There is a warm welcome at Mandeley. All three rooms are well decorated and comfortable. Easily accessible, as the rooms are on the ground floor. The breakfast room is up three steps. Whilst we were there there was a disabled lady who managed them with a little difficulty. The breakfast offers a good selection of fruit, yoghurt and cereals as well as cooked Full English. The bread is home made. Fresh milk is provided daily for your room. The shower offers a good amount of power. Exiting the property is a little tricky. We have an Auris and there was little room, either side, to get through.

What a friendly guest house! Brigit and Paul made us so welcome, and the breakfast was excellent - wonderful choice of fresh fruit, including strawberries! We stayed for 2 nights and were very comfortable Although the bathroom in Rebecca is a bit small, it was immaculately fitted and the towels were soft and perfumed - never experienced that before! The location is good for many National Trust gardens and restaurants. We look forward to visiting again, as we have nieces in Helston.

Our hosts, Birgitt and Paul made us feel very welcome from start to finish of our stay. They were very friendly and welcoming and even suggested some good places to visit that we didn’t know about. The breakfast was amazing, there was fresh orange juice, home made granola, a good selection of fruit and lovely Greek yoghurt. There was also a full English breakfast of your choice that was freshly cooked and plenty of tea, coffee and toast and a good selection of jams plus marmalade and honey. The room was always spotlessly clean and very comfortable, as was the bathroom and the shower was as hot as you wanted it and the beautiful white towels were so soft and fluffy, I forgot to ask Birgitt what her secret was! There was also tea and coffee and fresh milk and water left in the room every day. There is a nice garden at the back with a bench and table to sit at too, and of course we could not forget Murphy the cockapoo, who was also very friendly and very well behaved. We would definitely go back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a central base in southern Cornwall.

What a fabulous guest house. We stayed for 6 nights, our room was spotless as was the en-suite.Tea and coffee making facilities with fresh milk. Birgitt and Paul, our hosts, were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent, including fresh fruit, homemade granola, Greek Yogurt plus a full English or variations of, all cooked to order. As there are a maximum of six guests at anyone time breakfast is served around one central table, it was lovely to chat to the other guests. The three double rooms have their own entrance and there is also plenty of parking. The guest house is about 10 minutes walk from the main town and Helston is a good central place to explore Cornwall from. We would definitely stay here again.

As part of our stay in Cornwall we had the pleasure of staying at The Mandeley Guest House in Helston This is a beautiful place with rooms named after the Daphne Du Maurier novel Rebecca. The guest area had 3 rooms with their own entrance. Our room was very well appointed with tea/coffee facilities and biscuits. We even had luxury dressing gowns. There was also a separate lounge room specifically for the guests to use. There is a separate breakfast room for the guests just a few yards from the 3 rooms. As only 6 of us at any given time, we were able to share a large table together. The breakfast was very good with an array of fresh fruit, cereal, and yogurts together with a full English breakfast. Our hosts Paul & Birgitt were accommodating and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend this guest house and would book it again on our next visit to Helston.

Room (Rebecca) was calm and cosy, yet also situated along a main road which gave access to the key routes, super market and fuel station, we were very pleased with how convenient yet quiet it was! -Plenty of hanging space for clothes -Tea, coffee, bit chocolate available with fresh milk upon request -The slatted bathroom door put people off but was in fact perfectly usable, if different -Pretty garden view -Lounge for guests who want somewhere relaxing to sit and chat (I imagine this would make longer stays much more comfortable) Breakfast: -Plenty of choice (cooked breakfast, toast, jams, honey and condiments, baked items, cereals, yoghurt, mix of fruits) -Home made items were excellent, bread and granola superb - Fresh local ingredients made a big difference - Hot food cooked to order Hosts: - Friendly and courteous - Happy to help with anything - Excellent communication - We even met their very well behaved dog! Overall a wonderful, convenient stay, fairly priced and a great choice for a short stay in Helston

We stayed for four nights and would have been happy to stay for much longer. The host were warm and very welcoming and the house was spotless. Breakfast was served in a comfortable dining room and all food was cooked to order, so arrived at the table piping hot, and there were plenty of alternatives to the "full English" on offer, including home made breads. We didn't use the guest lounge, but it looked very cosy and inviting. Our room was very comfortable, with tea and coffee making facilities - and fresh milk. The bathroom was modern, and like the rest of the house, spotless. We felt very much at home during our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. There is plenty of parking for guests and the house is only a short walk from Helston town centre. The house is conveniently placed for exploring Cornwall and offers a quiet, comfortable place to relax.

Whilst we usually book hotels, The Mandeley looked to be a better option as hotel choice in the little market town is limited to a Premier Inn and not much else. Upon arrival we were not disappointed, the hosts welcomed us as if we were family and showed us to our very well appointed twin room. The beds were extremely comfortable with a good quality of linen to match. The very bathroom bathroom was very well equipped with everything you need. The whole place was pristine and a pleasure to stay in. Breakfasts were exceptional, featuring usual 'full English', etc., along with soft fresh berry fruits, homemade bread, locally produced butter, jams and honey. In short, everything is premium. An interesting feature for this guest-house is that as well as a guest breakfast room there is a very comfortable guest lounge which is available at all times. The owner's quarters are locked separate to guests rooms, though in the same building, meaning that we visitors don't feel that we are imposing on those whose home it is. There is ample onsite parking for all guests and the b and b is only a short stroll from the town centre. We were so pleased with our stay and cannot recommend it enough and can't wait to go back. Our hosts, Birgit and Paul were exceptional hosts. Thank you Mandeley!
