Just wanted to thank all those involved in my daughters wedding on 28/3/24. We had the most amazing time. The food was fantastic, all the staff are polite and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble and given the atrocious weather what a blessing/surprise the new enclosed area was! So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue is. However I would especially like to single out Emma, our wedding co-ordinator. She was amazing and ensured everything run smoothly - nothing was too much trouble for her. She was incredible as was the wedding. Thanks MOB

I honestly don’t know where to start with this review and trust me I’m not one for leaving them! My Son and now Daughter-in-law had their wedding here on Easter Sunday. What a credit every member of staff is to Coltsfoot. They were all so attentive and made sure everything went like clock work. So many guests told us they couldn’t believe how stunning the venue was and the food was the best they’d ever eaten at a wedding. We stayed over night and rooms are clean spacious and the views are beautiful . Emma - you literally are amazing from the first time we met you when viewing the venue to the actual day. It was your warmth and helpfulness that made the decision to choose Coltsfoot easy. We will be forever grateful to you all for making their wedding dreams come true. To anyone looking for a venue you really don’t need to look any further than Coltsfoot, I promise you won’t be disappointed!

From the very first meeting right up to our wedding day everything was just perfect. Emma our wedding planner made us feel at ease and the whole experience so easy. They were extremely accommodating with everything and did whatever they could to make it extra special. All of the rooms that our guests stayed in were brilliant. Really comfy, great sizes and perfect in the courtyard. The food for the wedding was amazing, we had so many compliments around the food and the breakfast the following morning was perfect. Never had scrambled egg so good! I literally can’t fault anything with Coltsfoot. I would and already have recommended it to other people. Thank you to whole Coltsfoot team. Love Emma and Jake xx

We celebrated our son and his friend's 21st birthdays at Coltsfoot at the beginning of December, along with 130 guests, and had the most wonderful evening. The setting is idyllic and the venue is well-presented and provided the perfect backdrop to the party. A special mention to Emma and her team who could not have been more accommodating on the night, ensuring that the bar was well-stocked and that we had everything we needed. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for the high standard, canopes followed by small bowls of hot food including thai green curry and chilli con carne were served to the guests. The venue recommended @MrHProductions, who supplied our DJ and all the equipment. They were super professional and took the time to understand our son's music tastes and how he wanted the evening to flow. On the night, DJ Dave "read the room" perfectly [remember this was a room of predominantly 20 somethings and their parents]. A huge "thank you", belatedly, to Coltsfoot for making our son's big celebration a night to remember.

Fabulous place to stay, very relaxing, friendly helpful staff, good service. Great breakfast. Attended a wedding and would highly recommend for special occasion such as this. Rooms extra special, luxurious decor and clean with amazing views.

We had our wedding party here in November 2023. From start to finish the team (especially Emma) made everything very easy & stress-free with regular meetings & updates keeping us in the loop. They were very easy going with all of our mind changing & requests, for which we are very grateful! The venue itself is stunning, all the guests commented on how beautiful it looked lit up at night! Both inside & outside were set up fantastically, exactly what we wanted. The whole event went without a hitch, and we couldn't be more pleased with everything. Had a most wonderful evening & are glad we picked Coltsfoot as our venue! Also huge shout out to the chef for not only the lovely pizzas, but also rescuing the wedding cake after it was damaged in-transit!!! Absolute superstar & we can't thank him enough. Coltsfoot Country Retreat, near Datchworth in Hertfordshire is a perfect wedding venue. We were there for my daughter’s wedding in April 2023. Following a year’s preparation we had an absolutely fabulous day. The weather was kind to us and we even enjoyed some sunshine which the forecasters had only hinted at. The management were helpful at every stage and on the day of the event everything came together perfectly. The meal was delicious and served to us in a timely and professional manner. In the evening we had hired Mr H, Coltfoots resident DJ who gave us a magnificent evening that I can only describe as the blast to be remembered. All our guests had a wonderful time. I recommend Coltsfoot Country Retreat as a number 1 venue for any forthcoming wedding.

Quintessential England at its very exquisite, perfect for a large family get together like a wedding, everything is off a beautifull layout and green enclosed courtyard surrounded by the guests rooms in view of the ceremony, dining, bar areas. Just perfect along with friendly staff and great service.

What a dream wedding venue coltsfoot is! From the moment my now husband and I stepped onto the grounds and into the barn we knew it was the one. The whole place had the most wonderful homely feel and it was so personal and intimate - just what we wanted for our wedding day. Not only is the venue incredible but every member of the team are just as incredible. We could not have asked for more accommodating, friendly, helpful and simply lovely people to have helped plan our wedding. You all truly made it so special! No ask was too much and nothing was a bother and the day was just perfect! As the bride, being able to get ready on site and have the use of the hut and the beautiful room made the morning extra special. The don, which we stayed in the night of the wedding was the perfect location as our first night as husband and wife. It allowed us time away from everyone to reflect on our perfect day! Speaking of rooms, the guest rooms were amazing and all our friends and family that stayed commented on how lovely they were and how delicious the breakfast was the next morning! Once again, having our wedding day at Coltsfoot was an absolute dream and one which we could relive over again. Thank you, thank you and thank you to everyone for making our day perfect!
