City Join Hotels in Guangzhou

I always stay at this hotel every time I visit company in Guangzhou. I like the service, especially laundry service which is very convenient for a long stay. However, during my trip in Jan, they cancelled breakfast while still shown here in Trip.com that it’s included. So I need to skip my breakfast everyday instead, even though they return cash to me, but it’s still not convenient. Overall service is nice. A little change apart from breakfast would be toilet facilities. They cut off many things. Like cotton buds and facial pads, conditioners. I went to ask from the lobby and received something. In the past everything was provided for us. So these changes meant a lot for me.

The hotel is well located, many restaurants and shopping malls around. The room felt a bit dated, and there was a slight smell of cigarette smoke that didn’t go away during my 7-day stay. I had booked a garden view room, but was given one facing a wall and buildings; luckily there was natural light. The shuttle to the Canton Fair leaves at 8:20 am, which is a bit early for buyers, as many booths are still closed upon arrival. Overall, the experience was ok.

very convenient, short walkable distance to metro 西门口. felt safe staying here as a female solo traveller. staff were very amicable and welcoming. the room is clean and huge. furniture looks new too. no smell of smoke in room as it is non-smoking room which is very much appreciated for someone who has sensitive sense of smell - a very big plus point as some hotels state that is non-smoking room but u can still smell it. room also has good sound proofing - won't be able to hear noise from other rooms. had a good sleep every night. another worthy mention is they have free movies u can watch from their TV - disclaimer; most are in chinese dub. they have wide variety of shows and movies like alice in the wonderland, shrek etc. love the movie selection. great way to unwind after a long day. 10 out of 10 will book again when revisit guangzhou. thank you all the staff for making it an enjoyable stay 🫶🏻
