Everything was good. Super kind and friendly staff. Although I was shock when I first arrived, the traffic in the area were insane. But the staff were super helpful, kind and greets all guest with warmth. Definitely a good hotel with good food nearby. There is indomaret and alfamart nearby should you need to stock up on things too. My room was upgraded too, thank you for that! Would i book again? YES. Rooms were cold and cosy. I love it honestly.
I had a situation whereby my flight suddenly had so many issues and delayed until 7.20pm... checkout time was 12pm. Called them up and enquire on late check out if possible, proceed down to the receptionist and it was settled within minutes.

This is a very new and clean hotel. I've stayed at many Ashley hotels, and overall, this one is pretty good. The breakfast is decent, and the gym is nice. It's located in the city center, which makes it convenient for getting around. I'd definitely consider staying here again.

not good for family or group to stay...you only have 1 key and if one of you go outside, you cant go back to your room without a key because elevator needs your room card...one incident, i go down the lobby and didnt bring card because my friends were staying inside...when i come back in our room at 6th floor, i go with other guests stayed in 7th floor...i go out in elevator at 7th floor and took the stair emergcy exit but when i go down at 6th floor, i cant open the door...it was so traumatizing...good thing i have my phone and call my friend to open the door...over measure forsafety if thats what they intend but too hassle for guests..and also i wonder why family room good for 4 persons only allowed free breakfast for 2? you have to pay too expensive for another 2.

The hotel was recently renovated and it shows, there was no issue with the service and they looked after me beautifully. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable.

Novotel cikini ,good location near the Big mall Grand indonesia that's about 10 minutes by taxi to fo there . And a lot of coffee shop near by. Also the hotel food is taste good ,breakfast is many variant and tasty.
Check in time is fast, check out also very easy. The room is not small enough for 2 big luggage and 1 cabin size. The service is fast, I was ask toothpaste at night at 11pm and they gave me took around 7 minutes after I call them.
Good choice to stay at Novotel cikini, for business trip and also for family trip in Jakarta.

An old-school upscale business hotel. Very good service with friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room with adequate amenities. With international electric sockets that was very convenient for international tourists. A Family Mart and a KFC are just round the corner, Without 10 minutes walk to find many eateries. Not around with shopping centres.
The swimming pool and full-gear gym were excellent!
I'd in particular mention Tria of the lobby lounge. I went to the lounge also every evening throughout my stay, Tria was very friendly and consistently provided excellent service.

We loved our recent 2 night stay. Small but comfortable room, the bed and pillows were perfect, not too soft and not too hard. The staff was friendly and service minded and the location is hard to beat. Breakfast was adequate, would have loved more choices but for the price maybe it's too much to ask for.

