Our group of four went to the Shanxi First Hot Spring Hotel, thinking it would be conveniently located within the Wang Family Courtyard. We ended up loving it! The hotel environment was superb! 👍🏻 Getting up early to climb the city wall and see the swirling mist was like stepping into a fairyland. The air was fresh, the hot spring water smooth, and the night view even more beautiful! Dinner was delicious, and breakfast was plentiful! Everyone is planning to come back! The manager, Xiao Wang, and my husband hit it off immediately, and he even gave us souvenir coins!

I specifically booked a small courtyard room with a private hot spring. Unexpectedly, this impromptu decision turned out to be the perfect and unexpectedly perfect part of my trip. The moment I arrived, I was captivated: the bluestone path led the way inside, first around a small koi pond, and then around the corner, I stumbled upon a staircase and a library. The moment I opened the door to the small courtyard, I couldn't help but exclaim, ”Wow!” A few lush bamboos lined the courtyard, and the room boasted a private hot spring, a large bed with thick gauze curtains, and a small coffee table on the tatami mat nearby. Just thinking about sitting here sipping tea after a soak in the hot springs filled me with a sense of comfort. Even more heartwarming was the front desk attendant—seeing me carrying my luggage, the young man immediately came over to take it. Without waiting for me to ask, he proactively said, ”The courtyard you reserved is at the very back. We'll take you there.” He explained everything along the way, from how to use the private bathhouse and whether to add extra bedding to which mutton soup restaurant in the ancient city is the most authentic and the best photo spots with the lights on at night. He explained everything in detail, making it easier than having a travel guide. This little world in Xinzhou Ancient City, with its elegant pavilions and flowing water, and its cozy atmosphere, as well as its genuine hospitality, brought a heartwarming end to this prayer trip. It turns out that sometimes, not following the plan can lead to unexpected beauty!

It was very clean and nice. The staff was very considerate and enthusiastic. The most amazing thing was that the twin room we booked actually had a massage bed inside, which was equivalent to three beds. We had one bed for each of the three generations, so it was impossible for us to sleep uncomfortably. I just forgot to take pictures of the room and just enjoyed it. The breakfast was also good. I was really afraid that I would eat too much. As for the surrounding area, there is a super large Wanda Plaza and Yonghui Supermarket across the road. Datong is a cool city in summer. I will stay here again next time I come to escape the summer heat.

When I wanted to stay in the ancient city, my first consideration was parking. The hotel's own parking lot was my primary attraction. Secondly, the hotel's location is excellent, right next to Xiurong Academy. However, it's incredibly quiet at night. The front desk contacted me in advance and provided detailed directions. Upon arrival, we were escorted to the entrance by a barrier. The staff was already waiting in the parking lot, helping us with our luggage and checking us in. Our room had a circular hot spring bath, and the staff provided disposable bath bags and explained all the room amenities. When we checked out, the front desk even gave us corn grown by the owner. It was a truly heartwarming stay. I'll definitely be back.

This guesthouse exceeded my expectations; it's one of the best hotels I've stayed in in terms of detail and comfort. First, the location is incredibly convenient, just a short walk from the North Gate. Parking is easy, and it's only about a 10-minute walk to bustling areas like South Street. The hotel's decor is very stylish. I booked a two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite, which was incredibly comfortable and perfect for a family trip. The room had underfloor heating, which was very comfortable, and after a long day of sightseeing, I could relax right there – pure bliss! The hotel also paid great attention to detail, such as separate shower areas and disposable slippers, and provided disposable face towels. The service was excellent! They offer à la carte service from popular local restaurants, breakfast is served until noon and can be delivered directly to the room, afternoon desserts and fruits are provided, and hot milk is available in the evening. It's truly a great choice for a relaxing family trip!

Located within the ancient city, underground parking is convenient. It's within walking distance of places like the Prince Dai's Mansion and Huayan Temple. The architecture is antique and elegant, with courtyards that blend tranquility and activity, offering picturesque views at every turn. I especially loved the zero-pressure mattresses; they were so comfortable and relaxing. Direct drinking water systems replace traditional kettles, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene. The room even thoughtfully provides a humidifier to prevent dry skin. Enjoying a milk bubble bath in the bathtub was so relaxing. Complimentary drinks, afternoon tea, souvenirs, bead-making experiences… the service details are impeccable. Breakfast is served from 7:30 AM, featuring knife-cut noodles/wontons. A carefully prepared nine-compartment hot pot with balanced nutrition is also provided.

The environment is very good. It is really beautiful to go in this season. The space capsule is not bad to live in. The air is also very good. The space capsule is smart home. The front desk staff is very welcoming and will personally explain the hotel facilities and escort them to your room. They also give a small gift upon check-out. My whole family is very satisfied with this hotel and will stay again!
