Hot Springs Hotels in Shanxi, China

The room was incredibly spacious, and the bathroom design was exceptionally convenient. The shower and toilet had a wooden door, and the sink was located outside with a small vanity mirror, making it very easy for everyone to use. The hotel is also very close to Daiwang Mansion, with many great restaurants nearby. The freshly prepared breakfast each morning was delicious. If we didn't go out in the afternoons, afternoon tea was provided. The environment was wonderful and very quiet. The service was outstanding, especially the front desk staff. The ladies and gentlemen at the front desk were all incredibly kind. Whenever we passed by, they would greet us. They were also very thoughtful, recommending local supermarkets and explaining everything in great detail. We really enjoyed the tea at afternoon tea, so we asked the front desk lady for a link to buy it. She was so nice and even gave us some, and then sent us the link the day after we checked out. They were truly incredibly attentive. When we first arrived, we were a bit early. The front desk gentleman greeted us at the entrance and directed us to parking, even sending us a video of the location. Once our room was ready, he also helped us bring up our luggage.

I found this guesthouse just 20 minutes before arriving in Pingyao. I contacted the owner and learned they offer pick-up and drop-off from the station. I thought 20 minutes wouldn't be enough time, but to my surprise, the owner immediately sent a housekeeper to pick us up in a Mercedes business van. They were incredibly efficient despite the short notice. The room was clean and tidy, and we even got a free upgrade to a larger one. The service quality was top-notch; they were constantly checking in to see if we needed anything. On the way to the guesthouse, they asked us what we wanted to drink, and when we arrived, our preferred welcome drinks were already prepared. There were also complimentary fruits and a specially prepared beverage waiting for us. I initially booked just one night, just to try it out, but I was so pleasantly surprised that I extended my stay for another night. All the staff were warm and attentive. I genuinely recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Pingyao.

Our group of four went to the Shanxi First Hot Spring Hotel, thinking it would be conveniently located within the Wang Family Courtyard. We ended up loving it! The hotel environment was superb! 👍🏻 Getting up early to climb the city wall and see the swirling mist was like stepping into a fairyland. The air was fresh, the hot spring water smooth, and the night view even more beautiful! Dinner was delicious, and breakfast was plentiful! Everyone is planning to come back! The manager, Xiao Wang, and my husband hit it off immediately, and he even gave us souvenir coins!

What drew me in was the martial arts theme; each room has its own unique style and the interior design is very thoughtfully done. The location is excellent – it's an easy walk to the snack street, but far enough from the noisy crowds that we got a great rest. The owner was incredibly warm and attentive, even giving us a small gift when we checked out. Thank you! Overall, everything was great. The only downside was that the room's air conditioning only offered heating and cooling, with no dehumidifying function. The windows were also sealed shut and couldn't be opened, so after using the hot spring and shower, the room became quite humid. I'd suggest the owner consider improving this; then it would be perfect.

The room still smells a little bit newly renovated. It is located on the bar street and it is very noisy. The front desk said that it will be arranged upstairs to make it less noisy, but the music in the bar next to it has been so loud that it makes people feel heartbroken. It has both points. Anyway, when I was lying on the bed, I regretted choosing this hotel. It's not close to the snack street, so you have to walk for a long time to get there. In short, except for those who like to stay up late at night, it's better to avoid lightning. The room facilities are okay, there is an automatic water dispenser, and the bath water is large, but the shower room and toilet are right next to the bed, which doesn't feel good. The so-called minibar snacks are just a pack of snacks.

My stay at Futiandahua Rain Hot Spring Hotel was absolutely fantastic! First off, the location is superb, right inside the ancient city. It's super close to where they do the iron flower show, which, by the way, is an absolute must-see. I'm getting on in years, but watching that show brought tears to my eyes; I was so moved by the performers' dedication and the incredible spectacle they put on. It's clear the hotel owner pays incredible attention to detail. My two girlfriends and I stayed in a triple room, and from the moment we walked into the lobby, we were gushing over the hotel's ambiance, the staff, and the room's decor. Every little detail was thoughtfully done. Even when we were heading out to explore the ancient city, the front desk proactively offered us a pack of tissues to take with us. The room itself was a standalone unit, so it was incredibly quiet. They delivered coffee and afternoon tea daily, and the fruit plate in the room was fresh. There was also a cooler in the lobby with bottled water available for guests. The whole room was smart-enabled with XiaoDu (a smart assistant), and the shower had great water pressure and was very comfortable, with a separate wet and dry area. Oh, one small thing: the trash can in the bathroom was a bit too small; I hope they can improve that. The private hot spring was amazing. After a full day of sightseeing, coming back to soak in the hot spring and chat was just pure bliss.

I've struck gold! This room is totally my style ✨ The minimalist Zen-inspired design is so appealing, the bedding is so comfortable I don't want to get out, and the bamboo bathtub is absolutely gorgeous. As someone who appreciates details, I felt incredibly safe and secure staying here. I'll definitely choose this place again next time!

The small yard in the ancient town of Zhangzhou is quiet and tidy, quiet and beautiful; the fish in the pool, the cat in the yard, and the rabbit in the cage are full of vitality everywhere; the staff in the hotel are warm and friendly.
