The room was beautiful with a sea view, a tatami-style Japanese straw mat. The entrance area had a separate bathroom, sink, bathtub, and shower. The room was large enough to accommodate four or five people. I just stretched out on my back, which was so relaxing. There were bathrobes available for soaking in the ninth-floor hot springs. The facilities were a bit dated and self-service, so it was best to go with a group. The ninth floor was very quiet, with no one around, which was a bit...
Disadvantages: The hotel is located between Atagawa Station and Inatori Station. It's about 1.2 kilometers from Atagawa Station, with some downhill slopes and a coastal road, making it a bit arduous to walk with luggage. There are few restaurants or convenience stores nearby. At night, when I went downstairs, the road was dark and unlit, making it difficult to go out. It's best to stock up on food and water. The hotel offers a shuttle to the station, but please arrange with the front desk.
Great place. Super host! It was unexpected to meet someone with such perfect English in a Japanese village. He told us everything and showed us around! He was very polite and friendly. In the morning, he even drove us to the train station, for which we’re especially grateful. At this ryokan, you fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere, yet there’s also air conditioning. Another big plus is that they allow guests with tattoos. The hot spring offers a beautiful view! I highly recommend this place to everyone!
the servise is quite good and the reception staffs are responsive and helpful.
the scenery should be nice and can see the sea shore but given that I stayed in typhoon days, I can only show you some misty pics.
One pity thing is that it's a little bit dusty and humid.
also recommend the dinner buffet, high quality.
Clad hotel is located next to the GOTEMBA premium outlet, ideal for shopaholic that can shop till you drop and continue on the next day.
Nice scenery with Mount Fuji 🗻 at the backdrop , a pity we are unable to see it this time round but will definitely come back again.
Nestled in the serene surroundings of Atagawakan, this hotel presents a unique blend of convenience and natural beauty, making it a compelling choice for those journeying by car. Guests are provided with a shuttle service to the nearest train station in the morning. The hotel's crowning glory is undoubtedly its rooms, which offer breathtaking views of the majestic sea and the picturesque of 7 islands, providing a visual feast that is truly unforgettable.
However, the traditional Japanese sleeping arrangement, which involves bedding on the floor, may not cater to everyone's comfort preferences. Moreover, the early check-out time at 10 am, coupled with the requirement for rooms to be made up by the same time, might pose a slight inconvenience for some guests.
While the hotel's location offers a tranquil retreat, it is worth noting that it is situated a considerable distance from major attractions, which could affect those planning extensive sightseeing.
In summary, this hotel stands out for its stunning vistas and convenient shuttle service, though it may be best suited to those who appreciate the tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of city life and are comfortable with traditional sleeping arrangements.
It was a pleasant experience, because I can't drive and took the bus. The hotel is right next to the bus stop, which is very convenient (´▽`). There is a cabinet in the lobby where you can choose the yukata you want to wear, and the patterns are all very beautiful (。ì _ í。) When I checked in, they knew I was a foreigner, so they spoke English to me during meals and conversations. The staff were very friendly, and the dinner and breakfast were delicious (´・ω・`). Every dish was delicious. I really liked the wagyu beef, oysters, bamboo shoots and sashimi for the appetizer. Although the amount didn't look big, it was actually quite filling.
The hot springs were also very comfortable, and I soaked in them many times. My room was right next to the bathhouse, which was very convenient. The room was also very comfortable. A very happy stay experience o(^▽^)o
The room was long and narrow, oceanfront with an unbeatable sea view, perfect for watching the sunrise from inside. It was spotlessly clean, as per Japanese standards, though the bathroom was on the smaller side. The included dinner was fantastic, with varied dishes each of the two nights. The hotel has an ice machine, and you can borrow an ice bucket from the front desk. There's no outdoor onsen. Accessing the outdoors requires taking the elevator to the rooftop and walking from there. A beach is just a few hundred meters away, great for an evening stroll. Nearby convenience stores sold sparklers, which many young people were setting off on the beach. The hotel's shuttle bus requires advance booking, as it gets fully booked very quickly. A pick-up service is available from the JR station between 2 PM and 5 PM. If you miss this window, you'll need to take a taxi yourself (be aware of potential queues during peak hours). Walking from the JR station to the hotel is mostly downhill, but the return journey is uphill. Furthermore, the hotel's rooftop entrance can be a bit tricky to locate.
The location is great, just minutes from the JR station & bus stop! The hotel is clean & comfy, but the view? Totally unexpected & stunning! 😍 Sea views for days! 🌊
The onsen is 24/7 accessible, sup! 😎 Just a heads-up: no meals provided, but local restaurants are just a couple minutes away. 😋

This hot spring hotel is fantastic. The staff at the front desk and restaurant speak fluent English. We booked two nights, allowing us to experience two different breakfasts and dinners. Dinner consisted of 11 courses, each with a detailed explanation. An hour flew by, and I took my time savoring it. In the evening, I soaked in nine different hot springs, completely washing away my fatigue. The hotel is within walking distance of the station, making it convenient for visiting several attractions. I highly recommend it!
It was a wonderful place. Quite as I wanted. My room
was with lovely details and everything well prepared. Train station was 6 minutes walk and the beach just across the street also 2 minutes walk only. With approx 15 minutes walk you could be in the next bigger area with food shops restaurants and the nice river. I could book a private 50 minute outdoor onsen time and it was awesome. The stuff are absolutely friendly and helpful. I felt so comfortable and had no wishes. I would come back.

