This hotel is in a lovely location and that is all that is good about it. We booked this hotel as it was one of the more expensive ones in the area as we wanted a bit of luxury for our stay. We paid circa £100 sterling per night for a 3 night stay. Upon arrival the check in was painfully slow even though we were the only ones at the desk. Once checked in we went to our first floor sea view room and we were immediately disappointed. The toilet smelled of urine. The door to the balcony was faulty and would not lock and there was no safe in the room so the broken door lock was a big problem, the bed sheets were also dirty. We then discovered we couldn’t connect to the WiFi in the room. The hotel decor was very dated, I felt like I had arrived in a hotel in the 1970’s. The main hotel wooden staircase was filthy as was the furniture on the landings, it all looked like it hadn’t been washed for an age. We decided we did not want to stay in this hotel a minute longer as it did not meet our expectations for the cost. We went back to the reception and asked to see the manager. They said the was at lunch so to come back. This is totally understandable and acceptable. We went off for an hour or so to look for another hotel. When we returned we asked if the manager was back. They said yes and asked us to wait. 15 minutes or later he decided to leave what he was doing to come and see us (I could see him all of the time simply shuffling papers on his desk so he wasn’t doing anything important). After raising our issues with him his simple response was that we do not advertise that we have safes in the room which is correct and his explanation for the smell off pee in the bathroom was that the cleaners sometimes do not do a good job. I said to him we booked the hotel as it was the most expensive and for £100 per night you expect a safe in your room and WiFi. His explanation of the WiFi was that they have installed a new system and it is not working everywhere properly yet. We told him it did not meet our expectations and that we no longer wanted the room and would like a refund. He pointed to the policy of Brazil of only receiving a refund if you cancel more than 7 days out (which I also know is correct) We told him we were not cancelling as we had changed our mind or our plans but due to the poor quality for the money we were spending. But this made no difference, he offered to move our room to one with the WiFi working. We said we didn’t think the hotel represented the quality for £100 per night. All of this made one difference, he would not offer a refund or even a reduction. We simply then left as we could see we were getting nowhere. So £300 down the drain and not even an apology from the manager. We then found a much nicer hotel named Capão da Capoa Mar, it was roughly half the cost and amazing service. This hotel had clearly invested in modernising and ensuring everything was clean and spotless. So if you are planning on booking Hotel Araca,

Dear hotel manager, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the Wi-Fi service, the restaurant, the service of chairs and umbrellas on the beach, the lack of service at the pool, the delay in checking in to my room and the lack of identification of dishes in the restaurant. During my stay, I had constant and ongoing issues with Wi-Fi connectivity, which seriously impacted my ability to work and communicate with my family. Every time I complained at reception, the attendants mentioned that it was normal for the Wi-Fi not to work. Furthermore, I had a less than satisfactory experience in the hotel restaurant. When I headed to the restaurant near the end of the hour, the steak was completely out of date. This caused discomfort and dissatisfaction with my meal. The lack of identification of the dishes in the restaurant made it impossible for me to know what I was eating, causing more discomfort and dissatisfaction. Finally, the chair and umbrella service was even more disappointing, it took 50 minutes for the chairs and umbrella to be delivered, even though I had booked in advance, causing significant discomfort during my stay. What really surprised me was the lack of service at the pool, there was no waiter to serve the guests, which prevented me from fully enjoying my hours at the pool and left me with a feeling of lack of care on the part of the hotel. . To make matters worse, when we arrived at the hotel at 3:30 pm, the room was not yet ready and we had to wait for about 1 hour for it to become available, causing delays in our plans and an unpleasant start to the stay. I hope these issues are addressed and resolved so that other guests don't have to face the same difficulties I did. Thank you in advance for your attention and I eagerly await your response. Sincerely, Marlon Schoenardie

Good room, well located, but we waited 1 hour and 15 minutes to get into the room where it was supposed to be at 2 pm and we only got in at 3:15 pm, with children it's more complicated to wait, 500 km of travel and get to the hotel where By 2pm it should have been free, coffee was never served on time, neither lunch nor dinner, for the amount I paid it should have been much better, again I won't go

