A surprise trip for my husband's birthday, on arrival met by Zoe, the owner, very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable. It overlooked the road junction but we were not disturbed by noise even though we had windows open in the warm weather. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, served in a spacious, modern, dining room. Shower was impressive in the modern en suite. All in all, a very good weekend, would not hesitate to recommend.

In Eyemouth for a wedding and the guest house was ideally situated for that and for wandering round Eyemouth at other times. Bright, friendly a**osphere throughout, attractive gardens to look out onto and sit in. Lovely views of bay. Very pleasant room, large double bed, clean and appealing. Excellent breakfasts. Slightly disconcerting phone call with the owner's husband the day before about checking in later than normal due to a work issue, (the owner was more friendly in a call back soon afterwards), so we were a bit apprehensive about our visit, but we were in fact welcomed very warmly by the owner on our arrival, and treated to great hospitality throughout our two day stay. Some road noise in our room but we had ear plugs. Shower room floors should be more slip proof?

This was booked back in 2020 for our Coasts and Castles ride from Edinburgh to Tynemouth but Covid delayed us 2 years. I was shattered after the 1st day, it had been a long ride and an early start so getting to the guest house was a must as we were running late. Very friendly welcome, she let us catch our breath and relax on the chairs outside before checking in. Loads of space to securely store the bikes and we were shown to our rooms. We had four double rooms booked. Ours was well furnished, clean and had a view out over the main road. The shower was amazing, powerful and hot! I could have stood there for hours to get some life back in my legs. Our organiser had brought a couple of bottles of fizz which our host put in a cooler next to the breakfast lounge. She even left out flute glasses for our return from the restaurant!! it was enjoyed in the lounge watching the Queens Jubilee celebrations on the big TV. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. a hot and cold selection made to order! A good start for the day ahead. Well worth a trip back if we are ever visiting the area. Never got to enjoy the beautiful well kept gardens as time was against us. Maybe next time when he have more time

Having originally driven from Portsmouth all the way to Eyemouth we were exhausted and looking forward to our time here (having read the reviews). However: We arrived to closed accommodation with two rather confusing notices. The first announcing they had no vacancies and a second terse note addressed to us informing us of a family emergency and to phone a mobile number. Family emergencies (of whatever circumstance , big or small) understandably can cause upset I appreciate that BUT....having made a call to the aforementioned mobile number we were met with aggression, anger and rudeness. The alternative accommodation they offered appeared dowdy and tired and may have had sea view if you were to forget about the immediate vicinity of the Co op. Altercations with this particular madam definitely not recommended Whilst sitting in a car park overlooking the original property we did note activity. Perhaps this is what they do -you pay for their 4 poster 4 * accommodation and get offered " at no extra cost " inferior alternatives from the same owner. No, don't go