__WeChat366053****The small house is nestled in the mountains not far from Izu-Okawa Station. It's a classic Japanese-style room, with greenery visible from the window, inviting the mountain into the room, and the moonlit nights. The chirping of insects and the white noise of the water are soothing, and I headed upstairs with a warm bath, where I had the best sleep I've had in ages.
The staff was very attentive and gentle, helping with transportation, pouring drinks, and making breakfast. Sitting in the room with iced green tea, gazing out the window, my heart calmed.
After tire of the crowds at Asakusa's attractions, I came to Izu to see the mountains and the sea. I was so happy to stay here.
The room was clean, the decor was fresh, and the hot pool was warm. If you're not driving, you really need to plan your time well, as train schedules can be unpredictable, and getting to and from all the attractions requires advance planning. If you haven't already ordered food, it's also worth buying it beforehand, otherwise it'll be a bit inconvenient.
GGuest UserI suppose the charm of Atami is that the whole area is a little bit 'dated' as far as a resort goes, and this hotel definitely aligns with that - it seems like a place that was once great and is now kind of just rolling along bringing in what money it can.
The food is serviceable but totally uninspired - an upscale cafeteria masquerading as something better than it is with 'chefs' wearing their whites. The entire dining room constantly smells of fryer oil from the tempura - which they still make and keep stock of in such large quantities that it is never fresh and crispy anyways (especially the shrimp, which has not been sufficiently dried before battering). The remaining hot dishes are very disappointing both in terms of variety and overall flavor. The sushi and sashimi is the standout of the food, although it too is very basic - not anything that will blow your mind, but acceptably tasty and reasonably fresh (although on our second night everything tasted a bit soapy/bleachy). As a westerner you will be very disappointed by the breakfast, although that's a 'me' problem rather than a hotel problem per se.
The spa facilities are nice but a bit dated - be careful in your selection of both time and location unless you want to be surrounded with many loud (mostly Chinese) children. Private spas are available and are quite nice, although again dated. Nonetheless at around 60 USD for an hour the price is good for the privacy, especially as a westerner who is otherwise subject to quite a bit of staring at this mostly local and Chinese spa.
We stayed in a deluxe king room, which was spacious with an enormous and comfortable bed, and a (For japan) reasonably sized tub. Room and desk service was good.
The hotel is a bit off the beaten path but has regular free shuttles to/from Atami station, which is where the main tourist streets for shopping etc can be found. Highly suggest checking out Golden Eye for some excellent Ramen.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the mountains near Shuzenji Temple. We originally booked this hotel expecting a beautiful view, but the waiter actually gave us a room facing the staff entrance. Not only did we not have a window view, but as soon as we opened the curtains, we could see the staff coming in and out and the garbage trucks, which really affected our mood. The hygiene in the hot spring dressing room was also worrying. The wall near the exhaust fan was obviously dusty and dirty. The hygiene of this hotel was not very good. 😑 There was hair left by someone on the bedside in the room. Sigh😑, I have to give a bad review.
JJianiMishima is a bit of an undiscovered gem, isn't it? 😆 I stayed for three nights and it was incredibly comfortable. I highly recommend it for those who enjoy slow-paced, independent travel. It's a charming town nestled at the foot of Mount Fuji, where melted snow flows into the picturesque Genbei River. Mishima makes an excellent base camp for exploring destinations like Izu Kogen, Mount Omuro, the Cactus Park, Hakone, Owakudani, the Hakone Pirate Ship, and even Lake Kawaguchiko for Mount Fuji views. What's more, accessing Atami Station by car/train from here is also very convenient.
Now, about the hotel itself. The rooftop onsen (hot spring bath) is definitely a major plus! It was incredibly clean and comfortable, and never crowded. Whether you go for a morning soak or an evening dip to unwind, the views are absolutely stunning 🌟 Breakfast was also fantastic, as you can see from the photos I've included! 😁 The service was superb, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a washing machine available – a combined washer-dryer for just 500 yen for 120 minutes! That was a huge bonus 🥳 If possible, try to book their largest room type. We couldn't get a corner room, so we ended up with a 27 sq m room, which wasn't huge. However, all the other aspects of our stay were so delightful and comfortable 😍
MM250030****Seeing that it was a new hotel with a good price, I booked a room. It was very convenient to find the hotel. I took the free shuttle bus from the outlet and got off at the first stop, Tomei Gotemba, and walked for a few minutes to get there, which was very convenient. The hotel is great! The receptionist is very enthusiastic and can use Chinese and English, so everything from check-in to problem solving was very smooth. The room is large and equipped with a safe and microwave, which is very convenient. The best thing is that the room can be soaked in hot springs, which is extremely comfortable. Be sure to buy breakfast when you check in, it's worth it, you can eat until you lean on the wall! In short, it's great!
MM224183****The room was spotless and the decor was very welcoming, making us feel completely at ease. The location is excellent, very close to Mount Fuji, and the upper floors offer beautiful views. We hope to have the opportunity to stay here again. The staff were exceptionally friendly. The rooftop foot bath facility was incredibly comfortable and relaxing.

MM.M.TThis hotel is absolutely amazing; it feels more like a seven-star resort. The breathtaking view of Fuji Mountain is unforgettable. The property is a destination in itself, featuring an on-site car museum. For adventure, the hotel can arrange go-karting excursions, including pick-up and drop-off service. The restaurants and facilities throughout the hotel are perfect. I highly recommend it.