QQAComplianceAuditorDuring my stay at Shangri-La Jakarta I faced several issues that, unfortunately, overshadowed the overall experience.
I arrived early for check-in, around 13:20, while the official check-in time is 14:00. The front desk staff spent quite some time processing my registration, checked the availability, and told me that my room was ready, but that the key card could only be issued after 14:00. I was asked to wait and was assured that either someone would come to me, or I could return to the desk at that time.
I waited until 14:00, but no one approached me. At around 14:05 I went back to the reception. The staff member who had originally checked me in was already busy with another guest, and a different employee started assisting me. He began the whole check-in process from scratch, which felt strange, and it quickly became clear that the room that had initially been mentioned was no longer available and that a new room was being assigned.
After I expressed my dissatisfaction, the staff offered an “upgrade” from a Deluxe Room to a Horizon Club Room as a way of compensation. In practice, however, the new room was on a lower floor and did not differ in any noticeable way from the Deluxe category in terms of layout, view or amenities. The benefits of the Horizon Club were not explained to me, so I did not actually use any additional services. As a result, the so-called upgrade felt more like a formality than a real improvement.
The condition of the room itself was generally good. The air conditioning was quiet, there were no unpleasant smells from the bathroom, and the room looked clean and well maintained.
A serious concern for me was the drinking water provided in the room. Large glass bottles were supplied regularly, but the water in them had a strong smell of chlorine and was simply not suitable for drinking. After the hotel contacted me asking if I had any comments, I mentioned this issue. Only then did they start bringing smaller bottles of water that no longer had this smell. This creates the impression that guests are initially given water of questionable quality and that the problem is addressed only when someone complains.
Another recurring issue was the smell of cigarette smoke. My room was non-smoking, and the floor was non-smoking as well, yet from time to time the smell of tobacco appeared in the room, most likely coming through the ventilation. After I reported this, an air freshener was placed in the corridor, but it was removed the next day, and the smell returned. It gives the impression that someone is smoking in areas where it is not allowed, and guests are affected by it.
Breakfast was also disappointing. The restaurant where breakfast is served is organized in a very inconvenient way: you are first shown to your table, but the buffet stations are arranged rather chaotically, so after walking around to get food it is easy to lose track of where your table is. Navigation is not intuitive, and the overall atmosphere is not very comfortable. The food itself did not seem particularly tasty and appeared to be more focused on Asian preferences than on a broader, international audience.
I also visited the lobby restaurant. I tried several dishes there, including a bolognese pasta that was frankly not very good. For comparison, in the nearby shopping mall you can find places that serve the same dish in a much better way and at a lower price.
If you look only at the condition of the rooms, the hotel appears to be of a good standard. However, the level of service, the breakfast experience and the overall value for money, in my opinion, do not match the status that the hotel aims to project. The price of the stay feels high compared to other similar hotels in Jakarta, where both service and food quality can be better while the rates are lower.

IIrdina Rusliwhile it is worth noting that the hotel location is near to grand indonesia & plaza indonesia, I am a bit dissatisfied to the fact I waited 1.5hrs to get my room. I arrived around 4pm++ (keep in mind the supposed check in time is at 3pm), I only got my room at around 5.30pm after complaining. The room was not ready at the time and my family (with elderly) has already been so tired waiting.
All in all, I wish they can at least improve this part but a thumbs up for a good hospitality.

GGuest UserI upgraded to the suites type for access to the swimming pool, because the pool is inside another hotel (vertu) on the same building. The lobby is nice and artistic, the fitness center small, but clean and enough, because it is not so busy. I enjoy the stay because the location is close to the Pecenongan food district. The room is clean and cozy only the bathroom is a bit small. The suites are very nice, large, have a good view, but have the same bathroom size, but have a cool bathtub. It will be nice if the TV is a smart one so we can access Netflix. Overall I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel.

AAnonymous UserOnly the breakfast spread is super. The rooms are old and dark, I was being locked out of my room because the door lock battery ran out, but I was asked to check out asap. I was there to run an event, agreed to check the event room at 9pm but nothing was prepared. Next day morning it is prepared but the coffee tea and the food spread was so limited, its not even 5 star standard. I will never go back there for events

JJettLamstayed at Yuan Garden Pasar Baru Hotel during my trip to Jakarta and it turned out to be a really pleasant experience. The location is excellent—it’s right in Central Jakarta, so I could easily walk to Pasar Baru for some shopping and local food, and big landmarks like Istiqlal Mosque and the Cathedral were just a short ride away. Having the train station nearby was also convenient for exploring other parts of the city.
The hotel itself feels modern and welcoming. My room was spacious, clean, and had all the basics I needed—comfortable bed, good air-conditioning, and a nice view of the city.

ZZeeMyI came here for business visit, the location was great, near Grand Plaza, all tourist spot was walking distance only. But the price of this hotel does not match with what u get. It cost me around RM400++ which i can get more comfiest hotel in Kuala Lumpur. This hotel does not have proper lobby, no waiting lounge if i ordered grab, because u know, Jakarta was jammed all the time, so u need at least decent chair to wait. The room just a standard room only. U can hear your neighbour flush their toilet and chatting, and screaming , that’s why i said the room does not match the price. U can add little money more and stay at another comfy hotel nearby.
