AAnonymous UserA family of three went to Shangdi for fun, and a friend recommended a homestay. The boss and the boss's wife are very nice, enthusiastic pick-up and drop-off, and the route is very clear, so you don't take the wrong way in and out of the park! (This is very important when your legs and waist are about to be broken after playing all day) The homestay is in the village, the environment is very quiet, the cows and horses like it very much, and so does my family. I hope to live here for a month or two without working to cleanse my soul😂 There is a swimming pool in front of the homestay. The temperature is not enough now and it has not been opened. The children like it very much😍 The swing downstairs is also very popular! In addition, the smart toilet in the room is great! Finally, I have to highly praise the pancakes from the boss's breakfast stall. The children ate it for two mornings and didn't eat enough!

WWancanshiniurouxianbingEnvironment: Absolutely stunning, simply perfect. It's like a suburban oasis of a big international city, with quaint bridges and flowing water, offering the best of both worlds – the vibrancy of a metropolis and the tranquility of nature (though no mountains here). All I can say is, the villagers living here must have one of the highest happiness indexes in the country. Hygiene: Pretty good. I recommend booking rooms with a small courtyard; it's convenient for coming and going. Facilities: The courtyard is quite spacious, but it feels like the owner isn't very diligent, as the landscaping isn't meticulously maintained. A courtyard like this could be filled with flowers in summer if seeds were sown in spring. It's a shame the owner hasn't really put effort into maintaining such a beautiful space. Service: Aside from serving breakfast, there's basically no other service. There's a middle-aged man at the front desk who doesn't seem like a typical service staff member; he lacks basic service awareness. Overall, everything else is great, but the service falls short. Unlike owners in other guesthouses who greet you warmly upon arrival and bid you a friendly farewell, this place doesn't offer that. Perhaps the man isn't the owner, but just someone minding the shop. Distance to Disney: It's arguably the closest guesthouse. A taxi ride from the subway station to Disney costs 15 yuan, which is quite good. I would definitely stay here again. Oh, and a side note! The self-built houses in the villages in front of the guesthouse have dogs that are very aggressive and aren't leashed. When I was walking around, two dogs kept barking at me and followed me at a distance, making my heart pound with fear that they might bite me.

YYiwang_jiushiguang’’The room design was really unique, with lots of Mickey elements. The courtyard also had a beautiful carousel and swings, and on the first floor, there was an indoor play area and a cat house. The rooms were all very spacious and well-equipped. We booked a room with a bathtub, and the owner thoughtfully provided bath bombs, disposable tub liners, and toilet seat covers. The hotel provided a complete set of amenities, and the owner's service was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. Worried that we, coming from the north, wouldn't be used to the lack of heating in the south, they waited up for us no matter how late we returned and would pre-warm our room with the air conditioning. Every day, they prepared breakfast for us and would confirm our daily itinerary in advance, helping us arrange routes and shuttle services and offering travel advice. The owner also had stroller rentals available, which is an absolute must-have if you're going to Disneyland, and the price was affordable. They even provided a cozy blanket, so warm that our child had no trouble sleeping in the stroller. I must mention that the owner also offers one-on-one park butler service, which is an incredible value and a must-book! The service absolutely exceeded expectations; we didn't push the stroller once the entire time, and except for when our child specifically needed us, the owner was helping to look after them. We had a fully immersive childhood experience ourselves! Plus, hiring the owner as a butler comes with some incredible hidden benefits; it felt like they were practically losing money on the service. We initially only booked one night and then moved to a resort hotel within the park for a luxury experience. After that, we decisively returned to the owner's place for another two nights. The owner truly provides the most sincere service, ensuring guests have an amazing experience. We will definitely choose to stay here again next time we visit Disneyland. On a side note: the owner's little daughter is the same age as my son and is absolutely adorable. She'd gently say, 'Aunty, hug me.' It just melted my heart.

