Hotel Riu Gran Canaria - All Inclusive

Just returned from a lovely week, the staff are all very friendly and welcoming, the whole place is kept beautifully clean, there are plenty of sun beds, the only area that gets really full is by the infinity pool. The food was great and there’s something for everyone, we used the app to book the themed restaurants which apart from the gourmet one are also buffet style but much smaller so a far nicer experience than the main buffet restaurant. We would definitely recommend and return.

Been to this hotel many times. Improvements made last year are very good. Small problem in the room but was sorted very quickly. Staff are happy and friendly and I cannot wait to be back.

Just returned from a great 11 night stay at the Riu Gran Canaria. Let me start with the cons: Adult Pool: Sun beds were taken by around 8:00 am so if you have a preference on where you wish to locate yourself for the day then make sure you are up and about by this time. Space between the sun beds is limited which can make it difficult to follow the sun, however this is the same wherever you go. Adult Pool Umbrellas: No umbrellas provided on the adult sun terrace above the pool bar. I would have spent most of my time up there if umbrellas had been provided. Also there were a number of guests that did not use their umbrellas in the main adult pool area, would have made more sense for them to use the roof terrace to allow more adults to use the facilities. Children in the Adult Pool: There were a number of older children using the adult pool. This was not monitored on the first week of our stay, however, security did start to monitor it around 3 days before we returned home. Price for a late checkout: The Rep informed us that we would have to pay 11 euros per hour per person which would have resulted in us paying an additional 132 euros, this I think is way too expensive, at other hotels I have paid no more than 60 euros. Weather in May: There was a number of cloudy days which surprised me. We only had 3 blue sky days. The resort is also quite windy, however, this would not stop me returning but I would come later in the year. Pros in there plenty: Staff very welcoming at reception, restaurants and bars. Hotel community areas exceptionally clean. Hotel offers great facilities within the room and cleaned every day. Beautiful gardens that are very well maintained. Sun beds in there plenty in the main garden areas. A good selection of pools available: adults, Childrens and general. Great food, especially the Kulinarium Restaurant. Rave night, this is more of a party than a Rave. This was professionally managed. It was great to see guests of all ages enjoying themselves. Cocktails were a little weaker than normal however they were being produce in volume. Great location for strolling along the sea front. Thank you Riu Hotels for making our stay an enjoyable one. I am now looking to book up with you again soon.

Myself and family have just returned from a very pleasant week at this hotel. Returning guests last time was 2022, so we have seen the hotel before and after the refurb. Lovely hotel which has been made better since the refurb with the introduction of new restaurants x 2, sports bar, another pool and the outside entertainment area. Seen reviews on here about the RIU party night which is on a Friday… we arrived on the Friday and yes it’s non stop partying, but it ends at 1130pm which is acceptable and no biggie… if it continued into the early hours and it was every night then yeah it would be an issue but it was no problem for us (Our room was close by). We loved the Asian and also the Italian (Can use the Italian for brekkie too). Few things have changed since staying…. Pepes food counter is now new toilets, and this has been moved to the Liquid bar area. The sunset bar next to the adults only pool is only open until 7pm which is a shame and you are no longer able to have breakfast down at the Atlantico restaurant overlooking the sea. Few things which loved… the dreaded reserving of sunbeds…. No issue at this hotel, tons of them…. Also the beer, soft drinks are self service which is good! We booked it all separately this time, booked direct with the hotel and we saved about £700 compared to the tour ops that come here. Nothing but good feelings for this hotel and definitely would return again. Great week had!

Absolutely fabulous hotel in every way! Lovely comfortable room, great staff throughout who were so attentive and friendly, fabulous food, lovely restaurants and plenty of loungers for everyone! Will definitely be back! A beautiful setting with great facilities and beautiful and well kept grounds👍🏻👍🏻

Beautiful resort and we was lucky to have a great view on the 5th Floor. I would change the twin beds to double or queen beds apart from that, a nice chilled weekend break. P.S it would be good to save some spaces at the specialist resturants for guest who are only at the hotel for a couple of days.

we have just returned from our 4th. visit to this wonderful hotel, The renovations are superb making what was a lovely hotel into a wholly luxurious resort. The staff are wonderful, charming and very helpful. The food is great, lots of tasty dishes to choose from. Will certainly be returning.

A really excellent hotel, our room, the restaurants, the pools and ease of access to the promenade made it a lovely vacation.

First Class from start to finish, everything was just as described and refurbishment has taken the hotel to a higher level. No complaints only compliments
