Overall great experience at Eclat Taipei
The good:
- great service and attitude, free welcome drink, friendly staff, decent breakfast, mini bar with actual stuff in it for free
- central location
- great value for money
Could be improved:
- no usb sockets
- an iron and board in the room would be useful for business travelers
- room is a bit small
Overall enjoyed my stay (for business) and will stay here again

Hotel Uketamo is Taiwan’s first wellness-focused healing hotel and the fifth original brand created by the Forte Hotel Group.
The name “Uketamo” is a phonetic adaptation of the core philosophy of Japanese Yamabushi Shugendō — “Uketamo (承もう),” meaning “to accept everything.”
This idea resonates deeply with Laozi and Zhuangzi’s principle of “going with nature,” as well as Nietzsche’s concept of Amor Fati — the love of one’s fate.
By embracing every aspect of life, Uketamo, when read in reverse, echoes the idea of awakening — a moment of clarity where one lets go, settles into mindfulness, and attains inner calm.
Only with such clarity can the best decisions truly be made.

This newly opened hotel boasts a super convenient location, right by Zhongxiao Fuxing Station, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the city buzz. Both the facilities and rooms are spick and span. I booked their standard room, which was perfectly adequate for one person. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the toiletries were excellent. Overall, it's a great find if you're looking for a quiet haven in the city. Plus, there are tons of fantastic food options and two Sogo department stores all within walking distance.

Swiio daan was a great place of stay! With it being near alot of area of interest for tourist, the amenities provided to us were nothing to be shy about either. Aside from providing the daily necessities, they went far and beyond to provid additional services such as hair & nail care, sneaker care.
They also went an extra mile to follow up with us on our daily room cleaning.
Will definitely stay here again!

The facilities are quite basic and definitely not up to 4-star standards. The soundproofing in the room is poor; I could hear the TV from other rooms at night. The refrigerator was also very noisy. There's a dark red night light in the room that can't be turned off, which disturbed my sleep. Overall, it was quite disappointing.

Free snacks and drinks are available on the ground floor, and the service is excellent, with a good location to boot. However, the hotel's biggest drawback is its outdated facilities. My room didn't have a window, and in a twin room, only one bed had a bedside light switch, and neither had power outlets at the headboard, which was quite inconvenient.

Everything was great, and the price was reasonable, but there were way too many mosquitoes. Other hotels don't have this many.

It's just a 10-15 minute walk to Zhongxiao East Road shopping area, and Yongkang Street and Daan Forest Park are also within easy reach. The room was spacious and clean, the street was quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. Excellent value for money!

Dandy Hotel Daan Park is a nice little hotel in a quiet part of town. There is an MRT Exit right next to it, but we only used it once because that exit (Exit 1) only has steep steps. We used Exit 6 (1 short block away) so that we could use the escalator/elevator. The bus stop is also close to Exit 6, and we found it more convenient to take the bus to CKS Memorial and Ximending rather than the MRT. Breakfast was just ok. They serve lu rou fan on some days, which is great. We didn't get to use the laundry machines, but they're available 24/7, for free. It's also very convenient to have a 7-11 right next door, a pharmacy across the street, and a Subway outlet next to the Da'an Park MRT Exit 1. Check-in and check-out were both easy. There is only one elevator, which can get busy in the mornings when people are going down to breakfast/checking out, but it wasn't too bad. Housekeeping did not wash used cups, which was disappointing, but the bathrooms were always cleaned well. We also liked that there's an air purifier in the hallway and in our room.

Stayed here last year and had a great experience! This time, though, there were two disgusting wads of tissue left in the nightstand drawer. The next day, the small spoon for my coffee cup was still sticky, like it had just been rinsed with water. The cleaning staff really needs to improve their standards!!!