The advantage of the hotel is that it is on the seafront! The Wi-Fi did not work during the entire stay. Lack of cleanliness on restaurant tables (breakfast); there were leftovers of food on the table, first thing in the morning; Green flies flying in the breakfast pastries; The fruits were not fresh, they were tasteless; There was a delay in breakfast time; Lack of cold water in the shower. The cold water fell in drops, while the hot water came out in greater quantities, meaning the shower was super hot for anyone returning from sunbathing. The bathroom facilities need urgent renovation: box, shower, crooked bathroom tap that caused a puddle of water to form on one side of the sink. The person in charge of taking the umbrella was very slow and did not do the job satisfactorily. The hotel service left a lot to be desired due to the exorbitant price charged per night. Not worth it!

Location in front of the beach with hotel chairs and umbrellas in the area. Swimming pool facing the sea is beautiful but the water is very cold. It has a heated pool and hot tub. Bathroom next to this pool with a very strong smell of urine. Nice room, poor hotel structure needs maintenance and better cleaning. On a day of heavy rain there are leaks in some parts of the hotel and unfortunately the connecting room 401 was flooded. Breakfast buffet has good options. Lunch is not worth it, good variety but the taste of the dishes is not pleasant.

A hotel by the sea! The only quality! Many details that should be part of a hotel that values good service, are not found at the Hotel Araça! Starting with the absurd amount they charge per night! Breakfast leaving a lot to be desired (e.g. watery juice, inedible scrambled eggs, flies flying in the fruit...). The apar**ent without any extra comfort justifying the daily price. Kind beach service by the staff, but with dirty chairs and torn umbrellas. And to top it off, an employee processed a value at check-in, was disallowed by a superior and did not inform us that she could not fulfill the agreement. We paid what they were charging at check-out and we will never go back!

We stayed on the 4th floor of the hotel, where the apar**ents were recently renovated. The rooms were expanded by closing the balcony. It reasonably accommodated 4 people. As positive points I would mention the location, the beach structure (but there is no bar service on the beach), the open pool (but with poor bar service) and the fire prevention systems (at least on the 4th floor). On the other hand, we were very dissatisfied with the quality of the breakfast. Very little variety and low quality. For example, it is inconceivable, given the daily price, to serve watery juices (and watery ones at that) for breakfast. We request vegan options when booking and checking in. Nobody knew about it! On 01/01/22, it was chaos. They didn't extend the breakfast time and, as a result, all the guests got off at the same time. Result: there was no breakfast for everyone. There was a minimum lack of planning.

Excellent hotel, very well located, amazing structure. There is no way to explain this experience. My family and I felt welcomed, very well equipped. Service out of 10. The breakfast is wonderful, facing the sea so… I like going to the beach. Guys at reception, bar, waitress and waitress were very polite and willing. The indoor pool is as wonderful as the outdoor one. The hotel is approximately 2.5km from the canoe's capão river, you can walk along the beach in the late afternoon or go along the paraguassu route. By Uber it takes less than 14 minutes. This small distance from the center of Capão, in a way, is very good, because there is no pushing and shoving in the sand during the day, nor all that noise all night. Ideal for staying with the family. Therefore, ideal location. The hotel is worth a visit. We will be back and we already miss it.

I would like to express our opinion regarding the days we spent at the Araçá hotel, in Capão da Canoa. From 02/21 to 02/25. Several points caught our attention, I will describe them so that they can be seen more carefully by the hotel. - Swimming pools visibly dirty. The outdoor pool, in the shallow part where we stayed with our baby, was full of slime 😣 - Covered spa pool (jacuzi) with a completely green edge, I didn't have the courage to go in 😟 - The floor (stones) under the outdoor pool shower was covered in slime, plants growing inside the drains 🤦🏼‍♀️ - The restaurant with a monotonous menu, always the same dishes at every meal, no identification on the dishes served, part of the salads taken over by mosquitoes 😣😣😣 - There were none in the outdoor pool There wasn't even any music to liven up the a**osphere, nor was the pool bar working, as it was high season. - Stained bed linen, with a musty smell - this is what we stayed in in the hotel's best suites - And finally, the physical structure of the hotel was severely damaged (it seems like the hotel stopped in time in the 70s), requiring good maintenance Amount paid considerably high. We were disappointed. I do not recommend.
