MMajabyMy stay in Shangri-La was truly memorable, thanks to the incredible hospitality of the hotel. Upon arriving at the train station, I couldn’t get a taxi, so I sent a quick message to the hotel via WeChat. To my surprise and relief, the staff immediately offered to come pick me up. It was a short ride, but during the drive, they shared interesting insights about the area, setting the tone for what would be a warm and personal stay. The hotel itself felt cozy and welcoming, with two dogs and a cat adding to the homely charm. They had my room ready early, so I could check in and rest right away. The room was spacious, fully equipped, and thoughtfully prepared for the cold weather—it had a large dehumidifier and central floor heating, which made it incredibly comfortable during the chilly days. The hotel is conveniently located near the Shika Snow Mountain, and from the property, I could catch glimpses of the snowy peaks, open grasslands, farms, and plantations. It was a peaceful and scenic spot—an ideal base for exploring the area. What stood out most was the attentiveness of the staff. They were always just a message away, responding promptly to every request. As a first-time visitor to Shangri-La, I appreciated the wealth of local recommendations they provided—from attractions to hidden spots worth visiting. One night, after a long day out, I asked for a simple meal in the room, and they delivered hot fried rice from the kitchen right on time. On my final morning, I had an early departure, and despite the hour, the staff woke up and personally drove me to the train station at 6:30 a.m. Their warmth and dedication left a lasting impression. The hotel also offers traditional ******* clothing that guests can try on for photos—complete with the option to pose with a goat! Although it was too cold during my stay to enjoy the outdoor swing or take many photos outside, the setting was undeniably beautiful. As we drove away on my last day, the view of flat grasslands with horses and cows grazing under the open sky was the perfect farewell. It was a calm, heartwarming experience—one I’ll remember fondly.

SShuijuexiaoziI rarely write reviews, but I can't wait to give a good review this time. This is the most worthwhile day of this trip. It is the most textured hotel in Yubeng, and the decoration is very impressive. The Marshall speakers and Dyson toiletries in the room are also very nice. The service is very good. Basically, everything you need can be provided, such as moisturizing masks, fascia guns, oxygen, etc. Afternoon tea and breakfast are very rich and delicious, which is rare in Yubeng, a place with scarce supplies. There is a bar in the public area, with many types of whiskey and wine. I ordered a glass of Yamazaki and the atmosphere was really good when sitting in the lobby. I also want to thank the hotel for upgrading our room type. The view is great. I can completely relax here after a day of hiking.

GGuest UserI travel with my husband and my teenager son and daughter. Stay here really feels like home. The owners (husband and wife) who take care of this homestay are really friendly and kind. They even help to drop us at the airport. The location is very good, in the middle of Dukezong Ancient town. Everything is around this homestay. We surely will stay here if we visit Shangri-La again. PpeipeiiiiliI very enjoyed staying here and feel bad that I booked only 1 night, I should have booked longer than 1 night The hotel concept is like farm stay, we have many activities to do such as feeding animals here (sheeps, deers, donkey, horse and dogs) Very suitable for who would like to relaxed at the hotel, this hotel make me dont want to go out to do anything except staying here. Very fun and good experiences here Also, the food at the hotel restaurants is very delicious. Dogs here very cute and huggable I would like to come back again during winter, it would be so fun and enjoyable

