Hot Spring Hotels in Osaka

The room was compact but very comfortable, and impeccably clean. Its location is fantastic, being close to both the subway station and a bustling shopping street. The rooftop features a communal bathing area and an open-air hot spring. It was a thoughtful touch to be able to choose from over a dozen types of shampoos and conditioners, which made the bathing experience incredibly relaxing.

The reception area is huge, with a simple yet elegant design, highlighted by a beautiful staircase that creates a welcoming atmosphere. The dining area is also quite simple, but the food selection was sufficient to give us enough energy for a fun and exciting day at Universal Studios Japan (USJ). The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, making it easy to rest after a long day. The toilet and shower area were very clean, although there was a slight odor whenever the water was turned on or the toilet was flushed. I'm not sure what caused it, but we experienced the same issue at our previous hotel as well. Fortunately, Keihan provided a toilet deodorizing spray, which was a thoughtful touch. One of my favorite features was the hair dryer and hair straightener provided in the room. They were of excellent quality and very convenient to use. The hotel's location is fantastic. It has its own direct access to Universal CityWalk and is also very convenient for reaching USJ. I absolutely loved staying at this hotel! The staff were easy to communicate with, friendly, and all spoke English, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only downside was the steam bath on the 31st floor, which requires an additional fee. Personally, I think this should be included as part of the hotel's amenities and made complimentary for all guests. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, convenience, excellent facilities, and outstanding location near USJ.

I stayed here in mid-August. You can take the JR from Kansai Airport directly to Bentencho Station without any transfers. After exiting the station at the north exit, follow the signs and walk up a slope through a long corridor to reach the commercial street. Continue walking until you see the FamilyMart convenience store directly opposite the hotel's second floor. You can check in on the first floor. The lady at the check-in counter was very nice. There were complimentary DHC makeup remover and skincare samples at the counter, so it's fine even if you don't bring your own. I stayed on the 47th floor. It was a slight disappointment that the Japanese-style bathroom didn't have a separate wet and dry area (the bathroom was quite small, and personally, I found the toilet door uncomfortable, and the hairdryer wasn't very powerful). The room size was adequate, and the bed was very comfortable and clean. There was a mini-fridge, a coffee machine with capsule coffee and tea, and also tea bags. The view from the window was absolutely stunning! It was very quiet, and the room was cleaned daily. I stayed for 4 days, and check-out was very convenient at 11 AM; just returning the room card was all that was needed. The hotel price was very reasonable, and it was great. I would definitely stay here again! Directly below the hotel is Solaniwa Onsen. Very close by are the Lopia supermarket, Daiso, a drug store, and a bookstore. You don't need to go far to shop for anything, making it a great place for last-minute purchases, though they close quite early; the supermarket closes at 8 PM. There's a Life supermarket about an 8-minute walk from the hotel that's open until midnight. About a 15-minute walk from the hotel, there's also a large Don Quijote, which even has a Book Off bookstore. The only thing is, when going to take the JR and walking through that corridor, it felt a bit challenging to drag a heavy, full 28-inch suitcase... even though there are ramps, you still have to go up and down.

★★★★★ 5/5 Had a wonderful stay at CANDEO HOTELS Osaka Shinsaibashi and would happily return again. The location is honestly one of the biggest highlights — incredibly convenient. The hotel is directly connected to the lively Shinsaibashi area, with shopping and food everywhere around you. Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street is right nearby and leads all the way towards Dotonbori, making it perfect for exploring on foot. Daimaru and many well-known shopping malls are also within easy walking distance. One thing that made this hotel feel unique was the atmosphere around the rooftop Sky Spa. The rooftop bath area feels peaceful and calming despite being in the middle of the city, especially at night after a full day of shopping and walking. Such a beautiful way to unwind. The hotel itself was very clean, modern and surprisingly spacious for Osaka standards. We never felt cramped and had enough room to settle in comfortably. Another fun surprise — MiPig Cafe is only a short walk away across the area (around a few minutes), which we really enjoyed visiting. We also tried the in-room massage service after a long shopping day and it was amazing. Pricing felt reasonable and it was honestly one of the best decisions after walking so much. Excellent location, comfortable stay, relaxing bath experience and thoughtful facilities — definitely a 5-star experience for us and would stay again next trip to Osaka ❤️

