay for the location, but the room design could be more functional.