JJaquelyn MolloyI love this little place. Each room is an individual villas / rooms with its own bathroom. Standing on its own with lots of space between each villas. It feels as if we are on our own with no one next to us but the wide open skies. The property is nestled in the nature amongst the local farmers and we got to experience a milking a cow on one of the home farmers backyard. My girls 10 & 12 thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We got to bring the milk back to the property and the staff helped us to treat the milk before serving it to us for consumption. It was a shame that we are a month too early for the mushroom picking experience (Shangri-La being on a higher altitude) My girls roamed the ”neighbourhood” outside the property with their walkie talkies and were just playing with the neighbours / farmers chicken , cows, lambs and horses. They had a ball. Within the property itself, there are 3 dogs who will visit you at your villa or at the reception / dining area (when food is served) at all times of the day. They are so friendly and my girls thoroughly enjoyed their company. There is also a horse on the property who roams around freely. The staff is so accommodating to our needs. The property is about 20 mins out from city centre and we can organise a driver with the property to pick us up and drop us off. We were driven by the owner of the property on multiple occasions and always just text them about 30-1 hour in advance (depending on where we are). It was nice to have that option. sometimes it's easier to have a familiar face and because we spoke mandarin, it was also nice to be able to converse with the same person . Breakfast was scrumptious in my opinion and we get an option of noodles or rice porridge and condiments to go with. You can request for dinner as well and they will ask you during the day etc. although wild mushroom hot pot (their speciality in the area) needs to be prepared one day in advance. It is a very special place and as we were leaving the owner is installing new furniture to the rooms and also a new structure for an outdoor BBQ space. This is a very special place and i think we will come back again very soon!!

GGuest UserThis hotel on the stunning Shangri-La grassland is excellent! It offers breakfast, has a laundry room, features automatic toilets, and boasts advanced facilities. The hotel is very clean, with great soundproofing and insulation, and has direct ventilation through scenic-view windows. The laundry facilities are top-notch and easy to use. The ratio of guest rooms to laundry machines is high, so there’s no waiting. Shangri-La itself is incredibly beautiful. The hotel is surrounded by the Napa Lake Grassland and snow-capped mountains. I recommend driving up the hotel’s internet-famous road to the halfway slope for a panoramic view of Shangri-La. With wildflowers blooming everywhere, it’s absolutely breathtaking. In previous days, I stayed in an ancient town inn. The main issue was that most rooms lacked outward-facing windows, which felt uncomfortable. Windows faced an inner courtyard, compromising privacy and making it inconvenient to open them. This is an important point to consider when choosing hotels in the ancient town, but most suffer from this problem. Also, many wooden inns have poor sound insulation—something I, as a long-term overseas resident and traveler, cannot accept. Visiting Dukezong Ancient Town takes about an hour. The owner of *Yinxiang Tianlu* recommended a place called **Bottomless Lake**. It’s incredibly beautiful, reminiscent of Switzerland, and even prettier than Pudacuo National Park. Best of all, it’s free (no entrance fee), though you’ll need to rent a car for a one-way 2-hour drive. This hidden gem is truly fantastic. This hotel is highly recommendable to friends!

GGuest UserAlthough the room is relatively small, the facilities and environment are the most comfortable in this Yubeng trip. The service experience is several levels higher than the inns that cost one or two hundred yuan. I stayed in three in total, from more than one hundred yuan, more than two hundred yuan to this one that cost more than three hundred yuan. This one gave me the most comfortable feeling. When I first checked in, the boss saw that I had a lot of luggage and said he would help me move it to the room. The boss originally wanted to help me carry the heaviest bag, saying that I must be very tired after coming up. This made people feel very warm. The other two inns I stayed in did not have such a service attitude. In addition, I was very satisfied with the facilities in the room, because there were disposable bath towels, face towels and toilet covers here, which were not available in the previous inns. I didn’t have to worry about the towels in the inn being dirty. There was enough hot water for bathing, but I had to wait two or three minutes for it to reach the hottest temperature. It was very comfortable to bathe. The toilet was very neat overall. In addition, the hair dryer was the best one among the inns I stayed in. The power was very sufficient. The previous inns I stayed in were either broken or not hot enough. Finally, there is a washing machine outside, so you don't have to worry about not having a change of clothes after a sweaty hike. There is also a large platform with a cover for us to dry clothes. Finally, there is a terrace where you can enjoy the snow-capped mountains, which is very nice. Overall, the accommodation experience is great. The price of more than 300 yuan is very cost-effective. I personally recommend everyone to stay here.
