We were treated to such a special few days at The Elephant Camp. The location is strategically located to the airport, the Zembezi National Park, the Falls, and downtown Victora Falls for shopping. The food is fantastic. The staff is incredible.

Just back from a wonderful stay at Elephant Camp. So close to Vic Falls yet it felt so peaceful surrounded by the reserve, Gorgeous tents. Super friendly staff. Great safari experience with knowledgable guides. The team made us feel so welcome. Would recommend!

The Elephant Camp is a group of suites situated about 15-30 minutes from the actual Victoria Falls. The accommodation is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Guests can choose a number of excursions that are included or they will arrange them for you. The food is fine but limited for vegans. They have game drives in the local area but the game is limited. The guide Wonder is special and extremely knowledgeable. The only criticism is it is a relatively lengthy drive to events and the falls.

We were greeted by at least 5 staff members waving, upon our arrival, for our 2 night stay at this camp. We were introduced to our Orientation Guide, Moses who sat us down with a cool drink & started immediately discussing the many OUTSTANDING excursions they offered AND was included in our package stay! The inside of the camp lodge is gorgeous with its cathedral canvas ceilings spacious & offered gorgeous indoor/outdoor dining w/a full service bar & lots of reading material & Art Work to view. The continual service was OUTSTANDING to say the least! While having our lunch, we were entertained by the local Mongoose family scurrying about the foliage. The camp has a beautiful pool & bonfire pit. Onto our Tent #1, a bit of a walk along the boardwalk, but very private. Our 2 twin beds were surrounded by a gorgeous netting for mosquitoes, of which we did not encounter as we were there during a drought (no rain since January 2024)! The bathroom included a single vanity, a footed bathtub & we also had a sitting area w/complimentary full service bar, an outdoor shower & our personal plunge pool w/an outdoor relaxation area, ALL overlooking The Elephant Camp's 5,500 acreage! Unfortunately, this tents location did NOT overlook the watering hole, where animals visit during the day to drink. Our first excursion was the Sundowner Jeep Safari ride to the Batoka Gorge, where we were greeted with an OUTSTANDING Sunset view of the gorge AND Hors D'Oeuvres w/various drinks. Along the way, we saw a Cape buffalo herd, a flock of Marabou Storks & some Antelope. Next morning, we did the 6AM Victoria Falls Sunrise Tour with our very informative Guide! These 1.7KM wide & 855' high falls are so MAJESTIC, a must see & one of the Wonders of the World! After that, we had our amazing breakfast at The Lookout Cafe, overlooking the Batoka Gorge, where we were entertained by the screams of the Zipliners & Swing Drop Liners, lol! Afternoon, presented us with the OUTSTANDING opportunity to experience the Elephant Interaction within The Elephant Camp Sanctuary, where we met/interacted/fed, a herd of 5 rescued Elephants!! Evening meant a Sunset Zambezi River "luxury" Cruise which included lots of Hors D'Oeuvres & drinks AND a herd of Hippopotamus that were feeding, fighting & breeching. Also encountered Crocodiles, various birds & an amazing Sunset! Morning, meant not only check-out but our last amazing excursion, the 15 minute "Flight of the Angels" Helicopter Tour over Victoria Falls! OUTSTANDING & so worth it! We had purchased "The Horizons Signature" package, which not only included ALL those excursions, but also a 2 night stay at The Old Drift Lodge, where we went to after The Elephant Camp 2 nights stay. Now, I want to return & this time, bring my spouse!!

The room was decadent. The bed was luxurious with beautiful soft bedding, cool air conditioning in the tent, a variety of free beverages in the mini fridge and even a jar of cookies and a French press for fresh coffee in the room. I especially enjoyed the private deck with dipping pool and the beautiful large bathroom with a hot shower and soaking tub, so luxurious. The meals were outstanding, Nicholas the chef out did himself with flavorful creative meals for breakfast lunch and dinner each day. The staff were so friendly and kind and very attentive, always smiling and checking in with us. Lenny made us special Kalua milkshakes every night and Providence and Ndazi were so attentive to our every need at each meal, they made us feel like queens. Honestly, the staff gave the best service I’ve ever had while traveling, I will never forget how good it was, I don’t think I could tip them enough to show how grateful I was. Then there was Becky, our driver, who was so patient and even went out of her way to help us buy food at the local market for the villagers. Then of course, I have to talk about Tendoe, our host, the first to greet us upon arrival, she was so relaxed and happy and was so detail oriented and friendly, always greeting us with a smile, checking in with how we were doing each day and effortlessly changing our itinerary with each new idea we had, nothing ever seemed like a problem, she was so accommodating and organized and helped us participate in all the activities we were excited about while also making sure we were relaxed. Finally, I can’t say enough about our guide, his name was Ben, he was incredible!!! He was so knowledgable about the wildlife, the culture and so accommodating when he felt we needed to see more on our game drive. He was very generous with his time and went out of his way to teach us about the wildlife and show us a great time. We had drinks at the closure during sunset then again by the river looking and learning about birds and during back to camp at dusk, it was like a dream, I can’t say enough good things about Ben, please request him if you visit, he is the absolute best! Thank you to Elephant Camp main for an amazing experience, I will reccomend to everyone that wants to visit Victoria Falls.

What a joyous visit we had. Nothing is too much trouble, from the first and every welcome you get, to the food, to the personalised itinerary. Our tent was comfortable, clean and the view gorgeous. The people at elephant camp are absolutely beautiful, inside and out! A magical trip.
