The service at Bahia Principe was really quite good. Friendly workers at the front desk and concierge/transportation kiosk really helped. The facilities at Bahia Principe are not up to snuff however. The room was old and tired- in need of much care. For example, there were five lamps/lights in the room and two had light bulbs out. My wife wanted to read at night but there was not enough lighting in the room to even read a book for 15 minutes. The small fridge never worked. But the ants on the coach took the cake. No, they literally were on the hunt for cake in the room! If you want a really solid looking property then book at Ambar, not Principe.
On a positive note the mattress and pillows were comfortable.
One other note and seemed very kid friendly... But the property is huge! So huge that many people will want to take the trams to the beach- which was packed and not the best beach in Punta Cana. Later today I will be reviewing the Majestic Colonial which we also stayed in for a week. Want treated like you're a king or queen? Look at the Majestic properties which were worth the extra pesos.

Staff are attentive and helpful. Very much recommended and definitely one place I plan to come back to. The entertainment and food are awesome! The beach area is not the best due to build up of seaweed but that’s nature and they do their best to keep on top of that. The various pool areas and fun make up for it. Thank you Bahia Punta Cana!

I encountered several issues that significantly impacted my overall experience. The most concerning problem was the unreliable communication services at the resort. The phones and internet barely functioned, making it extremely challenging to reach out for assistance or make necessary arrangements. Despite my multiple attempts, no one was able to help resolve the issues, which led to a great deal of frustration and inconvenience.

Our room was very outdated. Tub was old ans stained. We had mosquitos in the room daily. Even had a lizard in our room all week. Maids leave the door opened while cleaning so thats why. Food at the buffet was never hot.

The layout is great!, but This hotel has an issue with mosquitos in all areas including the rooms.
Service is not good at the restaurants and waitress in the main areas. It looks like they need more people to take care of tables. Specially in the buffet area.
The beach does not have enough beach/lounge chairs.
Overall it is ok. The entertainment is enjoyable. Bartenders at the lobby bar and swim up bars are very good.
The limited dinners at the la carta restaurants is kinda disappointing considering the small amount of restaurants in this property, buffet option gets alittle old after doing that for breakfast everyday.

The resort needs to be refurbished. It’s not safe when you see mold in the bathroom. Among other issues. Very disappointed.

Foodat the buffet isnt great but if you pay extra for luxury its really good. Restaurants are really good. Pool and night club are fun for all ages 20-30 year olds will have a great time. Also, staffmember nelson by the pool is amazing went out of his way to help me every time i was in need! Great staff very nice, fun and helpful

It was a cheaper option, and the rule of thumb is that you pay for what you get. However having a mosquito issue on the rooms and every part of the hotel os not acceptable

very comfortable resort, beautifull pools, great beach is awesome. food was good,
it does feel like the resort is old and needs upgrading, a few items where annoying, some lights didnt in the room, WIFI was terrible, safe was not working, the AC was intermittent some of the power outlets were broken, they need more coffee stations or Bars around the resort
