I recently stayed at the Britannia Hotel in Manchester and wanted to share my thoughts. Location: The location is definitely one of the hotel’s strongest points. It’s super accessible to all forms of transport, whether you’re arriving by train, bus, or tram. It’s right in the city center, so you can easily explore Manchester without much hassle. Parking: The parking arrangement is convenient if you’re driving, especially with free parking between 8 pm and 8 am. Outside of those hours, you’ll need to pay, so keep that in mind if you’re staying for longer stretches. Hotel Condition: This is where the hotel shows its age. The building is very old, and while it has some charm, it could definitely use an upgrade. You can feel the wear and tear in the common areas and some of the rooms. Rooms: The rooms are a mixed bag. The basic rooms are just that—basic. They’re not particularly comfortable, and if you’re picky about where you sleep, you might feel underwhelmed. However, if you go for one of the upgraded rooms, the experience is much better. Those rooms feel cleaner and more inviting. Breakfast: Breakfast is a solid deal at just £9. It’s not a luxury spread, but it gets the job done. You’ll find the usual options for a budget-friendly hotel breakfast. Staff: The staff are a highlight of the hotel. They’re very kind and helpful, making you feel welcome from check-in to check-out. Value for Money: Overall, this is a budget-friendly hotel, so you do get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a no-frills place to stay in a central location and don’t mind the dated vibe, it works. However, if comfort and modern amenities are a priority, you might want to explore other

Hotel was fine, room clean. Reading reviews after booking was really worried but all was OK. Travelled with young child. Had time show ID and child ID too. Lovely idea to put heater and fan in room to make more comfortable. Not sure if they upgraded us or not as got a better room than booked. All in all excellent location and value for money

I really enjoyed my stay during my first visit to Greater Manchester to see my favourite live band. The hotel is in a perfect location, right next to a Wetherspoon pub and close to Piccadilly Station. My room was spacious, with a big, comfortable bed, a spotless bathroom, and a lovely city view. It also had great extras like a hairdryer, ironing facilities, tea and coffee with a kettle, and a smart TV. I stayed for two nights and would happily return.

I had a lovely time at the hotel. It was a few minutes walk to Manchester Central (Convention centre) where I attended a programme. So that was super convenient. The room was cozy and clean. Ambience in the hotel was nice. The hotel had nice places to get food and snacks within walking distance. The only downside was that my room didn’t have a fridge, I needed one. I don’t remember seeing an iron but I didn’t need one. All else was good 😊

Great location for the centre of Manchester. Just a 5 minute walk away and you’re in the midst of restaurants, shops and bars. Very conveniently located also by Manchester Victoria train station. There’s a free shuttle bus to Piccadilly train station from outside Victoria station. We had a lovely 2 night stay at the Premier Inn, we’ve stayed there on a few occasions.

Had a lovely time with some friends, we only stayed one night but would definitely stay again! off the bat we found service lovely and the room was spotless. Breakfast was very nice as well.

The location is excellent, very close to Chinatown. The hotel offers good value for money, but note that the rooms do not provide mouthwash cups or any kettles. However, the price reflects this; it's a great deal for the city center.

Cosy room that was well heated and clean. The breakfast is cheaper to book beforehand and had an excellent time windowof 6am-midday!
