I’ve been to many hostels, but this is definitely one of the best I’ve stayed in. One of the biggest plus points for me is the location — it’s only about a 2-minute walk to Ximending, which is super convenient.
When I arrived, everything was clean and modern. What really makes me happy in a hostel is cleanliness, and this place definitely delivers. And the TOWELS — that’s everything to me!
The staff are also very nice, friendly, and speak English, which makes everything so much easier. The rooms are fully air-conditioned even when it’s already 17°C outside.
Another amazing bonus: free laundry! Honestly, that’s such a big deal when traveling.
What I appreciated the most was how kind and accommodating the staff were. My checkout was on March 7 at 11 AM, but my flight was at 12 AM the next morning (March 8). They kindly allowed me to leave my things and stay around the hostel while I explored Taipei for the day. When I came back before heading to the airport, they even let me take a shower before my flight. That kind of hospitality really means a lot to travelers.
This is probably one of my favorite hostels now, and I can’t wait to come back!

The hotel how far away from Metra station . The staff were friendly and supportive, which made the stay pleasant. Unfortunately, the restaurant was not hygienic, and the breakfast was not good. I hope the hotel improves the cleanliness and food quality.

The bosses are very friendly and nice.

The hotel, though a bit old, is conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from Ximending. The breakfast selection is decent and more varied than at Walker. However, it would be better if the breakfast area were open all day so guests could easily grab water and coffee whenever they needed. The receptionists also seemed a bit cold and didn’t greet us when we returned from a long day of sightseeing. Despite these, we still recommend this hotel and will choose it as our go-to hotel if we’re in Taipei due to its prime location and value for money.

We stayed at Artinn Kunming Hotel for a week during our trip to Taiwan, and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish.
The receptionists were exceptionally friendly and approachable, always greeting us with warm smiles and making us feel genuinely welcome. They were also incredibly helpful whenever we had questions about directions, recommendations, or local attractions — going above and beyond to assist us in every way.
The hotel itself is clean, modern, and very well-maintained. The room was comfortable and thoughtfully designed, with all the amenities we needed for a pleasant and relaxing stay. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to public transportation, restaurants, and shops.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Whether you're in Taiwan for business or leisure, Artinn Kunming Hotel is a great place to stay. We’re truly grateful for the hospitality and would definitely come back again!

Rooms are big and spacious. Very clean and near Longshan Temple metro station which is on the blue line.
One biggest minus are the lifts. It is so crowded during peak hour. Make sure to ask for level 21 and above as level 10 to 20 rooms will need to szueeze with crowds to cafe, swimming pool. You need at least 20 mins to get into one lift. Every single amenities are chargeable so bring all your own.

The location is super convenient, on the same row as Ah Chung Mee Sua and close to Ximending MRT. You're right in the Ximending shopping district as soon as you step out. The Yonghe Soy Milk and breakfast shops downstairs are both delicious. The room facilities aren't brand new, but they're still decent.

We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The breakfast provided was enjoyable and of good quality. The hotel is conveniently located near Ximen MRT station, which made traveling very easy.
The hotel also offers a shuttle bus service, which is very helpful for guests. However, advance reservation is required. The service starts from 10:00 AM, with buses running every 30 minutes, and the last shuttle departs at 2:30 PM.
We stayed at the hotel for six days and five nights, and we appreciated that room service and housekeeping were arranged almost daily.
One area for improvement would be the bed linen, as it was not changed every day. We hope the hotel can pay more attention to this aspect to further enhance guests’ comfort.
Overall, we had a pleasant experience and appreciate the services provided.

The hotel is in a very good location, only 2-3 minutes walk from Jiangzicui Exit 2. There are Ikko Coffee, Jialefu, Fat Daddy, Hot Pot Restaurant, McDonald's, 7-11, and Family Mart along the way. You don't have to go hungry. There is a bidet in the room. Cable TV. I stayed for 3 consecutive nights, but the TV had no signal on the second night and couldn't watch it. There was a sticker on the TV box saying that you can't change rooms or check out because the TV can't be watched. The wallpaper inside the room is old and warped. I don't recommend staying here. The hotel staff is very friendly. Breakfast is at McDonald's next door

SStella_CThe location is amazing! From Taipei Main station exit Z2 or M6. Go to the building and reception is at level 5. Many food places nearby, including local and international chains, and Starbucks as well. Staff are generally friendly. However, we were plagued by mosquitoes in the room everyday and every night, had to keep fighting them. The air con control panel is a dud. It's actually central air conditioning yet they just told us it is slow to adjust. As a result we were freezing through the first part of the night then too warm for the 2nd part. When it gets too cold, even if we turn off the air con, we can feel the cold air continue to come out of the vents. When I asked if it's possible to change room, reception claimed they were fully booked. Not my best stay in Taiwan I'm afraid. I guess its great for those who prefer rooms constantly around 21-22 Celcius.

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right opposite the Y13 exit. First off, you'll need to climb stairs to reach the service counter as there's no elevator. The bathroom is en-suite, and they provide lockers. As for the bed setup, there's a small space at the head for personal items, and extra room at the foot of the bed for your luggage, backpack, and other belongings, which really helps create a more private feel. They offer a simple breakfast including toast, buns, shaomai, coffee, and tea.

Check in gets faster with your reply to the property telling them what type of room you have booked and what time you'll arrive. With booming businesses and too many bookings, the staff might get entangled in mess, so partially you reply is helping them to get grounded and avoid mistakes.
The property is clean, neat, nice and next to easy transport and family mart and 7e.

Also because it's basement room, there is a constant musky smell emitting from the toilet and filled up the room pretty fast. Have request for a change of room but it is similar issue. Overall it's a comfortable stay near XMD but the room smell is pretty bad.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is great, and it's also close to Taipei Main Station. If you're taking the Airport MRT, I recommend exiting from Taipei Main Station A1, Exit 5. From there, you can walk straight to the hotel, which takes about 10 minutes (including waiting for traffic lights).
The nearby MRT stations are NTU Hospital Station (3-minute walk) and Taipei Main Station (7-minute walk). There are also many bus stops, making transportation very convenient.
Regarding the check-in experience, the hotel lobby is on the 3rd floor, and guest rooms for this hotel occupy floors 3-5. There are only two elevators, and since the building houses other businesses, waiting for an elevator can take a while.
The front desk staff were professional and efficient. Before check-in, there was about a minute-long 'rap' outlining the check-in policies.
The hotel bed was comfortable, and the room and bathroom were clean. It seems to have been recently renovated, as it felt spacious and bright. Soundproofing was acceptable; I could still hear cleaning noises from outside and sounds from the adjacent room. I chose a room with a window this time, but the window couldn't be opened.
Amenities provided were limited to slippers and toilet paper. The shampoo and shower gel were a 2-in-1 product, with a light, pleasant scent and no strange odors.
Overall, it was a pretty good stay, even exceeding my expectations.

One of the first things we noticed was the beautiful, refreshing scent in the lobby and all through the hallways—it made coming back to our room feel so relaxing. The breakfast buffet was superb with a fantastic variety of food. Plus, the location is unbeatable; it's highly accessible to transportation and very close to all the top tourist spots. The room looked better than I expected – not too small, not too big, just right for two people. The soundproofing isn't great, but the bed is soft and comfortable. The bathroom doesn't have a lock on the door, just a partition, and there's no bidet shower. The surrounding area has plenty of shops and is convenient for getting around, being close to the subway.
