I have stayed at this hotel on many occasions, with no problem. However, this time we arrived at about 10.30 pm and was given a room on the second floor (no problem as they have a lift), but the room was absolutely boiling. We tried to turn on the air con, but it didn't work There was a fan in the toom, but all it did was circulate the hot air. Further, it was on a timer, so every time it stopped, it woke me and I had to get out of bed to reset it. It was an awful night's sleep; the worst I have ever had at that hotel Secondly, I requested an accessible room, and the room we were given was not. There wasn't a rubber mat for the bottom of the bath, so it was a scary time for me having a shower I told the receptionist as we left, and she was really disinterested. She told us that there was no air con in any of the hotel, and it said so on the terms and conditions, and as for the accessible room, she just kept asking if I had phoned up and spoken to anyone. I explained that I had stayed there lots of times, and I always booked online. She repeated, 'did I speak to anyone?' I told her I would not book again in the summer, and she just shrugged her shoulders and carried on talking to a man at the reception

Same basic room, same good shower, it was clean when I arrived. Getting very expensive for a shower and a bed, but not much choice of accommodation in the area. You can get the room serviced but only if you ask for it, bathroom clean but the drains smelt a bit. Creaky floor from the room above so not the best nights sleep. I used to think this was OK for the price, it has nearly doubled for the same nights and goes up more if there is an event on so you never really know until you try to book. Rooms need modernising. The hotel is a 20 min walk from the town centre so location not great from that point of view, but there is a very good Indian restaurant 5 mins walk away.

Clean and tidy. Hotel was near to the event we were attending and free parking a bonus, however a bottle of water £2.30??? Really!! Other gripe, the extraction fan in the bathroom was noisy even with the light turned off so didn’t sleep very well!

We had a very relaxing and comfortable three nights at this Premier Inn. It was quiet, the bed was lovely, the room had ample space and it was very handy for us to see nearby family and friends. We wanted a simple, straightforward base, that was good value, and it was next to a very good pub, where we had our breakfast as well. We'd recommend it.

I’ve stayed in lots of Premier Inns and this was by far the poorest regarding state of repair and I paid the same as the much newer one half a mile away. The breakfast was at a pub across the car park which was stones and flooded in parts. The choice for continental was poor and didn’t look fresh. There was one staff on duty who was rude and of the opinion he didn’t want us there. He started clearing the offerings away before we had even got our hot drinks or should I say warm drinks. The hot water flasks hadn’t been replenished for sometime.

Andy on reception was brilliant. Helpful and friendly. Stayed in a lot of Premier Inns for work and they’ve been really good but the level of customer service today was the best ever. Thanks Andy for confirming my room number on multiple occasions.

I stay at the Premiere Inn quite a lot as I work in the area. I stayed on 7th March and Andy on reception remembered me from my previous stay the week before. I had worked quite late and after chatting to Andy about what I do, he left me a little gift on my 7th March stay, with a lovely note, showing appreciation for the work I do. It was really sweet, and it was great that Andy and the staff remember me. Everyone is always friendly and helpful and it makes my travel a bit easier knowing I feel comfortable and looked after whenever I stay here. Thank you!