Very Good
SS93reExcellent as always. However they stopped providing disposables which might affect some travelers. Do note that you cannot clock hilton points when booking on trip.
KkhtravelThe hotel's interior decor is stunning, with a strong Japanese feel. The rooms are clean and spacious, featuring a private onsen and yukata. Plus, there are complimentary drinks and snacks. If you check in around 3 PM, you can enjoy a tea ceremony performance with free green tea and snacks. Breakfast offers a wide and delicious selection!
SStella_CThe location is amazing! From Taipei Main station exit Z2 or M6. Go to the building and reception is at level 5. Many food places nearby, including local and international chains, and Starbucks as well. Staff are generally friendly. However, we were plagued by mosquitoes in the room everyday and every night, had to keep fighting them. The air con control panel is a dud. It's actually central air conditioning yet they just told us it is slow to adjust. As a result we were freezing through the first part of the night then too warm for the 2nd part. When it gets too cold, even if we turn off the air con, we can feel the cold air continue to come out of the vents. When I asked if it's possible to change room, reception claimed they were fully booked. Not my best stay in Taiwan I'm afraid. I guess its great for those who prefer rooms constantly around 21-22 Celcius.
GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right opposite the Y13 exit. First off, you'll need to climb stairs to reach the service counter as there's no elevator. The bathroom is en-suite, and they provide lockers. As for the bed setup, there's a small space at the head for personal items, and extra room at the foot of the bed for your luggage, backpack, and other belongings, which really helps create a more private feel. They offer a simple breakfast including toast, buns, shaomai, coffee, and tea.
SSimYenHotel location is very convenient, just behind Mitsukoshi Department and across Taipei Main Station. Very good for catching early morning train as us. Look out for the lift lobby, is just beyond the boba tea shop, lobby is 5th level. Plenty of food options around the area.
SSiva Rama 256Check in takes only 5 minutes and check out much more faster with 10 seconds with a self check out machine that will suck in your room card.
Check in gets faster with your reply to the property telling them what type of room you have booked and what time you'll arrive. With booming businesses and too many bookings, the staff might get entangled in mess, so partially you reply is helping them to get grounded and avoid mistakes.
The property is clean, neat, nice and next to easy transport and family mart and 7e.
AAnonymous UserGotten a basement room, the room is clean but kinda small to open up the luggage. Also because it's basement room, there is a constant musky smell emitting from the toilet and filled up the room pretty fast. Have request for a change of room but it is similar issue. Overall it's a comfortable stay near XMD but the room smell is pretty bad.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is great, and it's also close to Taipei Main Station. If you're taking the Airport MRT, I recommend exiting from Taipei Main Station A1, Exit 5. From there, you can walk straight to the hotel, which takes about 10 minutes (including waiting for traffic lights).
The nearby MRT stations are NTU Hospital Station (3-minute walk) and Taipei Main Station (7-minute walk). There are also many bus stops, making transportation very convenient.
Regarding the check-in experience, the hotel lobby is on the 3rd floor, and guest rooms for this hotel occupy floors 3-5. There are only two elevators, and since the building houses other businesses, waiting for an elevator can take a while.
The front desk staff were professional and efficient. Before check-in, there was about a minute-long 'rap' outlining the check-in policies.
The hotel bed was comfortable, and the room and bathroom were clean. It seems to have been recently renovated, as it felt spacious and bright. Soundproofing was acceptable; I could still hear cleaning noises from outside and sounds from the adjacent room. I chose a room with a window this time, but the window couldn't be opened.
Amenities provided were limited to slippers and toilet paper. The shampoo and shower gel were a 2-in-1 product, with a light, pleasant scent and no strange odors.
Overall, it was a pretty good stay, even exceeding my expectations.
(Attached: hotel check-in instructions, a picture before check-out, and the nearest Airport MRT exit to the hotel.)
GGuest UserWe had an absolutely wonderful and satisfying stay at Palmer Hotel! One of the first things we noticed was the beautiful, refreshing scent in the lobby and all through the hallways—it made coming back to our room feel so relaxing. The breakfast buffet was superb with a fantastic variety of food. Plus, the location is unbeatable; it's highly accessible to transportation and very close to all the top tourist spots. A perfect stay from start to finish!
GGuest UserThe accommodation is clean, and you can have the housekeeper clean your room and change towels daily. The room looked better than I expected – not too small, not too big, just right for two people. The soundproofing isn't great, but the bed is soft and comfortable. The bathroom doesn't have a lock on the door, just a partition, and there's no bidet shower. The surrounding area has plenty of shops and is convenient for getting around, being close to the subway.
