Arrived at this lovely venue to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary only to find that the 3rd party booking company that we used & paid had not advised us that the Hotel was fully booked. Fortunately the Staff at the resort on reception Adam & his female colleague sorry I did not take her name bent over backwards to try & find a room which they eventually managed with a lot of effort. The hotel was exceptionally busy due to a Wedding & a private party staying over. I was very stressed & upset as this was a special day for us but they made every effort with calmness & professionalism to resolve this problem that was NOT down to the hotel. Room & stay was great. I highly recommend this hotel & the staff not only on reception but throughout the whole hotel during our stay.

The hotel was located near the coach station which was very convenient for us as we had to go there early in the morning. The front desk staff was helpful, professional, courteous, and welcoming. We received a smooth service until checkout. Highly commend them. The room and the bathroom were clean and the sheets and towels were also clean and fresh. Will be sure to book with them in the future.

I returned to the Leonardo Royal Southampton a year after my last stay to visit the nearby boat show. Check in time is quite late at 16:00 but I checked in online and received an email at 15:15 to say my room was ready. Lovely executive room with a balcony overlooking Southampton. Nice touches like a handwritten welcome note with chocolates on the bed and a Nespresso machine in addition to the kettle and tea/coffee facilities. Very comfortable bed and a very quiet room despite the hotel being full. Prompt, attentive service from the bar and they went above and beyond by fetching Worcestershire sauce to add to my guests tomato juice! I was delighted to see that the bar area has been decorated and the hotel generally was looking more loved with signs of investment. The pool and spa area has also been decorated and was generally looking smarter. It is great that the pool is open from 06:30 to allow a swim before breakfast. The breakfast buffet in Leo's was excellent with a good range of food available. Plenty of freshly cooked hot items available for the full English with smiling, friendly staff toping items up as required. Congratulations to the management for all your efforts in these difficult times for the hospitality industry, these are certainly paying off. I hope that those who have had a less positive experience than me will give you another try. I will certainly be back.

Good and bad, booked nab room for my birthday and anniversary, when we arrived at 4.pm ish went straight to nab room, omg it was freezing, couldn't work heating, husband went and asked how to work it and they didn't know but 30 minutes later heating came on, well slightly, 2 thirds of radiator didn't work, room very big and lots windows, never have I spent the evening in my coat and scarf in a hotel. We were both very cold. Went for booked meal which was good and had glass of free procecco each for our celebration, which was nice. Got back to room and still very cold,still cold in night and morning. Room was OK but needs a bit off TLC. Great views. Good breakfast but ordered poached eggs and crispy bacon chef forgot bacon and had to wait. Think the place are concentrateing on bar and food. Staff and manager tryed but not sorted, not really good enough or of place to go in winter time.

Stayed here with the family last weekend and would highly recommend this hotel. The room was clean and, even though the rules have changed, housekeeping were very efficient. Breakfast was as you would expect but with more care and attention than I have seen at any other Travelodge. Hot food was replenished almost instantly and everything was clean and tidy. Special mention must go to Doreen who provided hands down the best customer service I have ever received in any hotel. My son is coeliac and Doreen took the time on our first evening to go through each menu item and double check what was suitable for him. She was friendly and engaging, always with a smile on her face. During breakfast she made a point of greeting each guest and seemed to know who was happy for a chat and who was happy with just a cheery 'good morning'.

A last-minute getaway for my birthday and it didn't disappoint. A friendly and helpful welcome from Laina and Dennis awaits you. The rooms are immaculate, the bed is comfy, and we were lucky enough to have a bay room that looks right out over, well, the bay. The breakfast is excellent, tasty, well cooked, a good variety (including fried bread!!), and it really sets you up for a day of exploring. Our only downside is that we only got to stay two nights and wish it could be longer. We will certainly be returning and look forward to staying for longer next time. This was my first time venturing out into the world after the pandemic and a coeliac diagnosis two years ago. The hotel was quite busy on the Friday when I checked in and only one lift was working, but that really was a small niggle. The lift was repaired by the time I returned to the hotel in the early evening. The restaurant was great when it came to catering to my gluten allergy. There were a few options, and the guy at the front of house went the extra mile to check if the fish was fried in the same oil as non-GF food. Unfortunately, that was the case, and I'd suggest that either provision is made for a separate fryer, or the GF designation is taken off that item on the menu. But there were other things I could have, so it wasn't really a problem. Breakfast was excellent. The lovely young lady at the front of house took my order and explained that the chef would prepare it in a GF-section of the kitchen, so I'd have a 15 minute wait. It really wasn't a problem and it was well worth the wait. Beautifully prepared, generous portion. Friendly service. The room was fine. I loved pulling back the curtains in the morning and seeing the massive cruise ships in port. Only quibble was the pillows, but I'm picky. Otherwise the room was nice and clean, and I appreciated the a/c. I would definitely stay here again.
