Hotels near Ximending, Taipei

This is my first time staying at this hotel. Pro: 1) Good location. Easy access to two MRT stations on the red line. Quite a lot of shops and restaurants in the vicinity. 2) the bed is very big and quite comfortable to sleep on. 3) the room is spacious comparing with other hotels at the same price range. Cons: 1) Very dated room without maintenance. There’s wear and tear all over the places. There were some stains on the wall and molds were found inside the shower cubicle. The carpet looked quite dirty but the slippers provided were very thin. 2) Weird layout of the room. The toilet area is in open plan which make you unable to have privacy when going to shower. In the room I stayed in, a pillar was blocking the view of the TV from the toilet area. 3) the lights in the room are quite dim and the room became very cold at night (even I turned the air conditioner to 30 degrees!). I stayed there alone and didn’t really like the feeling.

Swiio hotel is strategically located at the heart of Ximending. The room is great for couples, I’m not sure if it will be good for friends because you’ll see the silhouette of your roommate in the bathroom. You’ll even smell everything. So make sure you get along well with your friend if you’ll get the room. But if you are a couple this is definitely a steal!!! Everything went smooth. We got an upgrade so can't complain. However at the check in a lady that I thought was a guest come to us asking for our room number. She had no uniform or badge, she was dressed very bad so I thought was someone crazy, but turns out she was working there and they wanted to make sure our restroom was working fine. Still it was weird, at least she should have introduced herself. I understand it's Taiwan but anywhere abroad I would have been really concerned.

We stayed at Artinn Kunming Hotel for a week during our trip to Taiwan, and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. The receptionists were exceptionally friendly and approachable, always greeting us with warm smiles and making us feel genuinely welcome. They were also incredibly helpful whenever we had questions about directions, recommendations, or local attractions — going above and beyond to assist us in every way. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and very well-maintained. The room was comfortable and thoughtfully designed, with all the amenities we needed for a pleasant and relaxing stay. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to public transportation, restaurants, and shops. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Whether you're in Taiwan for business or leisure, Artinn Kunming Hotel is a great place to stay. We’re truly grateful for the hospitality and would definitely come back again!

Small room for solo traveller but gets the job done. Ximending is 5-10 min walk. Breakfast buffet is meh. Amenities nothing much. Smoking place is held at first floor but they removed it recently, not sure why. Aircon temp cant be change, only the fan speed. All in all. Pretty decent hotel.

The room description was misleading. There's a window in the bathroom, but when you close the bathroom door, it's just like a windowless room. The showerhead was broken, and the room had a slight musty smell. The location is great, very convenient for transportation and close to Ximending. It's okay for a short, temporary stay. I had planned to extend my stay, but the price didn't match the living conditions, so I decided to switch to the nearby Sanyuan Hotel, which offers excellent living conditions, service, and value.

We had an absolutely wonderful and satisfying stay at Palmer Hotel! One of the first things we noticed was the beautiful, refreshing scent in the lobby and all through the hallways—it made coming back to our room feel so relaxing. The breakfast buffet was superb with a fantastic variety of food. Plus, the location is unbeatable; it's highly accessible to transportation and very close to all the top tourist spots. A perfect stay from start to finish!

Great location, very convenient for transport. Ximending Night Market is right next door, so it has a fantastic lively atmosphere! Both the MRT and High-Speed Rail are easily accessible. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and the cleaning auntie upstairs was also very diligent. The breakfast was good, with both Western options and local ********* dishes like Lu Rou Fan (braised pork rice) and Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings). While not super extensive, it's more geared towards business travelers. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Taiwan!

Great stay! The location is super strategic—right in the heart of Ximending, so it’s very easy to find food, shopping, and public transport. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and I love that they provide a pantry where we can refill drinking water anytime. The staff are also friendly and helpful. Perfect choice if you want a convenient and pleasant stay in Taipei.

The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from Ximen area. The room size is comfortable, the bed is cozy, and the bathroom is clean and functional. Although the bathroom door is a glass type without a lock, it’s not an issue at all. The only downside is that the Wi-Fi speed is a bit slow. Overall, it’s a pleasant stay and good value for money.
