I rented an apartment nearby but it wasn't ready yet, so I stayed at this hotel for two days after landing. It's very close to the Central Station; just head right from the north exit, walk straight until you hit the main road, then turn left and you're there. It's about a 15-30 minute walk, depending on your pace. The room facilities are simple and clean. I needed to print a couple of pages temporarily, and the front desk staff kindly printed them for free. The pictures show the surrounding street and neighborhood. Right across from the hotel, you can catch various buses that take you downtown, and you can get off right at the hotel entrance on your way back. Tapping your credit card for boarding and alighting is very convenient. Within about a 15-minute walk, there's a Turkish supermarket, an Aldi, and an AH supermarket, so finding food isn't an issue, but I didn't see any bakeries or coffee shops.

The bed was uncomfortable and too hard, and the lighting wasn't bright enough. Hygiene was okay, but there were no coffee amenities. The location is quite central, and the service was decent. Most facilities were available, so it's basically passable.

The hotel is on main street and it is very noisy at night. The bar nearby keeps playing loud music and many cars racing outside.
Other than that, everything is good.

The hotel itself is like a mini museum. Love the interior design! Staff are very friendly, there is no lift, but the kind staff helped me carried my huge suitcase all the way up to the 3rd floor. It’s be even better to have a kettle or hairdryer in the room. Had a comfortable stay, would definitely stay here again if I come back to visit Rotterdam! Thanks for the lovely stay!

Where to begin with my experience with Holiday Inn Express in Rdam.
Booking via Trip was easy and clear. When I asked the hotel about parking availability, they responded promptly via the messaging option. And upon my arrival, check in went quite well. The ”hygienic displeasures” started when I arrived to my room.
My first room was on the 3rd floor and when I arrived I decided to charge my phone, and look around the room. I saw that they had a little leaflet about pillowcomfort next to the bed, which resulted in me picking up one of the pillows. I noticed that under the pillow there were quite an amount of ”man hairs” stuck to the sheet. I decided open the bedsheets and to my unpleasant surprise, found even more. I contemplated in that moment what to do, decided to take a video and walk down to reception.
(Before walking down I decided to check the bathroom and noticed red lipstick on my bathroom glass and a very intense urine smell. So besides a bed full of hairs, they supply dirty glasses to guests too)
When I got down I politely asked one of the reception staff to look at the video and if they could help me change to a clean room. The lady apologized, she was visibly disgusted by the photos and video and changed me to the 5th floor. She asked me to check upon arrival if the new room had anything amiss, and if so, to come back down.
To my second- unpleasant surprise: this bedding had the same issue, besides some wear- and tear issues too. I went down to reception again and asked if she could follow me up. I apologised for making her shift difficult and showed her the bedding. She actually gasped with suprise and disgust. She apologized again, asked me to have a seat downstairs at the bar and offered me a drink whilst I waited for her to change my room again.
The 3rd room she changed me to, she personally checked. That room had no issues and was properly cleaned. Though after 1.5 hours of changing rooms- and waiting and a 18 hour travel, the whole check in experience was horrible.
This hotel has a supreme location, with that location you pay a price. For the price I paid and the unhygienic mess I got, this hotel is not worth it.
Secondly: One dirty room might actually be a mistake. But two? With this experience they tried to offer me free drink vouchers. But to be honest, that is nowhere near good enough for what I've seen that afternoon.
The breakfast buffet is very minimal and mediocre. You pay €25 to €32 per day for parking and their rooms arent exactly cheap either.
I must say that reception was trying to be really helpful, but this establishment needs to have a talk with their cleaning crew. Additionally: when I checked in the ladies behind the counter wore their uniform. But the gentleman in the middle wore a tracksuit, couldn't bother to greet guests and just didn't add to the ”hotel picture”.
My experience here wasn't great, I would not recommend this hotel and advise people to book something else in the area.
*Would have posted the video, but on Trip you can only post photos.

The hotel's location is quite good, with restaurants and a supermarket downstairs, and the commercial district just a short walk away. The interior is a bit old-fashioned, and the elevator was out of order. The room isn't very big either, and there was a noticeable sewage smell from the bathroom.

City Hub pods are an ingenious idea particularly for solo Travelers, backpackers or those that have simple needs. As I was travelling with my 16 year-old son we had to share a pod which meant it became quite squashed however super cool idea, very clean, very comfortable, fantastic facilities, friendly stuff And on a lively creative and buzzing street. My only complaint was that until around 2 am and from 8 am, I could hear people walking about on the floor above me which was really disturbing when I wanted a good night sleep. Would use a city hub again for slick service convenience and great facilities but not sharing one!

