Hotels near Hobart International Airport, Cambridge

We arrived late at night, about 10pm. I had tried to call to find out reception times but had had no luck getting through. Thankfully reception was open until midnight and check in was fast and efficient. The amenities where spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The accommodation pods are on stilts and there is some movement if people are walking around but it didn’t bother us at all. Our room (king bed) had a nicely appointed bathroom, nothing huge but still spacious enough, a large cupboard and an area with tea and coffee making facilities , the bedroom was huge with one whole wall of sliding glass doors which in summer would be amazing for opening up to the veranda which is full length. Fantastic views of the animal paddock and the ocean. All the staff we dealt with where so friendly and helpful. My only complaints are that the website has no contact phone number details that I could find and the number I got through Trip.com didn’t seem to work, just went to message bank, and there was no details on the website about reception times. The blinds in our room have a reasonable gab between them so a fair bit of light came though in the morning. I’m a light sleeper if it’s not pitch black so I woke early but nothing too concerning. Both easy fixes for the company to make. The accommodation pods have five rooms in them, so excellent for extended family vacations where everyone gets their own space but are all close by. The restaurant and cafe have fantastic views. There is a huge kids playground but I only saw it from a distance. It looked very nice from what I could see. There is animal feeding tours which would great for young families and grandkids. Highly recommend for a lovely quite holiday. Also on the plus side, very close to the airport and Hobart.

Had a recent stay for 3 nights and found it really enjoyable. After a little confusion with parking the car due to street it is located on being a bus thoroughfare, valet parking was prompt and we found we didn't need to get car out again. Great location in the centre of town and easy walking to everything Hobart has to offer. Rooms were very clean, although a little small, bathroom was a generous size although water did flood floor when showering. Did have to order another pillow as ones in room were rock hard. Breakfast was very yummy and buffet option that was offered had more than enough to satisfy. Gym was small with just enough equipment to do a workout. The Chocolate Hour was a bit of a letdown, not what we expected, but still another point of difference. All in all, a really nice stay and we'll certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

I am very disappointed as I thought I booked a room in Wrest Point but instead it was in adjacent property called Motor Inn. I felt that I have been cheated as the picture in the booking details showed me Wrest point Towel and not Motor Inn. I thought the room was called Motor Inn as I have not been there to know the existence of Motor Inn. When I queried about it, they said it was the agent's (trip.com) fault . To move to the main tower will cost me an extra of $80. I felt I have been conned and they should have placed the Motor Inn building photo instead of the tower of Wrest Point in their website for booking. (It is deceptive marketing - show you a ferrari for sale and got a lemon after you have paid for it) Motor Inn is an old building and does not have lifts to the room we were allocated and being retirees , we have to carry our bags up to 2 flights of stairs. On top of that, the room walls were not sound proof and you can hear every customer slamming their doors and flushing their toilets. I thought we have booked the room with the sea view instead there were only bushes as a window view. It was so embarrassing when I thought I could request for a room on a higher floor in wrest tower for good views but instead shown out of the door to an old adjacent building call Motor Inn. In all its websites and advertising, there is not 1 photo to show Motor Inn as Wrest Point . It has always being the tower used to promote the sale of their rooms. The Bistro food is poor quality and costly. We order from the caviary and the food came out to be cold and dry. We wanted to try the other 2 restaurants Kwan Ho and the one on the 17 th floor in the main tower but were told they were close. I thought being a top notch hotel, their restaurant will be open 7 days instead they are closed 2 days.( sun and mon). - the days we were there sat,sun,mon) They have a fantastic location but sad to say they don't have the marks of a 5 star hotel. We stayed on the 5th floor facing the main road, however the room was very quiet with no noise whatsoever from traffic or adjacent rooms. The staff were extra helpful. If you paid for breakfast it included both continental and hot food with a very wide selection to suit all dietary requirements. The restaurant specialises in Asian meals. The Capitan's Chicken and Potato Curry was a favorite. The rooms were clean and 100% functional as a maintenance feedback form is left in every room. The blackout curtains stopped all the light for those that like to sleep in or get over jet lag. Security was enhanced by room card access to the lifts. It was a 10 minute walk to everything, a 3 minute walk to the Skybus stop and 5 minute walk to the Hop-on-hop-off stop. Good value and recommended.

Perfect for our stay ! Great value! Great location ” Downtown ...... Quiet room , great value parking and very safe ..... After driving near 2h , You wish you will get ” Pink ” the receptionist checking you in ; fast , lively , very friendly That was our 3 time . We will be back in 10 weeks ....Thank you

Little bit dated. Booked through Qantas Hotels and somehow was upgraded. ( No requested room available? do not know.) Water shower deluge head is great. Plenty of towels washers etc. The body wash and shampoo bottles are squeeze to actuate, sounds simple doesn't it? Mattress very comfy. Pillow a little firm for me but I did have the choice of 5! You get a kettle and that's it. Fridge opens one way, cupboard door opens opposite way. Not user friendly. Mis mash of cups. No knife or fork. Had to book for a couple of nights the next week but was an extra 50 an night. Thought that was a bit unnecessary for a returning client booking the same room. We had two windy nights and the sliding door widows rattling was enough to keep you awake. Need to be wedged. Location to town. Excellent, walking distance.

Good location, close to the pier, there is a safe in the room, the door is the street, parking is not convenient, I booked a day trip, the tour guide let you pick up at the nearby ibs hotel. Breakfast was not eaten and it was convenient to eat nearby.

Fabulous room. Large and comfortable with a massive bathroom. Plenty of room to have your toiletries out. Very comfortable bed and pillows. We had a corner room and would request this again on our next stay. Breakfast included in our stay was one the best buffet breakfast we have had. Staff friendly and efficient. No on-site parking but valet parking available. Excellent stay.

This motel had been recommended to us by relatives for our first Tasmanian trip. We'd chosen a ground floor Queen room and frankly it was the only real disappointment in our trip. To call the shoebox-sized ground-floor Queen room a Queen room is laughable. It might be big enough for a couple of kids with a backpack but for two adult travellers with suitcases the small room was totally inadequate. It's the smallest motel room we have ever been in anywhere in the world. The bed is supposed to be Queen size but we doubt it and the linen was to small for the frame. At 3am every morning we had to re-make the bed as the sheets and matress topper became totally undone. We will not be staying here again and if you have motre than a backpack do not choose the ground floor rooms. The only plus was it was close to the car park.

We stayed in the “cottage” set in the old stable quarters of this beautiful turn of the century home. The cottage is a charming studio unit with vaulted ceilings and polished timber floorboards. It is large and spacious and amply equipped with a large fridge, cooking stove, microwave and an attached ensuite. The house is located on one of the busiest roads leading into the CBD but we barely heard the traffic as the cottage was at the back of the house. I understand the rooms in the main house have double glazing to address that issue. There is much to recommend in this place. Ample parking at the back if you have a car tho a tad tricky to manoeuvre a vehicle given the need to turn off a very busy road. The accommodation is exceptionally clean and run by a very affable and engaging Kevin. Kevin serves generous portions of breakfast (bacon and eggs) and copious quantities of coffee from a commercial coffee machine located in the kitchen dining area at the back of the house overlooking a courtyard. We are planning to visit Hobart again next year and Lowenas will be our first choice of accommodation. For its cleanliness, convenience and relaxed ambience at a modest price tag - Highly recommended!
