A nice hotel in the centre of Husum. It is situated a short walk from the harbour. the staff was polite and service-minded, but their English could have been better. Stayed here for two days on my way to France and was pleasantly surprised.

Lovely stay at this old place near city center and harbour with social life and restaurants.. Good a**osphere, wonderful pool, charming breakfast place and cozy lobby. Unfortunately no option for drinks when we were there because restaurant staff had left early due to no guests.

Message to the owner:
The hotel is unfortunately stuck in its time.
Well maintained and not worn out, but unfortunately not up to date.
No accessible sockets for charging cell phones, no WiFi in the swimming pool. No light for reading in the swimming pool.
Cappuccinos and the like as well as fried eggs at breakfast are charged extra. - Quote: "The boss wants it that way so that we service staff don't always have to run to the kitchen."
The sauna area is from 1995
The small staff takes care of the guests selflessly. But if the hotel management ruins the hotel with cost-cutting measures, the very dedicated employees can't do anything.
The standard is about a 3-star hotel and the hotel cannot currently meet the "connoisseur's" requirements.

Pool area: broken tiles everywhere, broken water jets, some showers didn't work at all, sauna was out of order and only turned on when requested. During our sauna visit, a workman scrubbed the cold pool. We felt our privacy was being disturbed.
Breakfast - not at all commensurate with the stars. Poor quality of food, egg dishes only available for an additional charge.
It was our 3rd stay in this hotel and definitely the last. Hotel service and staff have clearly deteriorated and the best days are clearly behind us. When we checked in, we were asked to pay, even though we had already paid in advance via ******* when booking. We almost paid twice. We booked a double room with an extra bed for a child and paid for it(!) but were given 3 towels or something similar for the extra bed.