Quite an old building- both the exterior and common area. But a big surprise when entering the room - spacious, high ceilings, huge windows with views, sparkling clean. Very convenient location, 10 min walk to Market Hall. All other major attractions are within also within walking distance. Reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Great
TTotal travellerBeautifully design hotel, but our room was facing a busy street when we asked for a water view and the noise still came through time to time. The location is helpful and walkable distance to the metro but it’s confusing to find without directions. The spa pool was closed during our stay unfortunately bringing the amenities down since that was a main attraction. Appreciate the helpful staff.
GGuest UserWe booked a capsule. The room and Bathroom were very clean. The sound isolation - as expected- was very poor, but for a 1-night stay in last last-minute booking it was expected. Overall - nothing bad to say in this situation
爱爱丽丝小妹The hotel itself is excellent — everything was perfect, and the location is great with a supermarket nearby. I usually give a full score for my stays, but this time I couldn’t, because I encountered a serious issue with the front desk service.
We arrived at 1:30 PM and were informed that the check-in time is 3 PM, which we fully understood. Since it was raining, we waited patiently in the lobby.
However, during this time, I noticed that several guests who arrived after us were allowed to check in immediately.
When I approached the front desk again, I was told that our room was still not ready. It was only after I questioned why the other guests could check in earlier that the staff reluctantly assisted us, showing clear impatience.
This kind of double standard is extremely disappointing. Is it because we are Asian?
Such treatment should not happen in a well-known hotel like this, and it made our stay feel very unpleasant.
I hope the hotel will take this matter seriously and improve their service
GGuest UserWith a last minute decision to visit Rotterdam with my son, we chanced upon Art Hotel. Modestly priced and right next to Maashaven, it took less than 10 minutes to reach from Rotterdam Centraal. Even we arrived late after 10pm, there was nothing to worry about as the hotel is right next to the Metro station and brightly lit! The reception was fabulously served by Nadia who upgraded us to a 4 bedder in 2 rooms. Room was clean, set at the right temperature and shower was hot and at the right pressure. Nothing to complain about!
MM243765****The breakfast selection was a bit limited and the flavors were on the heavier side. However, the hotel facilities were otherwise great. It's conveniently located near Rotterdam Central Station, making it easy to get anywhere. I'd consider booking this hotel again in the future.
DDee SparksConveniently located just 15 minutes from both the train station and the main shopping district, this hotel offers an ideal base for exploring the area. It stands out as one of the better options in its category, offering comfort and excellent service.
The staff are a true highlight – friendly, attentive, and responsive to all enquiries. A special mention goes to Merle, who went above and beyond to assist us with travel arrangements. Her warm and professional manner made a lasting impression.
One area for improvement is the breakfast offering. Guests with dietary restrictions or those who avoid meat and eggs may find the options somewhat limited. Expanding the menu to cater to a wider range of dietary needs would enhance the overall experience.
Overall, a highly recommended stay with thoughtful service and a prime location.
GGuest UserNice hotel, good location. We rented a suite for a combined business and pleasure trip. Hotel is rights above a supermarket. Be careful!! Supermarket delivery trucks keep you from sleeping at night. Also Internet connection not working. Strongly recommend to not stay here. At least not when you are expecting a good night sleep.....Only poor excuse was offered. Friendly staff, just noisy rooms. Stay away!
SSuiyongLocation near Rotterdam Centraal ~900Metre can take tram No 8 platform A to The hostel a few minutes can use credit card scan at the tram when you get in tram and scan to get off tram otherwise they will charge maximum 4Euro I think normal fare is 1.10Euro at Eendrachtsplein station just across road that is hostel. The hostel not available hair dryer, toothpaste toothbrush soap just gel wash and towel if you want towel available at reception and must to pay for it.
There are many shop such as KFC,McDonald, cafe,Albert heijin supermarket.i have booked for 4people in One dorm including bathroom and one more bath room outside
AAnonymous UserQuite a nice hotel that is very close to the flixbus bus stop. Water pressure and heater are great. The air condition gets quite cold but you can always ask the reception to adjust it. It's an old building so every sound made within the building is amplified. Apart from that it was a very good stay.
GGuest UserLocation is exceptional - just outside Markthal and a 5 min walk from the harbours. 20 second walk from Rotterdam Blaak Train and Metro Station. You do get what you pay for however - rooms are VERY small (as depicted). There is a Shared “kitchen” area with tea / coffee also there.
Our shower didnt drain properly and so anything longer than 5 mins flooded the hotel room lol. Also no privacy in the bathroom - no lock and its frosted glass so be wise who you share it with! Only had 2 flat pillows for a double bed so that was a bit meh. Also a draft in the window so being December it was quite cold. AC / heating didn’t work either. TV worked with Netflix and Youtube, and you could stream from your phone but this was a bit temperamental.
Reception were kind but seemed a little unorganised / unsure about things. Would defo come here again however for a budget stay in the city, the location is absolutely unbeatable :