GGuest UserHeres my honest review as this is my first time planning a DIY trip as Malaysian Muslim couple while staying here for 5days early-mid December 2025 Although, we have language barrier for communication but we communicate using google translate. Whatever it is as long as we can understand, they also understand what you are trying to say Transport: They provides transport from airport to the hotel as long as you inform them thru trip.com message. They replied reaaaaally fast. Just tell them when you are arrive to the airport and when you are catching the flight. They will send you to the airport. Its included in their package. Everyday, we took free bus shuttle to the chuansa station from Line 2. You can go anywhere from this metro station. We went to East Nanjiang Station almost everyday. Just tell them 1 hour before you want to catch the bus. Look at their bus timing at the counter. Also tell them as well when you want to go back to the hotel. They will send free bus shuttle from station to the hotel. If you miss the last bus, you can just catch Didi (Grab or Uber in China). We also went to Disneyland on our 3rd day. They provide bus to go to the disneyland and go back to the hotel. Heres my “non related to the hotel” advice: choose middle entrance. Bring your own ready to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner cuz theres no way you find halal food when you are traveling in budget especially for this day. Hotel: They have bidet in the toilet. Find the button beside toilet seat. You may not find the photo but i stayed here, they have bidet. You can also ordered taobao and send to their hotel address. Just inform them that you are expecting some parcel but once you arrived to the hotel, you find your own parcel. Check last 4 digit on order id or your name on the parcel. Theres no food or store around the hotel, so better get anything from the city before you went back to the hotel. Good thing is, its very peaceful to stay here. Here are apps that helps me during the trip: Alipay (compulsory), AMAP for maps, they have in English language, Wechat for communication (esp going back from Disneyland) Halal food we had and takeaway during the trip 1)Guanguanji from (Zhejiang road) 2)Idk what the store called but its between Apple store and a building at East Nanjiang road station Exit 2. 3) the rest i searched halal in mandarin, copy paste translation and search in AMAP. Very useful Conclusion, if i come to shanghai again, i will choose this hotel. Budget friendly, best service

GGuest UserVery easy to check in. We transferred from shanghai south railway station via didi . Location is near taikoo hui, lv flagship cruise landmark . Walking distance is close. Can take metro line 13 or 2 to all tourist spots or walkable down the nan jing east road . Room is same as picture illustrated. Host is very helpful and responsive. Only first day when we checked in,bathroom is clogged. They sent a repairman asap to fix it. Washer and dryer 2in 1 is available. You can bring ur own detergent for laundry. Individual ac unit is cold and work well. Heater is available in bathroom during winter , definitely plus point. WiFi is available. The projector works well , some content needs to be paid. 1 thing I suggest host to provide would be floor towel in bathroom. Would love to stay here again.

GGuest UserMy sisters and I brought my parents to Shanghai for a trip. We originally booked another homestay (around the same price), but it turned out to be very dirty. We wanted to run away in the middle of the night, and that’s when we found this place. To be honest, I liked this homestay the moment I saw the photos, but I didn’t dare trust them at first because the previous place looked great online but was nothing like the pictures in reality. I didn’t have high expectations for homestays in Shanghai anymore… but thank you, ShudeFang Homestay—this place is truly amazing! Although the entrance elevator and the building exterior look a bit old, the moment you open the door, it feels like stepping into a completely different world! It’s a beautifully renovated modern apartment. The space is large, bright, and quite clean—perfect even for families with kids. All the facilities are complete and thoughtfully designed. What impressed me the most is the bathroom—not only does it have a water heater, but there’s also an extra heater installed inside the bathroom itself. Plus, the water pressure is strong, making showers incredibly comfortable. As someone who loves hot showers, this setup is honestly a dream. I no longer step out of the bathroom shivering 🤣. And there’s even a smart washer–dryer combo, which is super convenient! There’s also a bay window area in the room, so even when we opened our large suitcases, it didn’t feel crowded. The location is great too—very convenient to go anywhere. Right downstairs there’s hotpot, milk tea, and coffee. Walk a little further and you’ll find trendy spots that tourists love to check out. Food, drinks, entertainment—everything is within reach! I also want to give extra compliments to the host and their team! They constantly checked in to make sure we were comfortable, and whenever we had an issue, they solved it immediately. Thank you for your warmth, kindness, and hospitality. You made our Shanghai trip full of genuine local warmth! Lastly, if you’re traveling with friends or family and want a spacious place, this homestay is absolutely worth experiencing!

MM228356****As a frequent business traveler, I've stayed in many guesthouses and tend to be a bit of a germaphobe. This guesthouse really nails the cleanliness – the attention to detail is impressive. The decor strikes a perfect balance between style and practicality, you can tell it's run with a lot of care. Customer service is super responsive, and they even thoughtfully recommended a breakfast spot. Even though I only stayed one night, it was a fantastic experience. If I get the chance again, I'd love to bring my family for a longer stay and properly enjoy the area.

AAnonymous UserWe booked it for the location, which is quite good for the price. Facilities: The facilities are decent, and it feels like a place you'd rent if you were just starting out, where things are just functional and quality isn't a priority. Cleanliness: The sheets, pillows, and towels were clean, but the overall ambiance was a bit shabby, with rusty faucets, moldy curtains, rickety bathroom shelves, and stained sofas and pillows. Environment: The landlord provided a back door through the kitchen, a shortcut to Yuyuan Road, which was very convenient. However, the lighting is dim late at night, and the restaurant is cleaning, so water, oil, and kitchen waste can be scattered on the grounds. Combined with the unpleasant odor, it might not be suitable for a single woman. Service: All communication was done via WeChat, and the customer service was very responsive, which was reassuring.
