Let me start by saying that Dun Laoghaire is a beautiful town and a great location to stay in Dublin. It is absolutely beautiful. The hotel is a great location, close to the harbor, restaurants, shops and the train into city center. This was my 4th time staying in this hotel and unfortunately it was by far the worst experience I have had. I had booked a sea view room but there were none available when I arrived. The hotel was fully booked due to events going on. The room we were given was tiny, barely fit the bed. There was one uncomfortable chair to sit in at the foot of the bed with your face directly in the television. The only way to access electrical outlets to plug anything in was to move the nightstands. In the bathroom there was a pedestal sink with no counter space for toiletries. The tub was set about 8 inches off the floor and was extremely slippery. It had a sort of wrap around shower curtain as well as a side wall shower that really limited space in the shower. It was hot. The AC did not work properly and our window opened to a dingy apartment courtyard with no ventilation I’m glad we were only there for 3 short nights. This was my favorite place to stay when visiting Dublin but now I’m not so sure I will be back.

I had the absolute pleasure of having Krishna as our host recently, and I must say, he was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, he showered my entire family with attention, ensuring that each one of us felt welcomed and cherished. His sense of humor was a breath of fresh air, keeping us all entertained throughout. It's rare to find someone who can cater to a diverse group with such ease and make a lasting impression. Krishna did just that, and because of his efforts, our experience was elevated to a level of excellence. We all left with smiles on our faces, and there's no doubt in my mind that we will be requesting him by name the next time we visit. Thank you, Krishna, for making our time so memorable!

Krishna was such a lovely waitress to my family and really made us feel welcome. From the moment we arrived, his warm and friendly demeanour set the tone for our visit. He was attentive to all our needs, ensuring that we had everything we required throughout the meal. Krishna's excellent service and genuine care for our comfort made the experience truly enjoyable. It was evident that he takes great pride in his work, and his positive attitude was infectious. Overall, it was such a lovely experience, and we are grateful for his exceptional hospitality.

Myself and my parents had dinner at the in-hotel restaurant for my dad’s birthday and we have to say that service was fantastic. Krishna was a fantastic waiter and super sweet, friendly and hilarious! He really made my dad’s birthday, and was generally fantastic. Food was great as well, especially dessert, would definitely recommend and come back again!

This is an elegant, historic hotel, although really well maintained. The room was great, comfortable bed, plenty of space. The breakfast buffet was excellent, really enjoyed it. It was convenient for the town centre, and for the park and harbourside. It was an easy five minute walk to the railway station to catch the DART into Dublin. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this hotel. One thing to note is that, having parked in the underground car park, it seemed like quite a long walk, underneath the hotel, to get from the car park to the lift to reception, and then on to the room.

We had a lovely stay in the Royal Marine Hotel. We booked a sea view which was definitely worth it as it was lovely looking out over the harbour. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable with two comfortable chairs beside the window. Breakfast was delicious and although it was very busy in the restaurant the staff were very attentive. Gluten free toast and cornflakes was available. We would definitely recommend and would love to return.
