We were extremely happy with our stay at this hotel and thoroughly satisfied with the outstanding service. Even though I wasn’t the easiest guest—having to modify my travel plans when my friend joined me during my stay—the manager went above and beyond to quickly adjust my booking multiple times to accommodate my needs. The hotel itself was impeccably clean, beautifully styled, and staffed with many kind and helpful coworkers. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming experience.

The room is very clean and large, with a beautiful yellow exterior. It is very convenient to take the bus and subway, and the government square is just outside. The breakfast is very rich, and I will stay here again next time I come to Dalian.

LLoski#I stayed at the hotel again after its renovation in 2026, and I really like its understated and minimalist style. The front desk often offers complimentary upgrades when rooms aren't fully booked. The rooms are well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, and I particularly appreciate the many practical small items provided. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, which is great, but do note that there are no shower slippers in the shower cubicle itself; you'll need to contact the front desk or housekeeping to have them sent up. Overall, I'm always very satisfied with my stays here.

GGuest UserThe environment is quite pleasant and uplifting. The decor and location are both great, giving the hotel a wonderful sense of history. However, I was a bit unhappy with the room's design; there were many mirrors facing the bed, which made sleeping uncomfortable at night. Secondly, when we went for the photoshoot, the three retouched photos were sent very slowly, and the photographer seemed reluctant. If the hotel doesn't want to offer this service, they shouldn't use it for marketing in the future. The subsequent photos were also delivered very slowly.
The hotel photoshoot (3 retouched digital photos) was very perfunctory. I'd advise anyone considering this hotel specifically for that service to be cautious.

GGuest UserI arrived at approximately 2:00 PM, and although my room was not yet cleaned due to the holiday period, I understood the situation. I checked into Room 232, the 270-degree sea view room, which was the highest available category at the time of booking.
Unfortunately, several issues significantly affected our stay. The condition of the room facilities was disappointing. In the first bathroom, the flush button was loose and partially detached, and there were visible cracks on the wall. In the second bathroom inside the sea-view bedroom, the door stopper was detached and the drainage system did not function properly.
Additionally, the glass panel near the wardrobe had a long crack, which made us uncomfortable using the area as we were concerned about causing further damage. Most importantly, the refrigerator was not functioning. Although a technician came on the first day and informed us that there was no power supply, no proper resolution was provided. On the second day, another technician was arranged, but we had to wait for a long time, which disrupted our travel plans. Eventually, we were informed that the refrigerator could not be used temporarily. As my family stayed for three nights, this meant we were unable to use the refrigerator for the entire stay and had to leave items with the reception, which was very inconvenient and did not reflect the value of the room.
Regarding cleanliness, the first day was satisfactory. However, on the second day, the housekeeping service appeared rushed. There were hair strands left in the room, and the bed was not properly made — the bed cover was simply pulled over without proper arrangement, and the bedding looked untidy and wrinkled. I was quite disappointed with the cleanliness standards.
Furthermore, the booking was made for three guests, yet only two glasses were provided in the room. There was no tea available, only bottled water. Communication via WeChat was also quite slow when requesting assistance.
On a positive note, the room view was beautiful, the location is excellent, and the staff who assisted us before check-in were helpful. The room design and view are truly impressive. However, after check-in, the overall experience did not meet expectations. Additionally, the mirrors in the room had noticeable stains.
I hope this feedback will be taken into consideration for service improvement. Thank you for your attention.

GGuest UserI stayed in Dalian for 3 nights. The first night was in Dalian city, and the second and third nights were in Jinshitan. I stayed at 3 different hotels, and I honestly think the Hard Rock Hotel deserves a great review. The front desk staff was enthusiastic and very meticulous, and check-in was exceptionally fast. Then, a staff member named 'Yi Yang Qian Xi' (a playful reference to a celebrity, likely implying excellent service) helped carry my luggage to the room, which I found very thoughtful and considerate. Both the hotel's hardware and software aspects left me very satisfied! The key thing is, during the May Day holiday, among hotels in the average price range of 800-1000, the Hard Rock Hotel truly stands out in all aspects. Whether it's the location, the hotel facilities, or the staff's service attitude and professionalism, everything was excellent. This is my genuine review, not a insincere one written to get discounts or gifts, but a true reflection of my stay!