Tbh it’s such a wonderful hotel, great stay with my family. Price wise may be slightly higher but the I love it because of the hotspring. Almost hotspringing every single day. The staff service is also wonderful! They are really very kind and helpful. Definitely coming back! They have free drink bar as well! Check it out, it’s a small hidden gem. ;)

I deliberated for a long time over which hotel to book and finally settled on Hanshin. After checking in, I completely forgot that my booking included breakfast. It would have cost over 100 RMB per person for breakfast if I'd had to pay at the hotel, so getting two breakfasts included with a 600 RMB per night room felt like a huge saving! Although the breakfast didn't have a massive selection, everything I tried was perfectly to my taste. On the first day, I ate breakfast around 7 AM and didn't feel hungry again until my second meal at 6 PM. The room, though small, was clean, tidy, and incredibly quiet. On the second day, when the staff asked if I needed room cleaning, I declined and instead asked for a bottle of hand soap. It was POLA hand soap, which is exclusive to hotels and not available for purchase elsewhere. The hotel is super convenient from Kansai Airport; you can take the JR rapid express directly to Fukushima Station for 1180 JPY per person. From the station, it's just about 50 meters across the road. It's also within walking distance of Yodobashi Camera and Hankyu Department Store. I highly recommend this hotel – it's excellent value for money!

This one just beats all my other stays in Japan, it was seriously that good. The location is near Umeda Station, a super quick three-minute walk, and it was so easy to find amazing local cuisine nearby. The public bath is the absolute MVP here. I was totally not expecting someone with a tattoo on the back like me to be allowed in, but it was fine. My Japanese friend even said, ”Your public bath is way too good to be the one of a hotel, it should be a private public bath.” The quality is superb, and the amenities are fully equipped with everything you have in your own bathroom: hair spray, shampoo, hair conditioner, sponge, razor, nail clipper, nourishing cream, toothbrush, toothpaste and woww a lot. You put heart in every detail. It was my first experience with a Japanese public bath, and it was the best. The staff are super friendly but still uphold guests’ privacy. Having a lot of guests, it was surprisingly enough to sleep. Just one quick recommendation: The hostel requires a daily check-in even when you book consecutive days. For us, it was no problem sorting out and communicating with staffs. But some foreign guests seemed a bit confused by the process. If they could clarify that for non-Japanese speakers better, the place would be beyond perfect! Thanks for the excellent experience!

Location of this hotel is insane, the service is good, the hotel lobby can connect to Lawson without going out to the street. But! I think Namba is a little bit chaos, normally I always stayed at Yodoyabashi, Shin Osaka and Umeda district, I think these three districts are quieter, I stayed here and hear 🚨 every night which effect my sleep quality. Anyway, the onsen is very relax and natural, and there are plenty of ice creams for free, night time ramen for free, and two massage bed for free (lots of people queues here, so be hurry!). And the room has some brown watermark on the wall so not much clean, but don’t expect much because it’s budget hotel, with all these free amenity I appreciate it so much and I couldn’t complain much. This is a Japanese hotel chain; I had a good experience staying at one in Tokyo before! The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from JR Namba Station and also a 10-minute walk to Shinsaibashi. It's easily accessible from Kansai Airport by subway in about 40 minutes, and Universal Studios is 50 minutes away by subway. The surrounding area offers great convenience for dining and shopping. There's a FamilyMart across the street and a 7-Eleven next door. Daimaru department store, Ichiran Ramen, and Don Quijote are all within walking distance. It's a quiet spot amidst the hustle and bustle, making it a great choice for shopping and transfers. The hotel facilities are very new, and the service is excellent. Although the breakfast is simple, it's well-prepared. The hot spring bath is very small, probably full with just four people. Self-service laundry is 200 yen, and drying is free. The room is very compact; once you open your suitcase, it's hard to open the bathroom door. On the ground floor, there's a lobby where you can choose pillows of different firmness and heights.

I loved the view of this hotel from the outside and well as the view from my room. But what I DID NOT LIKE WAS THE BED. The bed was HARDDDDD. Loved the heated toilet seats, and the public bath (it was my first time doing that), the PJ set was nice too, you wear them to the public bath and in the room no where else. They provide you with information on how to properly use the public bath.The room was a decent size for the area. 8 min walk from the subway. 20 min walk from Osaka Castle. The area itself is VERY CALM, not to much going on aside from Osaka Castle.
