Kennedy Boutique Hotel

Passing through New Ross we decided to stop for dinner in this place as it looked nice from the outside. That’s where ‘nice’ ended! At one point I thought I was on candid camera! Asked the staff to clean our table, they cleaned the dirty table with a dirty cloth leaving behind a seriously strong smell of sour bleach. I asked to move table and got an eyeroll! Ordered drinks-glass of wine and a pint…got a flat pint served with complimentary white crusty residue down the side of the glass, I dread to think what that was! My meal was returned because it was cold but the staff member was so annoyed with me I was too terrified to eat it when it arrived back. Asked for extra serviettes and got 1 folded in half!! Such a pity because it could be a lovely hotel but it won’t last long with this crowd of amateurs running it!

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Good size bed. Could do with a bit more attention to detail..eg. some doors in the corridor were rather dirty around the handles. The continental breakfast was disappointing...limited range of cereal, yogurt but no fruit, toast but no marmalade (if you ask, individual portions are brought from their tea room). But the really off putting thing was the ham and cheese. Cheap sweaty ham and cheese slices which weren't even removed from the catering packets that they were bought in. If they were at least served on plates, they might look more appealing.

We stayed for one night room was nice and comfortable. Good location to when visiting New Ross. The carvery was lovely. We were a disappointed there was no hot breakfast. Parking is free on Sunday but we had to keep going back to put a euro in on the morning. No parking with the hotel.

Had a lovely meal, massive portions, reasonably priced. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly without being OTT. Veg maybe a tad overcooked but the pork and the fish pie were both excellent. Very clean. Would definitely come back again.

We recently came out to the Kennedy Boutique Hotel for our first meal since lockdown and will definitely be back again. Food was amazing and cooked quickly - with plenty of choice on the menu. Our server, Chris, was very attentive and friendly. Cocktails were amazing, too!

We have just had the nicest meal since lockdown began. The service was great and you could smell the food before you saw it! We will definitely be back again and would highly recommend giving it a try.