GGuest UserMy friend and I were traveling during a holiday, laden with bags, and I was worried about long queues for check-in. Lisa, knowing we were on vacation, was incredibly thoughtful. She specifically arranged a non-smoking floor room for us and proactively told us where to find popular local snacks, bubble tea shops, and shopping areas near the hotel. She clearly explained taxi routes and walking directions and even reminded us to be careful when going out at night. She was truly as considerate as a friend.
Walking into the room, I was immediately impressed. The cleanliness was impeccable, the room was spacious, and the layout was cozy and comfortable, creating a great vibe for photos, perfect for a girls' trip. Throughout our stay, whenever we saw Lisa entering or exiting the hotel, she would always greet us with a smile. When we needed disposable items or extra bottles of water on short notice, we just mentioned it to the front desk, and Lisa would immediately help us out. Her attitude was consistently excellent – patient and thorough, never perfunctory. The hotel's cleaning staff were also very diligent, tidying the room on time every day, making the beds, replenishing supplies, and keeping everything spotless.
Lisa is such a gentle, warm, and detail-oriented person who always puts guests first. Her service was exceptionally thoughtful and down-to-earth, making our stay incredibly comfortable and reassuring. The Shangri-La's location is also very convenient, whether you're going to the airport or attractions. My bestie and I will definitely choose this hotel again next time we visit this area!

MMilisuo65This loft hotel is absolutely fantastic! We had a sea-view room overlooking Donggang Yacht Marina. The room was fully equipped, with free WiFi and a large projector, making it perfect for families with kids – you can keep an eye on them while still having your own space. The hotel's location is excellent, just one street away from the beach, so it's super convenient to walk there. There's a parking lot downstairs and street parking available too. The owner is very warm and welcoming, and recommended Kaidan Plaza nearby for food, which has a great variety of dining options. We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Donggang!

RRobinMowatBooked 2 rooms on a higher floor to enjoy the city views. Unfortunately there was a noticeable toilet smell in both rooms. Reporting this to the hotel staff we were allocated alternative rooms. They still had a smell but it was less pungent than the others. Having stayed at this hotel a few years ago, its showing signs of tiredness in fixtures, fittings and facilities. We were told the hotel will be refurbished in the year ahead.
Breakfast buffet is good with a wide selection of western and Asian cuisines. It gets busy, especially at the weekend.
There is a decent sized pool though the changing rooms are in need of refurbishment to bring it up to the standard of other 5 star properties in the city.
Room rates are currently low to reflect the hotels current situation, as told by a manager when the room smell was reported. Still a great stay thanks to its location and breakfast offering and the room rates.
Look forward to its refurbishment in the future.

AAnonymous UserThis stay was fantastic! The deluxe ocean view king room exceeded my expectations. The 90-degree ocean view plus the Venice night view was incredibly soothing. Sunlight streamed into the 52㎡ space through the large windows, making it warm and bright. The washing machine, kitchen, and underfloor heating were all very practical. The free Wi-Fi was super fast, and the room was cleaned daily. They even provided toiletries and a razor! 🥹 The thoughtful details and stunning views made me want to come back again. I highly recommend it to my friends!

GGuest UserI originally booked a king-size bed room without windows, but when I checked in, the front desk lady upgraded me to a family room for free. It has an extra-large double bed and a single bed. The room is large and well decorated. It is very close to Xi'an Road subway station. The price/performance ratio is great. I will stay here again next time. I highly recommend it.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel accepts foreigners. Great location, a walking distance from Dalian Station, essentially on Zhongshan Square. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was good, there's even a washing machine (didn't use it though). The staff was kind and helpful. Perhaps the only problem was that the room card didn't work, so I had to get a password, which also expired daily at midnight, and I had to contact the reception to get a new one. But that's not how it's supposed to be, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Overall, a great option.
